Aram Khatchaturian's "Toccata" for piano came to mind as I listened to the repeated procession of a single note/ phrase on the marimba and on the piano in "Marimba Dance". You have, of course, created your own vibrant tonality and spirit. R.Petrauskis is a perfect match - you are both very 'into' your performance.
I'm very happy for this video because the notation in my piano score is very confusing in my edition. I think there is an editing error. In mm 17 through 25, I can't tell if the right hand chord should be on beat 3 or the & of 2. It sounds like it should be on the & of 2. I love this piece!
Rihards! Your composition is dynamic, with subtlety and power together. I was lifted up and transported by your wonderful play of rhythms, by the surprising development of your themes, and by the water-like flow and movement of your "Marimba Dance". You are great to watch too! Thanks so much for posting this concert.
Hello Richard Zalupe I loved this composition, I wanted to play this piece for my audition at the school of music, please, where I can get sheet music? Might send them to me by email? thank you very much for your attention.
