i think it isn't being mentioned maybe because its too deep of a cut for a casual sailor moon fan. sailor stars didn't come along until closer to the end of the series so likely only people that watched the whole thing front to back would even know about them or recognize that reference

Plastique is dressed as Sailor Star Fighter from Sailor Moon with her girl group. I'm surprised she managed to wear it with copyright.
My point of view since the outfit wasn't called the original name and the hairstyle was different enough, they could have escaped the copyright. That's how most Halloween costumes from official characters have off brand names like Fred Flintstone costume could be called Cartoon Caveman but I could be wrong.
Every time ru talks about the badge towards the end of episode 1 and into episode 2 it gets progressively more like Simone talking about the flag factory. Also there's a little ting! after she says it every time lol

Kind of but for me, oversized scissors represent breaking ground on a project (could be associated with a good cause/charity). It's all stretch for sure.
Taiga is actually really successful in Mexico n she actually speaks Spanish. It makes sense she got the gig❤
all stars 9 is really, really good despite it being a non elimination season.the queens and production are delivering so far. i hope it remains this way for the entire season.
I think they brought in queens that love the show and have something to prove to the fandom (except Angeria maybe). They did something similar with all stars 6 and passionate/driven queens cancel out the lackluster format every time!!
I was honestly worried episode 1 with the critiques when nothing negtive was said. But in the ball they got into real critiques so im much more hopeful for the season
I agree!! I wasn’t sure, but this feels much better than 7 already. Also, this cast across the board made me smile after episode 1 because I just realized how much I genuinely really, really like everyone.

I hate how negative everyone is being about that lip sync! Plastique didn’t know the words, didn’t emote, and was dancing well but not for that song. Mik gave it their all, which yeah, isn’t always super impressive when it comes to performing, but there was emotion, humor and connection to the judges. Looking at Gottmik IS the performance 😍
Easily her best lip sync but I can't help thinking how great it would've been with Roxy or even Nina.
Kinda want Plastique to lip sync again because you can just tell majority of the other queens would also beat her too. These days, looks alone don't win a competition whether it's for charity or not.

Love Gotmik but I feel like her first look, being a total look from Versace it's just not fair compared to the others queens that created a look from scratch for the ball... like I never like seeing looks from fashion designers into the runway, it takes me out of the drag sphere into something else... second and third look ATE. Plastique was the clear Top 1. All looks impecable and the body illusion she created was just so well-done.
Same. I thought it was kind of boring, too, compared to some of the other looks. I also can't stand that she could hardly walk in the second dress, no matter how beautiful it was.
@Fluf-bh8op what I mean is that the look was part of a collection conceived by someone else (my guess Donatella and her team) for the purpose to fit another concept... not a single concept conceived by the queen in collaboration with a drag designer to fit the prompt, to me it is almost like cheating, getting a head to toe look from a designer from a pre-existing collection. She's so creative, she doesn't need looks from Donatella anyway! Same with Kerri Colby when she modelled the look for J.Lo runway > just lazy

Maybe I’m crazy, but i LOVED shannel’s look she made!!! Especially considering she hand painted everything and all the ombres, I think it is doing the most in the best way.
same I loved it! I thought the color palette was gorgeous and the fact that she even painted the crystals hanging off it was so cool to me! it was fun, asymmetrical, and a different vibe than we normally get from Shannel I love it!

Yeah, exactly why I would have blocked her in episode one rather than Roxxxy. When watching the first episode without knowing what week 2 would be, I had a strong feeling it would be a ball and there was no way Gottmik would not be one of the top two for the ball.

I usually agree with basically everything but this time I don’t! Idk if I’m crazy but, as for now the only Roxxxy outfit I liked is the one she Made in episode two. Especislly the blue one in the first episode and the clock one I didn’t like. Also Jorjeous’ runway for the first episode I thought was pretty but nothing incredible, especislly before the reveal, i thought it was a weird shape. Also, I know it was messy but I actually liked shannel paint look. I thought the color pallette she did was so pretty.
Also i really liked the lipsync of episode two. Plastique was pretty off but i actually really really liked Gottmik’s lipsync.

