I just lost my mother 3 months ago..she was just 3 months shy of 95..We went through our struggles when w were younger but became closer when I was in my 40s ....Mom set a good example of how to live your life right,She was kind and tough,, funny ......and loved life, friends and family.
It's great your mom and you take time to do trips like this. My mom and I started to do vacation trips about six years ago. We call them Mother/daughter trips. She's 78 years old and I'm 57. Never to old to have these times. Our trips included seeing native American cliff dwellings.
I love how you’re embracing this time alone. I’m sure it’s hard to live in such solitude but it looks so peaceful. ✨ It reminded me of when I started following you a couple years ago. Thanks for the secondhand bliss.
I just returned from escaping the fire smoke further up state. So, the part about coming home and changes in season totally resonates with me. This is another positively beautiful video! Looking forward to projects/cooking/chores/crafts/living and all the other winter activities Isabel will share with us in the coming months. Thanks again!
Some suggestions for back packing: 1) Bring rain gear 2) Wear a hat 3) Bring extra socks 4) Pack your backpack items in individual zip lock bags. It keeps them dry, and then you can also put away the wet things in a zip lock bag.
I love how you unapologetically enjoy being alone. Often when we say we like being alone our loved ones can think it means we don’t appreciate their presence all the time. Being alone is calming and allows you to ground into yourself.
Beautiful video! When I go backpacking, I always bring a large garbage bag that I can put over my pack in case it rains. Can't stop thinking about White, the magical 🐈😺
I can believe in the beauty of the world and life when I watch your videos. The trick is not to immediately watch the news afterwards. Thank you Isabelle. You’re a bright spot in an otherwise scary world.

You were quite right not to sleep up at the top of that mountain in wet gear. With some added waterproofing you'd have been all right. Best wishes on future hikes!

