I was a huge Turtles game fan on NES and SNES and I had no idea any of these existed. Radical Rescue looks freakin' awesome! Can't wait to try it. Thanks for the breakdown!
Great video ! Radical Rescue was one of my first games ever as a young kid on the gameboy. This brought back memories of me playing this game relentlessly and getting so frustrated at the challenges of it (being so young haha) After seeing this - wow that really was a great game - still is ! Thanks for the great content like this !!
Thanks man! And Radical Rescue is such a great game for the system. You were wise to pick it up at such a young age! I got Back From the Sewers first as a kid and slowly branched out from there. But Radical Rescue is the far superior game lol. Thanks for watching!
Same exact story for me! It was soooooo hard (I think I was 8..). But the Turtles and the villans looked sooo cool. Especially compared to my friends' Turtles II on the Game Boy (which I have fond memories of as well). Great video!
You forgot to mention that the first GB Game (Fall of the Foot Clan) had minigames if you jump or touch certain parts of the scenario. That makes more interesting, because many people didn't even know they exist back in the day!
Great video. I completely agree with everything you said. However, I would have mentioned the mini-games in the first Turtle game. That higher/lower game was a hidden gem.
The turtles in Back from the Sewers have such strange, overly upright posture lol hope this video really gets traction with the new collection coming out! Very cool looking channel Also, you got me to thinking about early Metroidvanias, and I realized Legacy of the Wizard for NES could probably qualify as one. Such a great hidden gem! Highly recommended to anyone who hasn't played it. Just be sure to use a guide as it's NES-style cryptic at times
lol the posture really is something in that game. And I'm excited for the collection! I've never played Legacy of the Wizard on the NES but I plan to check it out now! Thanks for watching!
As a kid I beat the nes arcade port I was 10 when I got it but about a year later I master the game and could beat it in one go without losing a life it’s all about patterns and the same goes for the GB titles
TMNT Fall of The Foot Clan is by far head & shoulders a lot better than Turtles 2 & 3 on the Game boy. It's Simplistic, there's enough challenge in it when you 1st play this as a kid. Turtles 2 way too hard & 3 Also very hard & not fun. I beat all 3 of these on the Cowabunga collection. Turtles 3 there is no way anyone is beating that when they have to face 5 straight bosses at the end to beat the game. Then when you face Shredder It's basically 2 life bars. Who ever thought that was a great idea for a game should have been fired.
I do love Fall of the Footclan and if I’m just playing for the fun of it, it’s the one I go to the most, just simple easy fun. I think Radical Rescue is the best made game for longer investment, but you’re not wrong about the ending lol. It’s crazy what they expect you to be able to do lol.
Ever think maybe they make these games too hard for us to beat as kids but figure out and smash as adults to make sure play will play them for that long? Just food for thought the games we could never beat but played the hell out of be honest they hold a special place in our hearts
i like Fall of the Foot Clan a lot. it's a good one to relax with. Back from the Sewers is cool, but just feels like more of the same. someday i plan to dig into Radical Rescue.
Fall of the Foot Clan really is such a fun game to just chill to, load it up and have some laid back fun. And you def need to give Radical Rescue a try!! It's such a great game!
I played the first two TMNT Game Boy games when I was a kid, but I guess I must have moved on to other things by the time the third one came around. That's a shame, because it looks really good. My first time experiencing it will be in the upcoming Cowabunga Collection, and my G Classic SN30 Pro controller will give me something resembling a Game Boy feel. Out of the two TMNT Game Boy games I have played, my preference is Fall of the Foot Clan. It's just an all-around solid entry. Back From the Sewers has impressive visuals, but the way it plays is stiff and kind of weird compared to Fall of the Foot Clan. Still a fun game, though. I enjoyed it as a kid.
Oh man, you're in for a treat when you play the third one! And I'm with you 100%, the second one was fun, but the first just plays better and is more fun. Can't wait to play all of these again on the Cowabunga Collection too!
No worries man the third one is a stinker. Very difficult and frustrating, and you'll get lost and confused for most of the game. At least I did, and still do.
Turtles 2 - Back From The Servers is my favorite. Radical Rescue is the only game that I don't like. I was a kid when I first played Turtles 2 and it was really easy.
I found the Third installment, Radical Rescue, to be insanely frustrating. Granted, I have a Japanese version so all the text is unreadable, but I would get so lost in that annoying Metroid style cave/maze. Even looking at the map was no help. I never liked the Metroid games, so right off the bat I was a bit irked with the style and appearance of the game. I just couldn't play it ever without getting really frustrated. For the record I LOVE Fall Of The Foot Clan. Super easy but graphics and physics of everything just felt right. Thanks for the entertaining video!
I understand you getting pretty frustrated if you don't really care for Metroid games because this is VERY similar to that playing style. But I do think Fall of the Foot Clan is an excellent game too! And if I'm looking for just a fun quick playthrough, it's a great one to pull out. Thanks for the watch and comment!
I was a huge Turtles game fan on NES and SNES and I had no idea any of these existed. Radical Rescue looks freakin' awesome! Can't wait to try it. Thanks for the breakdown!
Oh yeah Radical Rescue is awesome!! Def give that one a try first but truth be told all are worth a playthrough if you have the time!
Watching this makes me even more excited for the Cowabunga Collection
Great video !

