Been using this setup for over a year now, but instead of Le Monarque, I use wavesplitter. It gains high damage with picking up orbs of light and reloads the weapon on top of it. And you'll be generating a crap ton of them.
Yeah, personally, I feel like the wavesplitter is the best option for this type of a build. I think it gets like a 70% buff when super charged, and it's basically always on since orb generation is meta. Since the fix on running double specials, I still run double specials, but it sorta sucks that traces are in a rough spot, considering they are a glorified primary weapon essentially, and you would have to equip a primary weapon on the kinetic (or energy slot ). Luckily, one of the seasonal mods basically shits out special and heavy ammo with those orb kills, still sorta tough to upkeep consistently topped ammo for both specials and heavy.
@@Divin3t78I disagree with the ammo economy being a bad thing tbh. Previously trace rifles pretty much entirely replaced the need for primaries, now primaries actually have a benefit now over double special, which is ammo generation with finders. Much more potent of a benefit now that double special, the alternative is much less potent. Trace rifles are still essentially just a better primary for short encounters and fights where ammo isn't really a concern. It is obviously also very powerful right now when using cenotaph mask. Cenotaph mask is likely to receive a nerf tbh but traces still realistically serve it's own purpose. Which can not be said for some weapon choices and exotic choices atm.
@soraneptune4178 Yeah, i see your point. I didn't think about cenotaphs or the primaries being relevant, but I dislike using primaries still. The only time i ever used them was for GMs, but I do agree they should be relevant rather than obsolete if they are in the game.

Worth noting that if your invis falls off, you won't get volitile rounds. You need to break invis by shooting or using an ability to get volitile rounds.

My Hunter is rocking a Winterbite with Tritons Vice build. I’m so looking forward to glaives not being absolute trash.
With le monarque you can get the damage buff pretty easily because red bars get low enough from the poison ticks. with a bit more aggression you can keep this up pretty consistently. maybe the duration can be increased with time dialation mods but i haven't tested that. insane build altogether
You're wrong about Expulsion, when the volatile explosion itself gets a final blow on an adjacent enemy it counts as an ability kill which detonates the second enemy as well. People say it doesn't work because they expect 2 explosions on the same enemy which, is not what the fragment says at all. If you use it for a bit you will absolutely notice it, Expulsion explosions will show up as an orb condensing and then exploding after the enemy dies, it's a lot more boom than regular volatile chains and it absolutely makes a huge difference. Oh and also, Elemental basketballs from this season also count as ability kills so it feeds into that too, it's a nice extra on top of it.
been using this build for over a year now i can say its easily one of the best builds ive used on hunter the constant invis and health regen and monorques damage makes it so good

The loop is make orb, dodge, drain or dunk, shoot trace round for another orb, repeat. The orb suppresses when slammed and you can tank the stomp mechanics when crouched and draining while also healing. Also you’re almost always invisible when slamming the orb. I call it the “surprise mutha*****” technique.

It's harder, less consistent, but you gain the absolutely nutty lucky pants + warden's law combo, soo much damage and yellow bar clearing potential, especially when you have a shadow shot super and snare bomb to also debuff bosses and enemies for even more damage. Personally i like to also have void weapons reload speed mods too but a font of kinetick damage bonus also helps to challenge the best dps builds out there while having a lot of survivability and good add clear. This helps you in hard nightfalls, is good on raids, amazing for solo dungeons and lost sectors, super satisfying and fun overall, rocking this since witch queen

Echo of Expulsion - This triggers off Volatile explosions :) Could be worth a mention for Higher End content where the extra explosion can help clean up tanky adds! :)
The IB smg with destabilizing rounds. This way you can trigger invis without an ability. For exotic I run two tailed fox since it procs suppression and can trigger invis as well.