It must be our Scandinavian ancestors that guide us to those cold mountainous getaways to challenge and revitalize our sense of purpose and revitalize the essential core of meaningful interaction with nature. Thanks for the beautiful content.
This was one of the most beautiful videos I have ever seen, it literally brought me to tears when you were camping in nature and the snow started to fall down ❤😢
Thank you for filling my soul with so much joy. The same joy I felt the other day when I was looking at the beautiful colors of the trees. I was born in November so I do have a especial connection with autumn.
This fall is holding on for all of us to enjoy, you are helping us all enjoy the fall we are in - thanks Logan for that fine music also - and Mom for making the trip - she rocks..
Next year why don’t you try canning some of the things you get in your garden? Tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, the apples, berries, all are great canned and will offset not being able to get fresh produce in winter. You can even can soups, chilis, etc. Canning is easy once you get the tools for canning, and your garden produces enough. You can even supplement by buying what you don’t grow and canning that too. Then you can appreciate your gardening efforts year round. I do the old fashioned canning with jars in hot water bathes, but pressure canning is also an option. My Dad just gave me a ton of pears that he got off a neighbors tree that is partially in his yard. They were wonderful, but were all ripening at once. So in order to save them from spoiling, I canned a bunch of them in a light sugar sauce ( I made it really mostly water because the pears were so sweet). They are so good. They just melt in your mouth and are delicious. I will can them again next year and do some with cinnamon. I also can fig preserves, but we had that big freeze in TX last winter, and my figs froze back and haven’t produced enough to make the preserves yet. I am hoping next year. I also canned tomatoes (I made tomato sauce) from my Dad’s tomato plants as they produced a ton of tomatoes this year. Now it is pecan season, so we will be shelling and freezing pecans soon from the families pecan tree.
Such a blessing to be able to do that with your mother. My mom suffers from multiple mobility disabilities and could never accomplish a hike like that. I hope you appreciate that so much and I hope one day I can be a mom like that who can do those fun active things with my kids
Good story, there’s always at least one life lesson, one basic survival skill, one easy, hearty- inexpensive, earth friendly recipe and one song that makes me hit Shazam! Much to learn from this ☝️
Life has hit me pretty hard. I recently moved to a cabin in the north of Sweden from Miami and I learned so much about myself. It was a silent chaos, but it taught me so much about myself. I now post on RUclips about self improvement after surviving the Boston Marathon Bombing and ending up homeless, working the night shift around gang violence and living with PTSD. I just posted a video that I poured my heart and soul into about my story. I really hope it helps someone out there🙏🏽
A couple days ago I came across your videos for the very first time. I am extremely impressed. Your videos are very cinematic in nature with incredible music and content. I can’t stop watching. You are a remarkable young woman with such a mature outlook on life and our beautiful natural world. Hey Isabel! I wanted to send you a comment telling you how relaxing your videos are! I'm currently in a stressful situation and your calm, positive outlook and beautiful cinematography has alleviated some of that stress when watching your videos. Thank you for being you and sharing your life to the world.
Just beautiful and precious to watch you in your element....wonderful music by Logan. Sorry that your mom & you did not have a fulfilling trip together. It was sure beautiful to watch you walk into the fog and the rain, nonetheless. Love watching you Isabel...its such a meditation every time.🥀
The landscapes are such a delight for the eyes ! It's always a relaxing time when I spend it with my mom too... thank you for this video ! Wish you the best 🧡
how was the a 15 minute long video I feel like I just emerged into like another world. I started crying when you were in the snow. I miss the snow and have my favorite memories and feelings in it. I don't think I will be experiencing it this year to where I have to live. thank you for sharing all of this.
Whenever I'm stressed out, I visit Isabels channel. The scenery, the outdoors, the music and the peacefulness. The surrounding nature she's in.....it brings me down a notch.
Beautiful! In your last video, you said something like, “…and when we get old, we lose our parents…” My heart ached, but I didn’t comment. Then this video began with you spending time with your mom, and I could smile because I know you don’t take her for granted, and you’re both investing in your relationship. You see, I lost my mom to cancer when I was your age, 23, and I know I took her for granted. Now I’m about your mom’s age with two 20-something sons, and I know how much it means to her to spend time with you! May you have many more years and adventures together!
Your videos and You touch such a soft warm space in my heart. It’s really so lovely to connect with someone having never met in person. You being happy tears to my eyes and chuckles watching and tapping in to your content ❤️❤️❤️
I really miss White cat jumping around and following you everywhere 😥. Still hoping she finds her way back home. I hope that Black cat is okay and with you.
I think if you had a small bathroom with a shower and composting toilet it would be a little easier for certain tasks. You wouldn't have to worry about going outside for your hygiene needs. Something less stressful to worry about
You are so beautifully poetic and I could listen to your voice for hours and hours. Your videos are so pleasant and cinematic aswell. Keep up the amazing work❤️
your such a gem.. 💎 hey, you can have alfalfa sprouts in winter.. grow them, you used to have them.. just a thought.. even a herb pot in the tiny home, parsley, basil, chives.. at least it would be some raw.. it was great to see your Mum too.. thank you for sharing your time with her.. hopefully Logan wont be gone for too long, he can help with the wood.. have a blessed week, remember, one step at a time and enjoy that moment.. much 💜 from Australia Levi-Daisy
How on earth are you still able to harvest veggies when the nights are in the 20s and 30s?? That's such a blessing! The last of my tomatoes and cucumbers started dying weeks ago! 😢 love your videos ♡
I agree. I was just thinking the same thing. After frost, all my pepper and tomato plants were ruined. I'm an experienced gardener, and a lot of her harvests are hard to believe, that is if you're truly an organic gardener. Her cabbage, kale, squash leaves and fruit, and other plants appear perfect, but in reality, I have to deal with cabbage worms, squash bugs, squash vine borers, chipmunks, and the list goes on and on. She harvests "perfect" kale and cabbage every time, without a hole in it, without even any leaves bitten off, etc. Maybe she sprays with insecticides and doesn't say anything? Maybe she buys veggies from the supermarket and brings them in on an edit? I don't know, but I find a lot of her harvests hard to believe. Even so, you don't harvest peppers, etc., after a frost. Tomatoes may take some time to show frost damage, but I wouldn't eat them. Cukes too. I think a lot of her content is fake actually.
@@rociocrozzoli5251 You would be surprised what professional editing can accomplish. I know for sure it's impossible to have healthy looking peppers coming from a garden after a frost, or worse several frosts. I figure she sprays her garden with insecticides and uses chemical fertilizers. I know I don't remember her ever saying she gardened organically anyway. But, I feel a LOT of what she does is fake. Those dresses she wears in really cold weather are probably only for show; for content. She can appear like she's braving it, but in reality after the shoot is done (like in the movies), she can slip back into warm pants and a coat, lol. Do you realize that when you see how some adventurous movie was really made, I've seen "storms" faked by having a snowblower set up outside a cabin with a large fan creating a fake wind. Lots of big RUclipsrs do these same tactics to get it done and look real. I wish more people would just keep an open mind and choose not to be brainwashed so much in general. Just please keep an open mind about what is real and what might not be real on Isabel's channel and lots of other channels, movie sets, etc. Have a great day and week ahead.
@@rociocrozzoli5251 She can buy veggies at the store and bring them to her kitchen counter to make people think they really came from the garden lol. As far as taking them from the plants, any scene can be edited in that might've been taken from a previous video earlier in the summer or even from a clip that was never uploaded. Please keep an open mind. These RUclipsrs will do almost anything to have you believe their content is real to keep the views coming and subs staying. It's a living or part of a way of making a living.
Lovely video, as usual. I’m harvested the last of the cherry tomatoes and NM peppers here in the NE. I canned green chile stew and made blue corn green chile chicken enchiladas today. Grateful for the fall. ☮️ ❤
In life we never know what way the wind blows. We carry on with what we do making the most of what we have. Yes things go wrong but it makes us stronger and we learn more and cope better by it. Your videos are brilliant certainly gives me the inspiration to get out and go.. Bless you and stay safe.... Regards Mick... X
These videos are kinda like diaries, more like journal entries perhaps. Already can ascertain changes in tone, composition and such, which makes for evolving intriguing stories of pure natural delight. Like Isabel knows very well, it's the simple colorful things in her life that make best time for reflection and thought process, while riding the rainbow of seasonal harvests, pausing through coffee brakes, river dunks, and healthy eating. Love the awesome combo at 5:14! Keep them coming, Isabel! 💚
The video was posted a minute ago, and I'm less than 3 minutes in but beautiful! I wish I could explore nature the way you do. Sadly, I live in a desert. 😭😅
Beautiful scenery, a very peaceful video. Glad you got time with your Mom, I worry about you camping alone! But you seem comfortable with it. Thank you for continuing your fantastic channel
Here in Calgary we went from T shirt weather to deep snow in about 3 or 4 days this week. I can see you dancing around in this snow, though, so I got a kick out of it!
The cold weather is such a nice forced period of rest for me, as such an active person, traveler, videographer etc. I always resist it and find it triggering myself, but I’ve been learning to lean into it and it’s been super nice 😌

