I like how Tarnished Samson is basically recreating the ending of his story. After Delilah cut his hair, his eyes were gouged out by the Phillistines, hence why he has no eyes. The rock drop attack is a reference to his death where he drops an entire temple on himself and the nobles, while his 'ult' is his last prayer to god where he temporarily regained his strength back, the super saiyan-esk look being a visual representation that he 'grew his hair back' which was the source of his strength. Another thing to note is how he activates his berserk form by holding one of the stones. It's almost similar to the bible where he regains his strength as he was strapped to two pillars for a display amongst the Philistines, and as his strength grew back, he killed himself by toppling the support foundations of the temple.
I actually came to say the same thing Also yeah, some stories of the bible are actually pretty rad (like David that supposedly was also so strong that coul kill a bear with his bare hands, or even Samson that killed a fucking lion ripping him a part mortal kombat style)
I think Deep Pockets is probably the best Repentance glow-up. It was a useless, redundant item that was deliberately awful to keep people from feeling forced to play pre-buff Keeper, and now it enables all sorts of fun and wacky interactions relating to money. Athame was decent before the nerf because it was black heart generation, but Repentance cracked down on free health in general so it had to be reworked. It's definitely one of the best reworks, I just don't think it's unreservedly THE best, because it was pretty decent already.

i think it would be really cool if the spirit sword synergy made it so that the boulders that fall from the sky get replaced by spirit swords that u can throw at enemies
They could add an easter egge with tarnished samson. IF he picks up soy,theres a chance(a really low one) that he just gets a stand from jojos. IT would be a cool cosmetic and easter egg
This actually looks very op , samson literally breaking the basement and throws rocks , nice. It would be nice if there was an item that actually makes these ceiling parts having somewhat of an effect since I doubt effect items won't work . Explosive rocks, golden rocks , poison rocks would be nice too
I think the scythe expllosions were caused by attacking into a rock. Because rocks seem to be kinda like persistent tears, they keep charging lacryphagy shots, without being consumed, when you fire them from really short distance, so you get a lot of tear explosions.
I feel as if no one talked about the pain-o-matic and the new essence of Samson we all should have seen at the first floor (the pain-o-matic seems cool)
I find it kinda cool that Matt and Lavancas' playthroughs of tainted sampson showcase both sides floor wise. Matt did the regular path whilst Lavencas did Alt Floors (even if it was just downpour/dross but im counting it) Matt went down to sheol whilst Lavencas went to Cathedral. They both also found the 2 synergies (Brimstone and Spirit Sword) which are being changed when Wave 5 is released. They both fought hush AND got the exact same chance to fight delerium after mattman defeated the lamb and Lavancas defeated ???. Ik it is a massive coincedence but I just thought that was kinda badass lol
So, if Lavencas still have no idea how she makes a ton of scythes: At some point Samson [or his companion] shoots a tear that becomes a scythe, meanwhile, twisted pair + samson continues punching and that counts as tears, then lachryphagy comes in play and makes those tears explode, WHILE THE EXPLODING TEARS KEEP BEING PUNCHED and that makes a budget monstro's lung cycle of scythes

Honestly he is quite underwhelming considering the gap between him and the last character. Which was tarnished keeper. They made keeper so good that I had put my expectations so high. I guess it is partially due to the fact that tainted Maggie has always been the easier version of tainted Samson. And how this did the same mistake it did, with how you sacrifice health for damage. Only Maggie has healing. And also they also promised that they were going to deliver the character themes and take it to the extreme. Where this is just an upgraded tainted Samson rather than having a unique twist that balances them out. Like the money for health, getting broken hearts for damage, or sacking an item instead of taking it, they should give tarnished samson more of a bigger downside to play around with that can seperate him from his tainted counterpart. An idea I have is to use that meter instead to have him use his "ult." Samson starts with a bit less damage. Attacking enemies or getting attack will give meter. Throwing rocks, groundpounding them, or dashing into them grants more meter and deals more damage if they were last hit by your punches. So you need to string up a combo to fill up your gauge faster. The more combo you have, the more damage you deal, up to 2x. Once your combo is full, you can then use your ult. It no longer takes health to activate, and will give Samson spitting blood. Making his fist have a chance to fire bloody tears in random directions, increasing the chance the more low health he is, and making him fire aswell when he is hit. He also gains enhanced abilities. His dash will now leave a red creep on the ground, his throw now is faster and dealt more damage, and his ground pound makes more blocks fall down. The ult will disappear after 10 seconds. After which the gauge must be filled up again. You cannot die while in this state, and getting hit while on half heart health will give Samson a broken heart instead. Each broken heart will also make your attacks fill up more gauge and increase any further rampage duation by 2 seconds each. Allowing you to sacrifice some health for faster combos and longer lasting rampages. The epiphany devs should listen more to their community ideas. Especially on steam, since they completely disregarded that despite me seeing some actually good ideas there.
imma be honest this sounds cool and all but the epihany team was going for a 'canon' way on Samson he didn't have fires or idk spitting or sum shit i didn't really read this but what i mean dropping some rocks just like in the bible no eyes like in the bible dash like in the bible smash like in the bible. I like it tho also it's still a cool character. also wdym by he is not that special bro 🗿