This is my load out already , I’ve recently added a sword that has repulsor and destabilizing, now I’m constantly invisible, overshield , volatile rounds
Now , I like to run a more aggressive version of this build with a Subsistence + Frenzy Funnelweb which allows for faster use of those Violatile Rounds. Your build seems to be better for Endgame content like GMs. But anywhere where there are ads constantly swarming you, I just find a void smg to be the better play.
Cute and all but if anyone is actually interested in gyrfalcon hunter, pretty much any legendary void weapon with repulsor brace can do this, will make you far more survivable, output same if not more damage, not have any hard to control fail cases where lemon poison procs the cooldown on stylish and free up your exotic weapon.
Maybe, but the bow does provide regen through the catalyst while the poison procs volatile. Since you can go invisible on dodge, the build is pretty forgiving if you mistrigger the executioner.
The one way I'd say Monarque was nerfed in PVE is that the reduced length of time on the poison has, in my experience, made it much less reliable at keeping Overloads in check. It used to be you could apply poison to stun, then swap to heavy for a couple of shots, then get back to Monarque and apply more poison before the health regen kicked back in. Now every time I poison and swap to just fire one rocket before getting back on the bow, the health seems to be regenerating already. So much so that I've moved to Thunderlord as my go-to Overload exotic. I love Monarque (and have since it was introduced in the game), so this makes me sad.
@@evilx8467 I think you may have misread my comment (or meant to respond to someone else). I didn't say it's a damage outputter. I talked about how the reduced length of time on the poison has made controlling Overloads more difficult (the poison ticks apply Overload, which disables their health regen even when they're in the refractory period and not stunnable). I gave an example of what was possible before the change and after the change, and explained how IMO it works as a nerf.
I recommend using the orbs. Hold them and press and hold L2 controller and you make a big dome that makes the enemies inside more vulnerable to teammates shots and you don’t get thrown when an enemy stomps and you don’t get hurt when shot by little enemies around you. Hold until countdown is at 1 and then do R2 to throw it down at enemies feet and some explode.
You're mixing up the orbs from Ruinous Effigy (which can only be slammed or do the dome) with Elemental Orbs made from any void weapon with the artifact unlock which can only be thrown and supress enemies.
I don’t understand for all these PvE builds completely ignore scavenger perks in place of Surges. I get changing it during boss damage through loadouts if equipment not locked… But if rather do a bit less damage per shot and have way ammo than enjoy some extra damage shots and run out of ammo constantly. Can someone explain it to me?
I’ve been rocking this since void 3.0 w/ wavesplitter, a fusion, and retrofit, but the recent double special nerf does make this more viable w/o changing too much especially with the vow exotic.
been using a very similar build for about 6 months now, but i was using witherhoard/funnelweb and my GOD does this build slap. currently using harsh language/quicksilver so not as constant on the invis/volatile but still so good. will have to try it with lemon now too
Oh boy. The comments section proves the video and the build both half-ass-made and miss the point entirely. No offence Cross, still love you. Okay fellow huntaz. - Use LeMon. Don't use wavesplitter graviton whatever unless you know you don't really need the benefit -> So, there is a small internal cooldown between volatile burst and when you can apply volatile again on the same target. Result? There is noticable chance of killing a target without volatile -> no next invis. LeMon avoids this 100%. You never go back to invis on 1st shot from invis, but you always 100% go back to invis on 2nd shot if it's lethal (either due to arrow or poison). - Not mentioned, but invis from dodge+fragment is 7 seconds while invis from stylish+fragment is 11 seconds (maybe 12 due to 0 counter actually, can't remember off head now). Plenty of time to reposition youself and choose next targets. The latter specifically is plently to res in a GM. Don't dodge, get a kill. Mates will thank you. - Have orbs regen dodge if you miss the loop often. Normally, void breaches are enough. - Also, LeMon