Turkey could only gain superiority there because of three main reasons. 1. We were excluded from the F-35 development by the US. Our engineers then developed the TFX. The US made two mistakes here:
1. denied the Turks the request to purchase Patriotssystem.
2. excluded the Turks from the F-35 development.
Turkey drew two consequences from this:
1. acquired the S400 from Russia
2. develop its own fighter aircraft.
It should be noted here that whilst being excluded from the f35 program, Turkey still had some of the f35's tech and the composite production facility for parts of the f35s fuselage which Turkey decided to reconfigur for use in producing the fuselage for the TAI TFX.

@@hellothere1656Thats for Sure! Turkey will resetup and align its production lines to the new TFX Fighter. The F-35 operators will have to look for another production locations and for new partners. Good luck with that. The Europeans are also not interested in working with the US as they now want to invest in their own military industry.

Turkey is already successful in drones & proven successful in the Armenia-Azerbaijan war. If Turkey is able to come up with its indigenous 5G fighter by 2025, that will tip the regional power balance & the first Muslim country to have such capability.

There is a HUGE difference between making a drone and developing a 5th Gen stealthy fighter jet. Its the equivalent of comparing a go-kart with a Formula 1 race car. Not to mention that Turkish drones use crucial foreign parts, components and technology, like TB2 's bomb rack system (made with UK know-how) and optic sensors (made in Canada and now banned from export by the Canadian Government). Also, I don't understand why developing a 5th Gen fighter is so necessary. Development is going to take many years to complete because of various technical challenges due to inexperience and lack of know-how and as a result will cost many billions more than the huge cost already budgeted. This is really pointless and makes no sense in the real world.

no 6th generation fighter aircraft are currently in development anywhere in the world, all the fuss we hear in the mainstream media are merely for propaganda purposes. infact, even the parameters for 6th generation fighter aircraft are not defined yet. for instance we rank a fighter jet as 5th gen if it has data fusion system, internal weapons bey and stealth feature. but we dont have any parameters to rank a fighter aircraft as 6th gen.

FCAS prototype shall have its first flight in 2027. All surrounding UAVs and the superior information network "Skynet" as well as the FCAS Jet shall be ready in 2040.

Title is misleading. TFX is expected to come out of hangar in 2023. First flight is planned on 2025. First deliveries 2028-2029.

There are news that Turkish Stealth will be superior to F-35 but I don't believe.
What is you analysis?
In terms of Stealth feature? i dont think so. Becz the US firms has 30 years of experience in developing stealth technologies. even Chinese and Russian 5th Gen fighters cannot outmatch the F-35 in terms of Stealth.
But in overall Performance the TFX may fare better, becz F-35 have many performance deficiencies.
Turkey build parts for F35, build F16, build parts for many airplanes and have tehnology for stelth paint because they produce it. Turkey have the knowlage for a 5th generation stelth jet, but will take few years to build it.
Lockheed Martin is the world's largest defense contractor. They employ 110,000 people and had a revenue of US$ 65.4 billion in 2020. They have been the leaders in the aeronautics business for decades and have the longest experience in the world in developing stealthy fighter jets ( F-117, F-22, and F-35 Lightning II). In view of all this evidence, my opinion is that whatever Turks are going to develop, is NOT going to be superior.

If it is larger than F-22 raptor than what engine it will use? As F-22 uses F119 engine which produces 152 KN of thrust and no other country has such 5th generation capable engine.
they are developing their indigenous jet engine which is expected to be completed in 2030, meanwhile they will power their TF-X with GE F110 engine which they are license producing .. but you are right, the TF-X will be underpowered until their indigenous jet engine enters into mass production
