- The Motordyne Shockwave e370 system along with the Motordyne ART Pipes is how every 370z and G37 Coupe should sound. If you own a tomei its time to sell it because as far as I am concerned this is the cleanest sound for any NA setup. Boosted I'll agree the tomei has it down.

Update guys I got the motordyne cbe it’s beautiful if you want a nice loud ish exhaust with no cabin drone, however I’m still waiting on the art pipes which will definitely change a bit of that
I agree this setup sounds more deep and throaty where as the Tomei setup sounds raspy and high pitch.

Tom Jack Tomeis are just so high pitch, and are loud even when your not on the gas. I like this because it’s not drony like a tomei can be and it’s more deep and rowdy. And when you let off the gas it’s relatively quiet. Tomeis just bring out VQ trumpet drone. I do like tomeis in certain applications, just not more than this kind of setup.

You CANNOT beat a full Motordyne set up for that premium VQ note!!! You just can't. A select few can sound "as good" but definitely not better.
You can but its gonna be louder... ART Pipes, AAM midpipe, and AAM RESONATED Short Tails.... look up Covey Little or Junior Holis 370z

Idk invidia sounds pretty good and don't seem to have the fart sound at the end of the rev. Just stumbled over spec d exhaust , it's way cheaper and sounds just as good .

Same here man. My buddy had it on his G35 with no Art pipes and sounded great. Then my other buddy got it for his IPL with art pipes. I saved up for it and installed it myself at home lol. That was about, shit, 4 years ago almost. Was looking of maybe switching up to single exit, now saw this video and said fuck that.. It just sounds too good to switch up.

Legit Motordyne is the best exhaust for the VQ, VHR and our VR30 motors, I’ve had it for every engine iteration on 3 different cars now lol.
VQ and VHR are the same technically.
DE, HR, and VHR are different

@@Supanikaa89 engine is super reliable/capable of power. Probably is the transmission is pretty weak in these cars. That 7AT is a true slush box

Art pipes replace the oem catalytic converters which are after the stock headers... The shockwave exhaust is fully intact and starts immediately after the art pipes
So sick man! I love that setup. I wish I could get the art pipes on my 2014 Q60s. it’s AWD and I heard the art pipes don’t fit the AWD. I plan on installing the motordyne exhaust. What do you think about the motordyne HFC? Do you think that would be a good sub for the art pipes? I love that tone it has! Thanks again!
You can have an exhaust shop modify the art pipes to fit slightly. There are a couple people in my area that had them modified to run on their AWD

There's no cel with this setup. The art pipes extensions on thr O2 sensors that prevent that

Not a cheap setup but sounds amazing. What else is done to the car? I have an 09 Sport + Touring AT that is bone stock and would love to do at least exhaust and intake but not sure if I'll see any gains from it.
It’s mostly for the enjoyment of the sound makes it far more enjoyable, this car is currently turbo as you can see in my vids from about 1-2 years ago and in the playlists for boosted 370z

I got a quote from soho to boost my Z but because it’s an AT it gets costly, 16k+
@@Unxpekted like you'll lose weight from stock exhaust being heavy, getting rid of stock cats frees up significant response and weight and then finally overall flow maybe gains 10-20whp with a tune which is a nice small bump

This one is not tuned yet, it's kw v3 suspension and Motordyne you can get from jrp / jm auto racing or directly from Motordyne. Some other sites like conceptzperformance might sell it as well or z1-motorsports

@@yehnahnahyeh8570 Sounds crazy good personally. Does sit lower then oem so try to raise it when installing it. In higher rpms it's louder so it sometimes cancels out talking. Hella loud too especially with test pipes

Sounds nothing like a Tomei, Motordyne has a very distinct sound. Tomei screams high pitched and does sound nice at full throttle, but so does Motordyne. I like both, but for low normal driving, I think Motordyne takes the cake. Tomei is very raspy and sometimes can get annoying. If I can easily slap a Tomei on and switch back and forth I would, lol.

I just got my shockwave fitted today, ordered it 7.5 months ago and just arrived monday. Unfortunately it really doesn't sound like this video at all, granted I don't have the ART pipes but do they really make that much of a difference to the sound?? Shame because I don't know if I overhyped it abit too much or if there's something else that needs added

Anybody heard the spec d exhaust? It's got the same canister baffles and it's under 300 bucks. The low price scares me but the system is sold out everywhere so there must be something to them.
Dont waste your money. They have poor fitment issues and will never sound like the motordyne. Look up DNA and j2 for exhaust sound.

You can try from jm auto racing if they have stock but usually they ship direct from Motordyne so you should see if they have stock first

Sounds good but the tomei is better performance all around. Weight savings, more HP, Torque at wheels and a better price. I think it was Z1 that did a Dyno comparison of like 10 exhaust systems and Tomei out performed all of them in terms of the above mentioned. Im sticking with Tomei.

Go to Motordyneengineering.com and get their E370 system and art pipes. U can also purchase from vendors like jm auto racing it's a bit cheaper

Yea you could get the xyz pipe from them with a cat or resonator in it maybe just check with them if it still fits

My 350Z HR has all Tomei. All 4 parts Tomei Japan. Not Tomei USA.
Tomei V2 Headers, Tomei straight pipes, Tomei resonated Y pipe and Tomei dual exit.
Must be ear piercing loud
