Already posted this as a reply, but maybe someone else needs this same information. I have a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado. The process was slightly different as I navigated through the steps with how your options are displayed; but with the help of this video I was able to silence the overly eager and aggravating horn. Even did a test to see if I could purposely lock my remote inside (to simulate a mistake on my part). Nope, with the remote left inside I could not use the door lock itself from the outside to lock the pickup. Whew. I did choose to keep some light "alerts" active, but you have choices with these as well.
Was not going to buy another Chevy unless this was a setting that I could change thanks for the video unfortunately in my 2014 volt does not have the option
Thanks Kevin. When I Doordash or uber, some of the instructions are please don't ring doorbell or knock. But my freakin car sure will freaking honk twice when I get out smh😂

This helps but I can turn off mine. I cant turnoff everyone elses. The Manufacturers have to stop making LOUD honk locking available but they dont seem to care that they torture people.
Does anyone know if you can turn off the sleep mode for the key fab? I always have to lift the key up in the air to start the car and it drive me nuts. May as well have a key in the ignition.
Weird. I have a 21 Traverse and a 21 2500 HD and neither have that last option. “Remote left in vehicle” but nothing for “remote leaving vehicle” which is way more annoying.
@@hdkevin4387 so turns out if I turn off “remote left in vehicle” horn blast then it also stops beeping the horn when i leave the running vehicle with the key on me. Just isn’t two separate settings on some cars i guess

@@hdkevin4387 before I miraculously found your video, I took my GMC Terrain to a GMC dealer. The service guy told me there was no way to disable the horn notification. Last night, I watched your video and followed the instructions. Results: No more annoying horn notifications 😄. You need to create a training program for GMC service departments 👌.
