Just started watching your project. I've been on the fence about learning to weld but seeing all the great things that you're doing makes me want to commit to learning. Currently converting an old school bus into our mobile house.
Hey Nate. Cool man, send me some photos on the bus, Definitely recommend picking up some welding skills. Mig welding is pretty straight forward, and actually a lot of fun. Arc welding takes a bit of practice, and can be frustrating, but a lot cheaper to do, and arc welders are pretty affordable. Things on the bus WILL break, so best to carry a welder around with you (we're doing that so we can fix things on the road). Glad you're enjoying the videos, have a great one!
Hey Thomas. Thanks, Jolandie is actually busy with the bike at the moment. sh'es stripped it down, prepped it, and it's now ready for paint. The bike platform's design is also done, and we will start work on it soon.
Binge watching to catch up. That roof rack is a beast. I can see it holding those big crates/ boxes while still having a nice sunset chilling bench to lay back on.😮😊💪👍🚚
I'm pleased that you're enjoying the build. Look forward to sharing future videos with you. We were planning on having a side-deck but decided to do a combo with the roof rack. The overhang also gives us some shade in the cab.
GREAT JOB ON RECYCLE. I REALLY LIKE THE 12VOLT AIR CON UNIT. WOW. I NEED THAT . THOSE WATER BLADDERS ARE REAL INTERESTING. ARE YOU GOING TO LAY THEM IN A TUB TO SUPPORT THEM IN THE FRAME? CANT WAIT TO SEE THE BENZ COME HOME SOON... EXCELLENT.
Hey Race! Yes, The frames are cladded with flat sheet to support the bladders. We're actually quite a bit ahead of this video. Trying to catch up. Editing takes a lot of time. Will upload soon. hope all is well with you, and have a great one!
Happy New Year to Betsy from Noomi! You both continue to be an inspiration for many who have the same dream. Your humility is charming, your ingenuity & resourcefulness is an inspiration to us all! I look forward to accidentally bumping into you on our great Continent sometime soon! Take care, keep, keeping us posted!
Hey Paul! Thank you very much for always sending these motivating messages. We will definitely see each other on the road, but will pop in at Jeffreys probably a bit before you hit the road. Wishing you a pocket full of patience this year!
Good morning Daniel. We're from Nelspruit (which is about 3 hours from Jhb). We'll be driving for ten years, through 64 countries. The likelihood that we'll run into thieves on the journey is almost guaranteed. Did get your msg on fb, will reply shortly. Have a good one
Hi there Danie. Hope you're doing well. Apologies for only getting back to you now. Bought the unit at Macs. It's near Anderson street in Nelspruit. I haven't connected it yet, but should by next week. Hope that helps. I have heard of you, and referred some folks over to you in the past. Have a great one
