Darren I just love the informal chats and all your content. No fancy jumping over cameras etc. and don’t need loads of collaborations with other people. Although I must say I’d like to see you have a day or night out with Geoff before he heads home as he’s also a genuine no frills guy like you. Xxx
Phi Phi Island Darren. No traffic and nice base to see smaller caves/islands. Krabi is nice you can take a 10 minute Dow to Railay Beach…….very nice. Thanks for the videos :-)
Thank you Darren, I'm really enjoying your adventure. It's lovely seeing you enjoy it. Looking forward to your journey next week. Your living the dream😅
Good morning my man. Good to hear you’re planning to explore. Hua Hin is quite a long trip from Jomtien so takes some planning. Enjoy the trip. See you soon . Paul
Looking forward to your adventure next week, the island sounds lovely and it will be good to see you travelling on the bike. Was so not jealous of that pool in 29 degree heat☺️.
In Hua Hin now Darren , about to go to Bangkok in the morning on the bus then Siem Reap for four nights on Monday, then back to Hua Hin. You will love Koh Samet really chilled vibe . Have a great trip .👍May see you about when we get up to Pattaya on the 26th.
Think you’ve pulled Darren ! Loving your posts, really looking forward to your adventures. Koh Samet will be beautiful for you. Take care as a biker would like to see you in a full face though.
Good choice Darren I love Koh Samet , a few ideas for future short trips Bangsaen, the various beaches around Rayong, Samae San island and a little further afield koh kood and koh chang
Hi Darren, talking to my pal about your travels, he's been to Thailand 46 times, he says the place you are going to is beautiful, and he mentioned Koh Larn as well as somewhere he really enjoyed. Have a terrific time.
Hi Darren Glad to hear that you have got some events booked up and look forward to these ventures. Well you seem to be enjoying rhar lovely swim and when you said it was 29 degrees I envy you because here in the UK for the last few days we have been suffering with -10 and weekend is about the same thank goodness we have not had snow yet. Again thank you and enjoy your Choc/Banana shakes.
Enjoy Koh Samet beaches….further away from white sands beach the better as less crowded with day trip tourists etc…I stayed at Vong Duan beach yrs ago…nice air con bungalows at the end of beach…it’s more expensive nowadays so take plenty cash & mozzie repellant!! Other places to travel not too far away fr Jomtiengrad; Ban Ampur beach…Na Jomtien beach…Silver Lake resort with Buddha mountain…more beaches at Rayong…🤔😎
Koh Samet is fantastic! Went last year and stated on Sai Keow (Beach Club)..right on the main beach so you can walk along at night and stop off at the bars (Winks a great bar) and if you walk as far as you can there's a fabulous fish restaurant! Probably wouldn't want to take your bike, catch the speed boat over for 500bht! Hope to see you in Hua Hin in April!
I'm in Pai now the pool is bloody freezing lol I've booked up 2 weeks in Samet I can't wait too but I just hope I haven't booked to long Have a great time 😁
Wow looks so refreshing Darren! Very hot here 35 Degrees C ...just about had enough of the heat!! Cant wait to see the Island Darren! We havent had rain for months! Another great outstanding video Darren stay safe Helen in Australia 🇦🇺 P.S. Sounds like a plan Darren!! ❤🎉
Yeah koh same is such a good spot considering it’s an hour from Pattaya , done the ride myself on a twist and gonna years ago , going down the scenic route away from highway
Koh Samet is an amazing place, beautiful beaches, we usually stay at the Tonsak Resort right on the beach. BTW you are correct with regards to the pronounciation it's not PAT-EYE-AH, it's PAT-EE-YAH :D. Will will be there in 12 weeks, but not counting at all lol. Next up, get a min-bus down to the pier for Koh Chang, much bigger than Koh Samet and well worth a visit. It's about 3 hours journey down hence the mini-bus rather then your bike.
Hi DJ Great vid. Glad you are getting away for a few days, u have had a full on month since getting there, but well done you settling in and not listening to the naysayers. I know u like Krabi as do I and have been many times from where I stay in Malaysia. Every October, I think, they have a bike week there, it’s worth checking out as the biker you are. I just happened to be there one year b4 Covid at the same time as it was happening, 100s of bikes of all sorts. Bikes scare the S out of me but they are beautiful to look at. Anyway thought u might be interested, maybe a road trip later in the year Take care Cheers!!
Samet is great, enjoy!!! Have a trip to koh chang too another great Island 👍 Following both your channels keep up the great work, loving it. What a lovely adventure to see. I have been visiting Thailand for over 20 years every year and moving out from London myself soon. Lets live the dream!!! 👍😎