is anti-overload intrinsically. - Put your Retrofit Escapade for total barriers shred. - Now, first slot is interesting. In current season and onward, two options here. First, a blinding GL. Blind a crowd while invis to emerge then headshot the crowd for massive unfliched uninterrupted damage and for next invis. Second, a chill clip goodie for unstops. Whoops, now you cover all the champions without using artifact. The truth is, this part of build was NASTIER pre- chill clip nerf. You could have a disorienting grenades-autoloading-chill clip Lingering Dread (from Duality) to do BOTH. Still extremely good but more clunky on unstops now (need to manually reload twice and hit 3 times directly to freeze as opposed to 1 reload and 2 hits earlier) - Also, FFS use double arrow super unless in raid for damage phases. It deletes any miniboss or champion after stun even in GMs without assist. Still leaves some time to escapade it down if one or two of six arrows missed. Super kills also proc invis. - Also, poison ticks give crazy amounts of super energy, more so on crowds. No need for intellect investment. - Also, do NOT collect orbs on dodge. Don't do that. Have orbs be on the ground and pick if hit hard when going invis. It re-procs devour and gives full health without kills. You're welcome, now you can solo all sorts of bullshit in the game. Among the LeMon substitues I found very good to be Ruinous Effigy (proc invis from shots, pick the orb, do heavy on crowd, big boom, new invis. The game takes a _convenient_ time lag to process your boom along with volatile on big crowds, allowing to skip the invis cooldown. Also suppresses and works on overloads) and Harsh Language w/destabilizing rounds (soloed latest dungeon using it for fun).
You can do the same with graviton lance or a void auto rifle with destabilised rounds and retrofit/shattered cipher with near unlimited machine gun ammo. It works better and does insane constant damage
No it doesn't you nimrod stop spouting shit you can't back up, le monarque does ALOT MORE dmg AND covers long distance AND has GREAT aoe plus GOOD poison dmg. ALSO literally has UNRELENTING FUCKING BUILT IN FOR FREE
Running Vortex 'nades with Echo of Harvest and Firepower will generate two orbs and one breach on every grenade kill. Suppression is nice but supers are better IMO. Run Innervation and bomber to always have a grenade ready.
Yeah suppression only makes sense when you have Overloads and/or are using Collective Obligation instead of Lemon...to have that Void Leech primed to deal with any champ.
Not sure how. There are better synergies than the bow. Graviton, Telesto, Wavesplitter, Veles-X with Leviathan's Breath are all examples. These synergies have been a thing since Gyrfalcon came out.
I understand that Gyrfalcons is one of the ultimate endgame pieces, but there are still a ton of people that wont get the Gyrfalcons due to things like time and skill gaps... I am one of them. it sucks that I was trying to farm the Gyrfalcons Hauberk, but entirely unable to receive the exotic, due to the drop rate for the difficulty that Im able to do Legend Lost Sectors successfully. the ONLY dungeon Ive ever completed was Shattered Throne due to lack of players in clan, and typically have had run solo for 5 out of the 6 years D2 has been around. the finer "joys" in D2 doesnt apply to everybody and it sucks that there are people like me who have given what time to the game i can, and it doesnt feel rewarding for the efforts I give. I dont get to play with others due to the time I have to adult in life and hate that I feel like I have abandoned my Hunter for survivability issues and have had better success with my New Light warlock. in short, i have given up trying to acquire the Hauberk and more than half of the other Hunter related exotics because of my situation and its very disheartening for my gameplay. thank you for the build suggestions, but dont feel this happening, and this is in one of 50 Gyrfalcons vids Ive seen posted
The biggest downside to gyrfalcon is if you have an over shield or something, like repulser brace, it takes away being able to have a deployable over shield
Id really like a futuristic type ornament for le monarque, something similar to deepstone crypt aesthetic. But somwthing more like project ashe from league of legends but green or purple for poison instead of blue

Maybe, but the bow does provide regen through the catalyst while the poison procs volatile.
Since you can go invisible on dodge, the build is pretty forgiving if you mistrigger the executioner.
