i miss the Vet too along with the Spectrum. Pete Rose said, “All the newly built stadiums today are band-boxes. They are built to make more home runs.” The Vet was our cathedral when the Phillies were in town. Especially when Carlton was pitching, forget about it~~!!
The Spectrum was my first concert 2002 Pop sux Tour with Korn Headling man I'll never forget it went to the vet with my family every summer I have so many memories I lived in Philadelphia for 20 some years now the vet is a part of history and Philly culture in my opinion I miss it so bad I remember my dad and I watching it in 2004 on TV being torn down I was in 10th grade.
I do to man miss the vet 92 baby still remember monster jam and wwf at the spectrum Rolling Stones at the vet hearing about the games there miss those days go Phillies go birds 🦅
Those stadiums built in that era were awesome. Period.

Only Pete Rose would be nostalgic for a cookie cutter stadium.
No, they weren't! RFK Stadium was notorious for killing home runs. Frank Howard was one of the few hitters who could reach the upper deck.
I remember going to one of the last games there with my brother. It was my first and last game at the park. Still sticks with me till this day.
Would love to know more about the jail and courtroom in vet stadium.
Good story, I was at the Vet twice in 1984 to see the Montreal Expos play the Phillies twice there!

This dude didn't get brain cancer. So whatever caused it for baseball players like Tug and Dutch, wasn't found in storage areas
A sports venue like Veterans Stadium should have been upgraded if the Philadelphia Eagles were still playing there.
That place was hopeless.