I'm sure it was great to be with your mother, enjoy your fresh vegetables, and the mountain snow. Thanks for letting us tag along.
Your root and squash harvest can be preserved without any canning. Just some saw dust, open bin or basket and your cool dark pantry.
Beautiful ! Thank you for sharing another adventure with us .
I am very grateful to have found your videos, Isabelle! You are so very blessed to live there! Wow! Your salad looks delicious! Have a beautiful life!
Awesome video!! Makes my Sunday better with all the turmoil going on in this 🌎 Isabelle, you are amazing💜
how was the a 15 minute long video I feel like I just emerged into like another world. I started crying when you were in the snow. I miss the snow and have my favorite memories and feelings in it. I don't think I will be experiencing it this year to where I have to live. thank you for sharing all of this.
Backpacking with your mom is like so totally awesome.. WOW. Nice to see the pacific coast. Thanks for sharing. Is that your voice singing?
Whenever I'm stressed out, I visit Isabels channel. The scenery, the outdoors, the music and the peacefulness. The surrounding nature she's in.....it brings me down a notch.
I love her videos I also love Joanna jilton
I am missing White cat terribly too. I was wondering where Black is too, especially while she's missing her sister White cat. :(
I think if you had a small bathroom with a shower and composting toilet it would be a little easier for certain tasks. You wouldn't have to worry about going outside for your hygiene needs. Something less stressful to worry about
It's so beautiful to see you out in the wilderness with your mama, spending time with each other the way we really should. 💚💛
Hi Isabel! Thank you so much for all of the time and effort you put into your videos. You are so inspiring!
You are so beautifully poetic and I could listen to your voice for hours and hours. Your videos are so pleasant and cinematic aswell. Keep up the amazing work❤️
Always so beautiful, always so creative. Thank you both for the love you put into what you do. I am so glad that you have each other.
Always look forward to Sundays thanks for making beautiful content as always. 🌲

hey, you can have alfalfa sprouts in winter.. grow them, you used to have them.. just a thought.. even a herb pot in the tiny home, parsley, basil, chives.. at least it would be some raw..
it was great to see your Mum too.. thank you for sharing your time with her..
hopefully Logan wont be gone for too long, he can help with the wood..

@@jerry3579 you can literally see her taking all the veggies from the plants, how the heck could she be faking it? 😂
Should carry a Poncho to cover yourself and your backpack.
Try infrared panels for your home and outhouse. I think that would help to keep you warm and make those areas ver cozy. Low cost too
Thank you so much for your hard work that results in your amazing videos! Thanks again, love you 💚
Here in Calgary we went from T shirt weather to deep snow in about 3 or 4 days this week. I can see you dancing around in this snow, though, so I got a kick out of it!
I love Isabel’s vibes ❤ always so delightful to watch ❤
The cold weather is such a nice forced period of rest for me, as such an active person, traveler, videographer etc. I always resist it and find it triggering myself, but I’ve been learning to lean into it and it’s been super nice 😌
The first like!!! Thank you Isabel for making Sundays a little extra special!
Beautiful & peaceful love it!!! Ty Isabel ✌️🤎