Lemon + Gyrfalcon is old news good, even without the current season mods. Been using it since I got both last year
My man said "haw-brick"💀
It hasn’t been nerfed lol your just using the build wrong, it’s not supposed to be a damage outputter
@@radtacular2218 ma bad😭🤦🏽♂️
Bungles fav creator
Thanks for another awesome video sensei cross! Looking forward to trying it out when i get off work
I recommend using the orbs.
Huge ups to the editing on those cards, so clean
Appreciate it!
I love the Aztecross trading card graphic, I’d love a set of these
They're probably one of my favorite things I've ever come up with. This is only the beginning of Aztecards.
I’ve been rocking this since void 3.0 w/ wavesplitter, a fusion, and retrofit, but the recent double special nerf does make this more viable w/o changing too much especially with the vow exotic.
been using a very similar build for about 6 months now, but i was using witherhoard/funnelweb and my GOD does this build slap. currently using harsh language/quicksilver so not as constant on the invis/volatile but still so good. will have to try it with lemon now too
Good build but a #positiveoutlook with #destabilizingrounds would be a better choice to save your #exotic slot for better options.
Ive been using this for a year now, if you want spice, use runous effergy
Cause orb dunking with volatile is fun as hell
The edits look really good!
I got a pretty broken Point-Contact Cannon Bracers build going right now that quite literally slaps around strand titans
I use this build with harsh language, and destabilising rounds and the tractor cannon. For some reason it smacks
Yo I'm loving the new items in this video's. So clean and the transition is nice
Thanks!
oh i like the little card animations during the build break down
shouts out to editor
Still extremely good but more clunky on unstops now (need to manually reload twice and hit 3 times directly to freeze as opposed to 1 reload and 2 hits earlier)
- Also, FFS use double arrow super unless in raid for damage phases.
This was all very interesting. Thank you.
You forgot Echo of Undermining with it's 20 discipline hit so your grenades can weaken. Otherwise your vortex nades aren't doing anything special.
I loved the le monarch glad it got a buff
I can smell Bungo nerfing this from a mile away, like my baby boy Young Ahamkaras Spine😭
Not sure how.
There are better synergies than the bow.
Graviton, Telesto, Wavesplitter, Veles-X with Leviathan's Breath are all examples. These synergies have been a thing since Gyrfalcon came out.
Void sword, so when you come out of that finisher you've got 5 seconds of swinging like a mad man
I understand that Gyrfalcons is one of the ultimate endgame pieces, but there are still a ton of people that wont get the Gyrfalcons due to things like time and skill gaps...
Yeah, saying this is a beginner friendly build while requiring an endgame exotic is disingenuous
Keep an eye out for the bunker LLS on Europa. Its pretty easy once you get it a strategy going.
Son thats the build who constantly supress allies !? Thanks i hâte it 👍
Lorentz driver is also another good option for this build due to the after explosion
I think LeMon is king for this build. But I’ve been experimenting with Travelers Chosen and it’s pretty good too.
Pretty sure volatile counts as ability kills, and thus echo of expulsion works and produces worthwhile extra BOOMS. No?
Does it?
Now that they killed Young Ahamkara Spine, maybe I'll try void builds again.
Titan go punch , then titan go barricade, then titan go punch again . There’s your titan build . Works on all classes too
This with graviton lance cooks hard man
The edits are fire (love the deck of cards theme)
Give the editor a raise immediately
try this with age old bond repulsor brace and destabilizing rounds
How long have the exotics had that little card
They look sick
Cross editors popping off as usual
First video with them! The plan is for them to be in all build videos to change them up a bit.
im definitely gonna be trying this out. any recommendation for GM though? is that gonna be build dependent on strike?
I was thinking about trying something like this with Graviton Lance. I don't remember if volatile affects the seekers, but if it does, it will be insane.
Variety is a word Warlocks haven't known since before Forsaken 😭😭
Was only 1821 and used this on Master Lost Sector today for Arms. Not gonna lie, barrier champs in there sucked cause they were shielding everything.
