    The Chiefs got arrogant. They really haven't been challenged in over a year. Their team is undisciplined - one of the most penalized in the league. Their game plan was to wing it with Mahomes, Kelce, and Hill. And they made no in game adjustments. Eric Bienimy was dreaming about his head coaching job, rather than doing his homework. Andy Reid looks like a lush.

      Dude - THANK YOU. I feel like no one is just saying it how it is. The Chiefs watch the Bucs dominate two BETTER offensive lines the last two playoff games (Saints, Packers) and the Chiefs made ZERO adjustments before or during the game. The Chiefs coaching staff should be embarrassed. Mahomes should take more blame too. It's his offense. He has to have say. He could've walked over to Reid and said "keep a TE or RB in to block we're getting killed" but no. no adjustments from anyone. shit was whack. they blocked with only 5 linemen 92% of the time. that is WILD when you're getting killed like that. It's not the game was out of reach either. They let it get that way with no adjustments.

    • @leeboy7139

      The Chiefs were so unprepared, they got dominated everyway possible. Tampa at one point scored touchdowns on 4 out of 5 possessions and the one they didn't, they had 2nd and goal from the 1. Brady also went 16/20 and had 3 TD passes in the first half. Never before has a quarterback passed for 80% with 3 TD passes in the first half of any Super Bowl. The defense set the record for QB pressures in a Superbowl and held Mahomes without a TD. The Chiefs punter had 2 punts less then 30 yards and the Chiefs lined up offsides on a field goal attempt. And the Chiefs' coaches failed to make any adjustments to protect Machines or take what the defense gave them to get the Bucs out of their deep zone defense.

    At the start of this season if you go "hey, quarterback" to any QB in the league, pick your team, put yourself on the team that gives you the best chance to win a Superbowl. Is Mahomes switching teams? Is anyone picking the Bucs? Are the Bucs even in anyone's top five? Let's make sure we appreciate what Brady did here. He took a team with potential and some strong pieces--just like half the teams in the league--and he molded them into a Superbowl winning team, the ONLY dominant team in the league by the end of the season. He played one of the best first halves in a Superbowl ever, and just coasted the rest of the way, because he could. Brady was the difference maker and contributed far more to the Bucs this season than maybe any QB ever has to any team in any season ever. Mahomes isn't even remotely in Brady's class yet. He said it himself about the mistakes he made setting protections, not being on the same page as receivers. Brady's preparation and leadership off and on the field is what won this Superbowl and thoroughly outclassed Mahomes.

      Breeland got tripped by Evans feet and on his way down Evans feet hit Breeland’s body and he fell, Breeland didnt reach out and grab Evans foot and pull him down, that is usally not called a penalty because it’s considered incidental contact according to the rule book. Also the ball was 10 yards overthrown Evans wouldn’t of caught it anyways which i think the refs should take into account when calling PI. Chiefs didn’t lose because of those penalties but there were definitely three calls at the end of the half that were ticky tack questionable calls that all went Tampa’s way.

    You'd think they would have tried some short, quick passes like slants or screens. A good way to attack a very aggressive and quick offense.

      I know, they had developed that part of their game throughout the whole year so i dont get why they didn’t do more of that. Could be because Tampa was able to get to Pat with 4 guys and drop everyone else into coverage and they have the best linebacker duo in the sport so they couldn’t really do much over the middle.

    BuT ThE ReFS! The refs had a few calls that were head scratchers. But the chiefs are undisciplined, their OLine holds all the time, and they have coordinators who drink and drive. The refs weren’t the reason Mahomes couldn’t put up a single TD.

Imagine if you had a league where you played basketball for 80 games, in order to qualify for a championship series of baseball. That would make no sense right? The rules in the playoffs need to be the same as the rules in the season, anything else is silly.

    Great point by Simms to notice that early on, it was NOT the Buc pressure on Mahomes that was the biggest factor- it was the play calls by the Chiefs trying too much for longer plays .

    • @orangecounty7144
      @orangecounty7144 3 года назад

      Really, So the chiefs stopped themselves? Gotcha.
      I wonder why Mahomes couldn't execute those longer plays that the chiefs coaches kept calling?
      Mahomes executed those plays pretty good in week 12 and against the bills in the playoffs with the same o-line. What changed?
      Could it be, just maybe a little bit something to do with Tampa's defense putting some pressure here and there?

    • @irar4665
      @irar4665 3 года назад

      @@orangecounty7144
      Yes, for sure it was the Buc pass rush and defense that was not allowing the Chief longer game, and of course they get credit for that, BUT the point being made here is that the Chiefs didnt originally go to a shorter game, or ADJUST and go to a shorter game- and they have a very strong short game also , with Kelce ,the other receivers, and also Tyreek can be very effectively used for quick 8- 12 yard patterns, and the Chiefs only used the jet sweep once, for some reason. That's the part where the Chiefs stopped themselves, in not calling the plays that would have been more effective - especially with the knowledge that their 2 starting tackles were out ,which further hurt their ability for longer plays.
      And I'm reminded that in the 1st game Bucs played Chiefs, the Chiefs were hitting big plays in the 1st half til Bowles played deeper, with less blitzing in the 2nd half, and that slowed the Chiefs down.All the more reason that in the Super Bowl, the Chiefs should have expecting more of that , and go to the shorter game.