Excellent. You post some TMNT stuff and I'm gonna be showing up to watch it!
Thanks! And got several TMNT videos but still have more to come as well lol
Great video - seeing this classic Gameboy brought back so many good memories from road trips as a kid. Enjoying the TMNT content.
Thank you! And Game Boy era was perfect road trip traveling back in the day! Thanks for watching!

Great video. Now I am feeling nostalgic for these great games.
Thanks! And always good to back and play the classics!
Great video! Looking forward to playing all of these on The Cowabunga Collection 👍
I love TMNT and I love the Game Boy. Amazing video! You chose two of my favourite things.
TMNT on the Game Boy was such an amazing fit! Thanks for watching!
Very well made and entertaining video! Can’t wait for the collection to arrive on current consoles!
Thank you!! And can't wait either!
Hours and hours spent on Radical Rescue ... difficult but terribly fun game! Amazing memories!
You forgot to mention that the first GB Game (Fall of the Foot Clan) had minigames if you jump or touch certain parts of the scenario. That makes more interesting, because many people didn't even know they exist back in the day!
I should have mentioned that! Thanks for bringing that up!
I forgot about those. I remember the shuriken one and number guessing
Great video. I completely agree with everything you said. However, I would have mentioned the mini-games in the first Turtle game. That higher/lower game was a hidden gem.
Thank you! And I should have included that as well! A slight in my part for sure lol
Thank goodness for the cowabunga collection I loved all 3 games of the gameboy trilogy along with all the other ones on the collection
The cowabunga collection really is a wonderful collection of games! Glad they included the Gameboy titles!
The turtles in Back from the Sewers have such strange, overly upright posture lol hope this video really gets traction with the new collection coming out! Very cool looking channel

This reminds me more of GG Shinobi than a metroidvania.
Nice video!
Thank you! Know I love my old TMNT games!

@@Ogles I do like exploration games. They need to stop with the insane spiked difficulty in them.
Ever think maybe they make these games too hard for us to beat as kids but figure out and smash as adults to make sure play will play them for that long? Just food for thought the games we could never beat but played the hell out of be honest they hold a special place in our hearts
Fall of the Foot Clan is my favorite of them all. Just something about this game makes it enjoyable
Fall of the Foot Clan really is a classic and is so much fun to just have a quick run through
Love it
i like Fall of the Foot Clan a lot. it's a good one to relax with. Back from the Sewers is cool, but just feels like more of the same. someday i plan to dig into Radical Rescue.

Great vid!! Will keep a look out for radical rescue; quite hard to locate in the U.K. cheers👍
Thanks for watching! And Radical Rescue has gotten harder and harder to find in general, but best of luck on your search!
@@Ogles thanks buddy!
nice video! will you make one for the gba and ds games? i think theres only 4 between the 2 consoles
My Pick Is Fall Of The Foot Clan.
It def was a great game!
Can i play any of the ninja turtle Games on my game boy color
Yes! All GB games can be played on the GBC!

@@robberezowski68 Yeah, I tried it in The Cowabunga Collection and dropped it pretty quickly. Just wasn't feeling it.
I only played the first TURTLE Game, what a great Game it is, I need to play the other two one Day, they look great.
;-)
Turtles 2 - Back From The Servers is my favorite. Radical Rescue is the only game that I don't like. I was a kid when I first played Turtles 2 and it was really easy.
Everybody has different favorites it seems!
I loved all 3 games, but the 3rd one is the best!
They do all have their pluses! But yeah the 3rd is the best one, lol.
Negative. It is boring in comparison
Found my old copy of Radical Rescue. Not sure whether to keep or sell it!
Keep it for sure! It’s the rarest of the 3 games for sure.

I always found the spritework of the 2nd one both impressive but at the same time kinda janky designwise.
I can agree with that 100%
The GameBoy was a awesome handheld with great games. Most switch games are DUMB-DOWN ports to handheld.
🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕
I like your shirt.
Lol, thank you!
3 is a bore
I loved three!
Holaaaa
back from the sewers looks hilarious . The turtle model is the worst i've ever seen it's a joke.