You’re need a bigger face if that smile gets any bigger enjoy your travels & adventures there’s so many to have in thailand enjoying the videos even when I’m lucky enough to live here 2 happy days 😎👍
My favourite part of Thailand is Koh Pangan, Tan sed hat not sure spelt any of it right. But when i was there 25 years ago. It was so unspoiled. Because there qas no propwr road to that side of teh island.
Have been to Koh Samet a few times now, Parts of the island are do die for. My only issue is the rubbish. Plus when you catch the boat across , just get the normal ferry across. Not one directly to the resort . Plus don't forget you have to pay a fee when landing on the island as it is a National Park, and make sure you hang onto the receipt ....
Kho Samet is a loverly small island. We went there after watching Moto GP at Buriram. We took the speedboat and not the Ferry to get there. You can hire scooters to get around, you cant go fast as there are speed ramps every few hundred feet. Its very quiet and relaxing there, you have to pay tourist tax when you arrive and there are only a couple of cash points when you get there, so be warned.
Alright daz if yer dont mind me saying you are looking alot healthier mate the sun helps vitamin D the food you are eating with alot on the menu you are eating only the thais can make the vedge taste so good by their sauces they add you look so happy mate keep calm and carry on mate from a fellow brit born in stoke on trent❤
When you get a bit more time go down to Koh Chang, and maybe from there over to Koh Kood. Koh Chang is my favourite Thai island, with Koh Kood, a tiny island to just chill, second. Including ferry time it's about 4hrs from Jomtien, but absolutely worth the trip. Koh Samet is amazing too.
I've visited kho chang on numerous occasions (also my favourite island) but on my last trip spent afew nights on kho khood and it was lovely. I just rent a car in pattaya and drive to Trat, spend one night in Trat and head over to the islands 🏝 🇮🇪👍
Love the videos m8 👍 I’m here in hua hin at the minute then head to krabi on Monday can’t wait I’m not a massive fan of hua hin it’s ok but just a quiet version of patttaya so my advice would stick to the islands 👍
Great u are going to Samet. I know it really well and have been over 20 times! Will be curious as to where you stay there!! Its a fantastic chilled island. Look forward to yr updates! I am there next month plus trying Jom Tien for a week. Maybe even a coffee Daz!
I have been to Phuket (sort of islandish) Koh Samui, Phi Phi (both islands) Ko Pha Ngan, Koh Tao, Krabi, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Surat Thani and Chumpon, have not been to Koh Samet or Pattaya........yet!!!!
Bloody pommy bath dodger!! As an Aussie i would have been in that pool the day i moved in. Make it a part of you routine with the gym each day. Skip the english brekkys, enjoy basic luxuries and great food every day. Another great vid mate, wish i was there!
Try Rayong big man, about an hour from where you are, well worth a trip, or for a Thai resort Bangsaen less than a hour, back up towards BkK. When you've got ya bike Koh Kood, absolutely beautiful, when we were there no ATM or 7/11 but plenty of decent roads, with hardly any traffic.
Hi Darren, weather is so grim here, I’m very jealous! I’d have cracked and bought a bike by now. The new Royal Enfield’s are a bargain here. What’s the bike market like in Thailand?
“You can never cross the ocean unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore.” God bless you on your voyage Darren. Looking forward to the sharply edited, highly professional video to come.❤
pah-ta-yaah (with the elongated yaah) last one was cloestest but you're not used to elongated vowels :) (the yaa is about twice as long as the first 2 syllables)
If I was you I would stay on that Island 🏝️ more it's a great place. Are favourite place is Kho Lipe. Chris and kitty Liverpool England. O bye the way my girl is Thai and she loves going back there.
Darren I've always been a fan of yours since my mother in law (a long term Tenerife resident) told me she's seen u live any times over there! 😂 Anyway, i digress... absolutely loving following your current journey and as u well know the trolls wint go away so stay true to yourself and keep on keeping on!!
No I'm not jealous,much😁
it's what life is about enjoy darren, you are making me envious 😉 keep the great videos coming..
Look forward to that. Island looks the biz 👍🏿
You really are enjoying your new life. Looking forward to your upcoming videos.
Darren I just love the informal chats and all your content. No fancy jumping over cameras etc. and don’t need loads of collaborations with other people. Although I must say I’d like to see you have a day or night out with Geoff before he heads home as he’s also a genuine no frills guy like you. Xxx

