Catfished into California

The plaintiff dated the defendant and even moved from Florida to California to be with him. Soon after, the defendant allegedly went back to Florida and never returned. The plaintiff claims her ex-boyfriend stole money from her bank account, so she is suing him for emotional distress and stolen money. The defendant claims the plaintiff is obsessed with him and changed her last name to his even though they’re not married.
