    • @AndreaAschi
      @AndreaAschi  Год назад +1

      Frictionless anti are not the best choice for a classic defense game. They can be used but in emergency situations when the opponent is good at getting you away from the table.
      If you want to experiment then based on my experience I would recommend an anti with a soft sponge. 😉

    4 more questions would help me alot! im planning to switch to metador carbon and abs 2 pro. Have you tried tenergy 05 on your forehand? I use this one and was wondering if its any good in this blade (coming of timo boll alc) do you also think that the timo boll blade is quicker? Is the abs 2 pro easy to use? Coming of a quick short pip

    • @AndreaAschi
      @AndreaAschi  Год назад +1

      Tenergy 05 is one of the best rubbers ever, and I'm sure it will do well on the new blade as well.
      Matador Carbon is slightly less fast than Boll ALC.
      A-B-S 2 PRO is not the easiest anti to use, especially on a fast blade. With a little practice, however, you can figure out how to control it.
      I also have videos on my channel where I try the same setup (Matador Carbon + A-B-S 2 PRO).

    Which anti would you reccomend for the FH?
    Whats the difference between thiner and thicker sponge on anti? Example, 0.6/1 mm or 1.5 mm or higher.

    • @e4syybeatbox637
      @e4syybeatbox637 Год назад +1

      Thinner version is faster, and has less dampening effect, so its harder to control at the beginning, but has more discruptive effects and spinreversal, and trajectory is different, thicker is slower, and much easier to get your blocks shorter, but there's less spinreversal and discruptive, for the beginning i recommend go for the thickest version, or something between thickest and thinner

    • @AndreaAschi
      @AndreaAschi  Год назад +4

      My friend below answered you perfectly what the differences are.
      If you are going to use it on the Fh you need to opt for an antitop that has some grip (not like mine). The first ones that come to mind are Dr.Neubauer Django, Toni Hold, Butterfly Super Anti, Yasaka Anti Power. I, too, always recommend starting with higher thicknesses.
      I invite you to watch this interesting match where my opponent plays very well on the forehand a 1.5mm Toni Hold on a defensive blade:

      "Grippy" anti like the one you have should be used actively, with wrist and forearm acceleration when you execute the shot. They turn out to be annoying when used aggressively, changing the rhythm of the rally. Keep in mind that the ball will always come back easy to the opponent since it never has spin. The skill lies in the ball placement!

    • @AndreaAschi
      @AndreaAschi  Год назад +3

      Hi Edward!
      I noticed a very slight difference in terms of speed and control (like 2-3% faster if the sponge is 0.2mm thinner).
      In terms of spinreversal I didn't notice any difference. What matters is the blade and the quality of the opponent shots.

  • @LorenzoGodio
    @LorenzoGodio Год назад +1

    How many goals!! ;-)
    In my opinion everyone in the video used a wrong approach to the ball after the heavy topspin (which I would avoid in the first place), some of them because are too far behind some because they just don't know what to do after it.
    In order to have control over that type of ball, I take it as close as possibile to the rebound so I can work it a bit from underneath, otherwise it goes straight into the net scoring a goal worthy of Mark Lenders. Am I wrong? I'd like to try but first I have to get to your level to meet in a tournament. ^_^
    Quanti goleador!! ;-)
    Secondo me praticamente tutti quelli nel video sbagliano l'approccio alla pallina di ritorno dopo il top carico (che si potrebbe anche evitare di fare!!), chi perchè era troppo indietro chi perchè proprio non sa come affrontare quella pallina.
    Io per avere controllo sul palleggio di quel tipo di pallina la prendo di contrabbalzo in modo da poterla lavorare un po' da sotto altrimenti parte diretta in rete segnando un goal degno di Mark Lenders. Mi sbaglio? Mi piacerebbe provare ma prima devo arrivare al tuo livello per trovarti in un torneo ed è più difficile che rimandare di la dalla rete una di quelle palline. ^_^

      The choice depends on your playing preferences.

      I tried the latest version, A-B-S 2 PRO and A-B-S 3.
      The main difference between the two is the speed. They have sponges with similar hardness so the feeling is not so different.
      A-B-S 2 PRO being faster is more unpredictable, better spin reversal.
      A-B-S 3 has great control and is more linear.

    Anti breaks the game. It's not fair and that's exactly why it's used by the very players who aren't good enough with normal rubbers...... or due to the anti rubber usually much better than equivalent players with pimples inside rubber. SORRY ITS MY PRIVATE OPINION.

      I don’t mean to burst your bubble, but I use the Seemiller grip and I did not twiddle to use my anti much. People have claimed the same thing to me and I completely destroy them with only using inverted. Most of these players I would defeat 3-0 with only inverted. My anti spin is only supplementary to a game that is already good. You could hand me a hard bat, inverted, anti, short pips, medium pips, or long pips and the result won’t change the fact that I am just a better player. What you fail to recognize is that players that play at a higher level would find a way to reach a high level, regardless if they had to completely change their grip, style, or rubber setup. You are quite simply hating on what it takes to reach that high level. Otherwise, you wouldn’t feel a reason to hate in the first place and you’d worry more about getting better. To summarize, what makes the difference is always the players work ethic and has very little to do with the equipment being used. In fact, I’ve seen videos of Andrea training with inverted on his backhand occasionally and he has a very high level backhand, which you can tell he put a lot of effort into developing. You need to watch videos of him to see that when he twiddles to his backhand using inverted, it is very clean and polished

      How many of the top-20 or even top-100 players are using anti spin rubbers? If I am beaten by an anti spin player, I simply told myself that I am not good enough and won't blame other people 😂.

      @@pascalbleval7215 I don't need any arguments for that. Antipads are just gross. Enough professional players have decades of experience and still throw up. I hate antipads and the video shows I'm not alone.

      @@AndreaAschi I find it also very hard to play against long pips or antis, and also respect when someone doesn't like those rubbers. I just expect some more arguments from others when they say they don't like it. And just saying "it's gross" is not really saying anything, in my opinion. Difficult to play against, yes. Gross? Why? How ?

    sorry, i am not on the same opinion. if u got a body with deificites, pain in your joints or something like that,... play material for having a stressless movement in your hits... - but if u are sane and got no sore after a match... wth should i use a wheelchair on my backhand?
    please do not get me wrong... i like the way you play and celebrate tt and also pips and anti have its rights to exist... but if ur oponent is familiar with anti-players... u r on a lost place.
    nevertheless I wish you all the best and much success for the new year!!!

      Hi Jo! Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
      I am of the opinion that these rubbers have potential even for those who are young and are able to use backhand well. The anti makes the game more strategic and that is what fascinates me about having one side of the racquet different from the other.
      Wishing you a successful year as well!! 😊
