benny a work or 2 on concrete...24h its hardish 7days its at 90% of its qure and strength 1 month its cured the chemical reaction has completed and it is at 99% of its strength and will only continue to harden from then on ... dry stuff i know but your dragway has just shelled out a big chunk of change i suspect they will be closed a minimum of a week and probably 30 days after they finish placing the concrete ...sorry for the bubble bursting but thanks for the videos
Benny, when I was a very young man, watching the drag races, eight seconds was national level fast- in 1965 for even full on gassers and altreds. Cresta not only has a license plate, but really can pass the tough MOT in Australia. My, how times have changed and gone way down for even stock bodied cars! Awesome, Benny, really awesome- and watching your hands go about even the mundane is instructional- you don't waste much effort and make simple tasks look effortless. Good testing and great fortune seeking seven seconds!
Love the content, that cresta is a weapon and sounds awesome. Would like to see longer videos like that of the original IS200 build or the Red Cappuccino please
Good to see the Cresta getting some more love - its a damn fine car you got there, Benny! Speaking of which, would be interested to see anything on your Stagea if you still have it - I'm into fast estates/tourers/whatever they're called in Aus, and I bloody love the Stagea! Possibly my dream car!
Love your work mate!!! If you get to make it back to the US in 2021 you should show Adam lz what a Barra and some good Aussie engineering can do. I recon one good blat and he would let some wee out....
Hello, I saw the wilwood brakes on the cresta, I have a x8 cressida here in the states , has a 2jz conversion, can I know which vehicle's kit you used for the brakes? The x8 looks very similar in suspension and hub to that. Any help will he appreciated. I currently have the r32 akebonos but would like to have wilwoods.
emmanuelgt5 hey mate, nothing is the same as x8 or we would have used nissan 4 pots also . The skykine brakes you have now are far superior to the wilwoods
@@BennysCustomWorks thanks , I wanted their big 14 inch discs and 6 pots, but I will stick to what I have for now as you suggested. Keep up the good work
Forget the 7 seconds Benny I would love to see the old girl do high 6's as it would show what happens when you think outside the box. Benny she need a wash low brother. lol
He already did. He got pulled up by the police a while ago because it wasn't engineered. In an episode not long after that he said it was now engineered
Wurth brake cleaner pump action spray bottle. They're brilliant. Beware of trying to use a cheap garden sprayer instead, it won't work, the brake clean will eat the seals and destroy the plastic internals in the pump (ask me how I know... 🤦 ) eshop.wurth.co.uk/Product-categories/Pump-spray-bottle-printed-unfilled/31083007101503.cyid/3108.cgid/en/GB/GBP/?CampaignName=CS005&RecoId=box1@productdetailpageA eshop.wurth.co.uk/Brake-cleaner-BRKCLNR-1LTR/0890108100.sku/en/GB/GBP/
It’s from one of the sales reps that comes around. We buy cleaner in bulk . Cheap weed sprayers are ok for home use but you need to clean them out regularly

Can it pass a nsw roadworthy through? It was detected off the road and requires engineering.
I am digging the music choice on this one, keep up the awesome work Benny & Gian!

I agree come on Benny put your back on to it champion! 🤔😊😎
After doing so many 335i rocker covers i forgot how easy theses 90s twin cams were to change.
I bought a set of shocks off Brett. He is great to deal with, even took the time to dial them in over the phone.
Benny's at his happiest when he's tweaking the cresta!
"pretty quickly" is the best way to get to 7 seconds.

mike german bendy things FTW!!!
Saved me plenty a swear word ! Thanks for the hard work prod content benny learn more from your barra vids than service info haha
Plan for low 10, get to low 8.
Impressive work around problem solving.
Good progress and excellent tunes!
It has been a long Siesta for the Cresta ;)
Music on point 👌
Back in the day we used to think running 90/10 shock were the ultimate set up for front shocks and IIRC 50/50 in the rear!
Nice work Benny, keen as to see some cresta drag racing vids. Might have to grab a bcw hoodie 👌🏽
Good music 👌
Bugger didn't realise the preorder was still on. Just ordered from the skid factory and AVE.
I love the Cresta!
I reckon Benny needs a sidekick. A hype man. Yeah. 🤙
chill montages 🏝😎🏖
dude might have to cop me a bcw hoodie! loving your work

How good are those old school 4 litre engine guard badges on the Cresta? Love it!
Can still buy them from ford, S pac.
Good work mate 👍
Sorry if it’s been asked before, but what is that gold looking deep socket you use on your impact driver?
Rowdy Burns we bought them in Japan, trying to get them currently.
Benny's Custom Works thanks heaps for the reply man, I appreciate it! Awesome, if you can get them I’m keen.

Wait, you were running a $70 stock shock rebuild kit in an 8 second car... Benny you're a fucking mad lad xD

Benny she need a wash low brother. lol
Can you get the Cresta engineered?
He already did. He got pulled up by the police a while ago because it wasn't engineered. In an episode not long after that he said it was now engineered
Proper!
Love watching you work, and all that you work on. Speaking of work, where can i find some of those golden nut drivers?
Where do I get a gold impact socket like that?
Benny.. what is that spray bottle you use for parts cleaner?

I'm 71, don't think a hoodie would look quite right... strange fellow spotted in Woolies... officials would be called in...
Why worry about other people? You'll be warm and comfortable when they're staring.
Being old is a state of mind.
It's only a number brother enjoy all of life why we can an stuff what people think.
A new coat of wrinkle red would look great on the rocker cover
I guess Woody from Skid Factory was too busy to paint it? ;)
pro.
It's like showing-off by non-Subaru owners when they change rocker cover gaskets that easily.
Did you just change 2 things?
Hey Benny, you definitely need a sidekick with spunk who can bring the best out of you and offer "smart" comments. Its all that's missing Bro
That slick looked like you’re leaking gear oil
The Cresta ...Gasser
So let me get this straight, you "DON'T" like smashing your oil pan on the track?
no more oil leaks?
On an sr20?
that's optimistic 🤣😁
If there from vic... soak them in alcohol and idiot proof mix for 12 hrs.. just too be surs. And wear a mask 😂😉
Two Cars, One Video...
I don’t know how much you payed for that ratchet but dose not seem wurth it