I agree. I thought the fabric that the blue dress was made out of looked cheap. Honestly though Roxxxy Andrews is so legendary that there will be a lot of Roxxxy colored glasses.

The scissors was called "The Ruby Snippers" like the ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz. I think the scissors are better than the platinum plunger as well.
There’s something about Knowing Gottmik spent so much on these looks that makes it feel cold and disperate that I don’t really get wowed by her amazing looks as I thought I would. Like it’s hard to appreciate her when my first thought is “oh Gottmik has a lot of money.”

The scissors they are using are called “The Ruby Snippers.” It’s a play on words for the Ruby Slippers Dorothy wore in “The Wizard of Oz” movie. And I think that goes even deeper because RuPaul loves that movie. 😀👍🏻👸🏻🏳️🌈
Not gonna lie - I wasn't impressed by Plastique on Season 11, so I wasn't expecting much from her. But this time around... GAGGED! She is showing up to compete, and I'm really looking forward to seeing her growth each week.
As for the Snatch Game, I expect Nina to do well, but I also wouldn't count out Gottmik, Roxxxy, Plastique, Angeria, or even Shannel. (Jorgeous and Vanjie are probably the least likely to excel, but I might have to eat my words; you never know).
Maestro ends up being the child of a villain and part of a legion. Maestro might come back but Doctor who has long term plots. Lol
The main complaint I had about the girl group challenge was that there were too many people on the stage, especially with the male dancers up there as well. It looked really messy. They needed to break them up into 2 groups.
I miss the small girl group challenges like UK seasons 1 & 2 where there were only 3-4 in a group. Any more and it’s easy for it to look messy.

The thing about Valentina is that the looks were stunning but it was kind of hard to watch in Spanish her struggling to speak the language every time we saw her on screen

I feel like roxxy could have won the ball over mik. Im not mad at miks win but i just really didnt think that mik had an elevated enough monochrome outfit. Compared to roxxy who killed every catagory. While mik probably had the look of the night with on the second catagory i feel like roxxy also made a more technically impressive look
Mik definitely had the stand out look of the night, but Roxxxy definitely deserved top 2 over her.
Plastique could’ve won both episodes
Plastique should have been in the top on both episodes, but I’m glad she at least got it once
at first i was saying vanjie and angeria should have been top 2 but jorgeous' choreo, performance and runway tipped her over when it comes to vanjie. vanjie and jorgeous were neck and neck for #2.
I dont think Shannel's design look was that bad, it wasnt the best but it looked good.

People drag season 11 so much, but the girls from that season keep on coming back and showing that season was actually lowkey one of the most stacked casts ever. The season I think just didn’t represent some of them properly.
I mean you have Yvie for all winners, Brooke hosting CDR, A’Keria getting robbed on AS6, Silky becoming one of the most reputable lip syncers ever and nearly winning CVTW, Vanjie being on every TV show ever and now AS9, Ra’jah slaying AS6 and winning CVTW, Scarlet slaying UKVTW2, Kahanna getting redemption on AS8, Nina being a huge workhorse queen and now AS9, and now also Plastique coming out of the gate hot on AS9.

from her season, I believe Gottmik goes by she/her in drags he/him out of drag, rather than they/them.
This was a great couple of opening episodes, some really strong competitors. I like that its a non-elimination season but they are keeping the negative critiques.
For episode 2, I was around 20-25 minutes in then said to myself...where is Shannel?
I think right now, I love Vanjie but imo she is struggling the most most (all around).
I thought there were multiple contenders for the win both episodes (E1: Vanjie, Angie, Jorgeous, Plastique; E2: Mik, Roxxxy, Plastique, Angie
You can tell Vanjie is just there for a good time, and the only way producers could keep her the entire season was making it non-elimination. She is good TV and that's alright 🙂
Disasterina and Erika Kaley made perfume and they are in popper looking bottles.
This season is definitely gonna have to change my mind about alot 😢. The girls are great, but I already feel like I could just skip to the finale.
