      It's not as easy as you think; idols used to get punished/overworked or harassed for the slightest mistake, be a voice crack or not being in sync or even if the mentors don't like the performance, the entire group could get punished for one's mistake. So it's not the idols but the company who wanted the idols to be devoted to their performances whatsoever. But fortunately idols these days a treated better, either because of the media/audience pressure, senior idols taking stands or just for sympathy. But some companies sadly still treat idols like slaves 😢

    • @GoodwillWright
      @GoodwillWright 9 дней назад +4

      @@enchantiia Generally when someone is having a seizure, they should not be moved or physically interacted with unless their current environment is dangerous. At most you will ease them onto the ground if they are going into freefall and if permitted, lay them on their side or back.
      Due to violent physical jerking, there is a risk of severely injuring the person having the seizure if they are physically restrained. Only move or restrain them if they risk further and more severe injury due to their environment.
      Most of the time a seizure doesn't need to be "treated" and will end in a few minutes or so. If the person needs to have intervention, then you'd use Midazolam administered via nasal.
      In this situation, in an ideal world, the performance should've been paused and lights dimmed/turned off so the person could have their seizure and then moved when safe to do so.

    As an epileptic patient, I feel it inhumane and immoral to drag someone off the stage during seizure attack. What the heck?! They are being unprofessional by still performing! The proper medics are not always present which results in harsh decisions like this. The least they could do was pause and shut down lights, tend her and take to backstage
    I advise everyone to learn what to do and how to aid a seizure attack patient. PLEASE. It could save someone's life.
    Step 1 - don't make a commotion by forming a circle which leads to cut off air circulation. 1 or 2 persons are enough to tend him/her. Contact ambulance. In mean time, follow rest of the steps.
    Step 2 - Place patient on left
    Step 3 - remove any glasses, pins, belt, shoes or tight clothing like tie and collar button
    Step 4 - hold person tightly so that they can avoid any injuries
    Step 5 - when seizures stopped, still hold them as they could relapse
    Step 6 - don't let them sit or give water anything when they get consciousness. Let them lie down. They won't have proper gait and have terrible headache
    Step 7 - don't force them to talk. Let's them talk on their own. Ask their well being and contact their family.

    As someone who has seizures, I really feel for the last girl. And I'm sorry, but full-blown medical emergencies like that should be the one time everyone is allowed to stop what they're doing and render aid if capable or get someone that can. I understand that the group themselves might not be able to see whats going on bc they're behind them, but the other backup dancers should be allowed to at least try and help instead of keep dancing around them and looking terrified. And yes, I know that some did stop and try to help, but I'm speaking generally. I hope she was ok. As for the first two, I couldn't imagine trying to continue dancing while being in that much pain. I'd be in a corner crying somewhere, so good for them being able to push through. But again, normalize idols getting immediate care bc sometimes what seem like small falls or injuries could be made infinitely worse if they dont get treated right away, and especially if they're still using that part of their body to dance and whatnot
    Edit: typos

    • @anonygent
      @anonygent Месяц назад +1

      I can't blame the idols overmuch because they're just kids who haven't been exposed to a lot in life and a) wouldn't recognize the signs, and b) wouldn't know what to do. Only if you've been around an epileptic or you know something about medicine would you know what to do in this situation.

    • @imsteph84
      @imsteph84 Месяц назад +1

      @anonygent I agree 100%. I realize now that I probably didn't word things properly bc I was a little worked up lol it's really not the members'/backup dancers' responsibility, but if you have someone in the group that is prone to certain ailments, then I feel like there should be the appropriate care givers on hand to deal with such scenarios. But that aside, regardless of the others not knowing medical responses, I feel like they should be allowed to wave their arms and stop everything (ie music, lights, etc) so that care can be given immediately rather than after the song or whatever. Idk if that makes sense, I'm kinda rambling. I by no means am saying that it's their full responsibility to treat said member, but I feel like a better response could be planned. I know the majority of them are so young and are just doing their jobs, I genuinely mean no ill intent towards them at all. It's the companies and the broadcasters that need better rules in place. But thank you for replying and making me realize that I probably came off wrong. I really do appreciate it! ❤️

    "Showing their commitment to the show and ...concern" by continuing to dance while your colleague has fallen down or us having an epileptic seizure. Take a look a the Mexican band The Warning who stopped playing when someone in the audience collapsed on the floor. They then started the song over and played it again. That is showing concern and commitment.

    The last one... that is just bad. And if I had been a fan of that group before it happened I certainly wouldn't be afterwards. Idols should be showing the best people can be (in theory, let's ignore the problems with that idea) when given the opportunity to show humanity, these idols just didn't. They appear to basically ignore a medical emergency happening right next to them on stage. F*** that.
