Ok, i had to go and find out. Atm, the RTA WRs would finish the campaign in 1 hour 47.9 minutes, and the TAS WRs would do it in 1 hour 15.4 minutes. If we do the full E05 TAS and remove another 6 minutes from this map, then there's only 9 minutes left to remove to get the entire campaign under one hour. It's pretty likely I think, but I don't think we'll ever get it down to faster than the E05 WR alone.

I gotta say, you all are incredibly smart for trying to get the strats perfected between laps 1 and 2, because then you don't have to redo an entire TAS if you find a better strat halfway through.

Going from 2 laps to 3 saves 100 seconds, going from 30 laps to 60 only saves 10 seconds, a tenth of the return for 30 times more effort. It'll be interesting to see how far it gets taken once we go for more laps, because no one in their right mind would do all 60.
(for now)just an idea : gather as much speed as you can at the start of b12 and then go right. bounce up from the water edge to the road. i got a small bounce but i didn't get up there. you'll just have to figure out where to go from there

wouldnt you only need to do 3 laps with no respawn, and then copy paste the inputs of the 3rd lap to the remaining 57 laps? so at the start of the 3rd lap, adjust the speed and position so it matches the position of the start of the 2nd lap, and when the speed and positions from boths laps match, copy paste the rest of the inputs. now the input of the 3rd lap can be copy pasted to all the remaining laps.
@@dave220 why would that be an issue for a TAS tho? why would the position or velocity change after the 3rd lap, if you copy pasted the inputs from the 3rd to the 4th and all the remaining? you really would only need to do at most 4 laps, and then copy paste all inputs to the remaining.
@@Needformadness2 Because you cross the multilap line in a different position at the end of lap 3 than you started the lap 3 with, so in lap 4, the result will be different. Getting the exact velocity, position and rotation is already nearly impossible with all 4 wheels on the ground, due to how precise it has to be.

The game is over a decade old by now, and there have been nine newer versions since. Any updates are extremely unlikely. And why should it get banned from WRs? Really curious about your reasoning there