Looking forward to your adventure next week, the island sounds lovely and it will be good to see you travelling on the bike. Was so not jealous of that pool in 29 degree heat☺️.

I used to stay at Samed Villa on the island. Beautiful spot. But difficult to get a room. Check it out. Really nice
You look so chilled out & thanks for sharing DJ 😎🌴

Watching from a sunny Tenerife ☀️ hope you are living the dream
How is Tenerife?
Yeah koh same is such a good spot considering it’s an hour from Pattaya , done the ride myself on a twist and gonna years ago , going down the scenic route away from highway
well its minus 12 c here....hot water bottle in hand.... bugger 28 c there.. hahaha great vlog brother cant wait for a new journey
Oh yes, Ko Samed is nice. If you're not into snorkeling, then I think it's just as good as some of the islands down south.
You look so happy mate
That person was funny, looks like you have a friend😂😂🧑

Hi, your looking good Darren, nice to see you in the swimming pool. Looks pretty good 😊🥹
Kho Samet is a loverly small island. We went there after watching Moto GP at Buriram. We took the speedboat and not the Ferry to get there. Myself and my wife visited Koh Samhui few years ago truly beautiful ❤
Apologies my Thai Spelling not the best 🤣
It’s great being in the city but I can’t imagine many opportunities to be in touch spiritually with buildings roads cars bikes . Nature is the healer.

Lovely Island can be a bit touristy in high season , Koh Chang also a beautiful island but it’s 5 hours
Not if you fly from Bangkok it’s not
I have been to Phuket (sort of islandish) Koh Samui, Phi Phi (both islands) Ko Pha Ngan, Koh Tao, Krabi, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Surat Thani and Chumpon, have not been to Koh Samet or Pattaya........yet!!!!
Chiang Kan
We are Darren. Were looking forward to watching your journey unfold before us. No need for clickbait just pure enjoyment
Koh kood is the best! You must go
Vietnam is way cheaper than Thailand and really cheap flights from where you are
No apologies needed enjoy yourself and do it your way 👍
Needs the Jaws background music ...nice gaff!
Sat here in freezing blighty. Not jealous one single bit DJ.....
I know it has been boltic and the looking at Daz in the bloody pool. I think what am I doing here.

Bloody pommy bath dodger!! As an Aussie i would have been in that pool the day i moved in. Make it a part of you routine with the gym each day. Skip the english brekkys, enjoy basic luxuries and great food every day. Another great vid mate, wish i was there!
Try Ko Alan short boat trip from Pattaya
Try Rayong big man, about an hour from where you are, well worth a trip, or for a Thai resort Bangsaen less than a hour, back up towards BkK. When you've got ya bike Koh Kood, absolutely beautiful, when we were there no ATM or 7/11 but plenty of decent roads, with hardly any traffic.
Is Rayong worth a couple of days? And is it best to stay right in the centre?
@@santorini8423yeah nice for a couple of nights, you wouldn't want a week, but nice beaches, but more going on in the center
The girl in the pool swimming behind you should have her own show😅
If you're up north this spring the white water rafting is a good day out. i did it in January but apparently it's full on around March/April/May.
I’m in Chang Mai soon, is it near there?
@@santorini8423 Yeah, you can find tours at local travel agents in Chang Mai.
The lady in the pool got her 15 minutes of fame!
Go to Koh Chang DJ, it’s not too far and it’s fantastic 👍🏻
Hi Darren, weather is so grim here, I’m very jealous! I’d have cracked and bought a bike by now. The new Royal Enfield’s are a bargain here. What’s the bike market like in Thailand?
It's a hard life, have fun out there
Will you be going to Koh Samui/ Koh Phangan?
A lovely islandis koh chan about 4 to 5 hour drive and not motorway so ok for the bike but a lot of peoples best choice
“You can never cross the ocean unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore.”
God bless you on your voyage Darren. Looking forward to the sharply edited, highly professional video to come.❤
Or a boat
Is it operation ko samuie
Take cash to Koh Samet. I read recently that there is currently no ATM on the island.
pah-ta-yaah (with the elongated yaah) last one was cloestest but you're not used to elongated vowels :) (the yaa is about twice as long as the first 2 syllables)
The pool doesnt look like the one in your house tour video? Is there another one?
Yes, there are 2 at this condo
I went there to Koh Samet back in 1988 , before it was more built up Devine little island.
Grab a bus to Hua Hin from North Pattaya bus station.
420 baht, easy peasy 😊
If I was you I would stay on that Island 🏝️ more it's a great place. Are favourite place is Kho Lipe. Chris and kitty Liverpool England. O bye the way my girl is Thai and she loves going back there.
