I TRIED TO TELL HIM THAT I WASN'T TRYING TO COPY HIM BUT ALL THAT CAME OUT OF MY MOUTH WAS LAUGHTER! I COULD NOT FOR THE LIFE OF ME STOP LAUGHING! Yeah, don't do it again, Doug. You are flirting with psychosis and destroying your mind and perception of reality. This is where I've been for 10 months after a high dose mushroom trip. It's not "beautiful" or some experience to learn from when it does type of damage. We have no idea what we are dealing with with these substances and our experience of reality.
I've never seen anyone "handle" Doug like Joe, or rather, I've never heard Doug listen to anyone like he does to Joe here. I'm really glad to hear this conversation. They're great separately, seeing them together is a treat.
I'm the opposite, I tripped so hard I didn't know my own name when I was eventually conscious enough to speak, it's been like 6 months now and I still think about it...don't regret it at all tho

It was a totally innocuous sentence, but halfway through I had that feeling of deja vu and said the last few words “was in New York” in real time. The two friends looked at me strangely and then looked at their buddy. He just stared at me and said “how the fuck did you know that?” I told him I have no idea, which was true. We all had goosebumps and just rushed through the rest of the check in. So weird.
I love how joe encourages him to drop the fuss and insecurities of the outside world and tells him to revert back to that settled daze where he understood his own unique place in society while on dmt. Doorways opened in the mind are gifts but useless if we decide to shut the door and throw away the key. Hold onto your new knowledge and apply it to your everyday life!

The trips I've been having have really helped me a lot, I finally feel in control of my emotions and my future and things that used to be mundane to me now seem incredible and full of nuance on top of that I'm way less driven by my ego and I have a lot more empathy as well
Deadbeat Hero is one of the best comedy routines I've ever heard, on par with the best of Bill Hicks. My roommate heard it playing the background and was laughing his ass off. I played it the next day for a friend and when they asked he who it was my roommate said "The Best Comedian In The World". That's not to be taken lightly and I cant come up with a argument to prove otherwise either.

I did mushrooms a few times in the 80-90s and I had great trips with them. The only harm I experienced was aching jaw and cheeks from the teeth grinding and laughter, I'd do them again in a heartbeat. I loved the feeling of a new beginning, everything looked brighter when I came down, and for me, a new appreciation of nature. I don't understand them saying they're frightened to do mushrooms, unless they mean fly agaric, which I haven't done. I suppose everybody has a different trip and they can vary so much between batches. My wife, for instance, puked with them and hated them lol.
I need guidance I can do 400-500 ugs of Lucy and 3-5 of shrooms and don’t get visuals a higher dose just makes me more disoriented and voices in my head non stop.

I've used DMT and I've given birth on Ketamine due to some weird circumstances.. 😅 Comparable situations let me tell ya. When you give birth you are reborn. When I used DMT I slowly felt my body die, limb by limb, the cold took over my body until it reached my major organs. Then I was reborn again. I felt like I died a million times over and over again on ketamine. DMT was a much more positive experience but I'm very introspective so I still found value in the K experience. I learned to disassociate as a child to escape abuse, that trip showed me that I do NOT want to disassociate and feel nothing.. fucking scary.

what gives me anxiety is the idea that people who did DMT will reach the end of their lives only to find out DMT was an experience that came and gone, and isn't returning to them at the last moments. just some some distant memory and experience meant for living people... that in death, is now leaving them... and the worry that they might feel... which is that they wont have what they did on DMT ever again. the feeling that death is meaningless

I did mushrooms a few times in the 80-90s and I had great trips with them. The only harm I experienced was aching jaw and cheeks from the teeth grinding and laughter, I'd do them again in a heartbeat. I loved the feeling of a new beginning, everything looked brighter when I came down, and for me, a new appreciation of nature. I don't understand them saying they're frightened to do mushrooms, unless they mean fly agaric, which I haven't done. I suppose everybody has a different trip and they can vary so much between batches. My wife, for instance, puked with them and hated them lol.
After 45 years later i can sill remember every trip i was on...!!!

I've used DMT and I've given birth on Ketamine due to some weird circumstances.. 😅 Comparable situations let me tell ya. When you give birth you are reborn. When I used DMT I slowly felt my body die, limb by limb, the cold took over my body until it reached my major organs. Then I was reborn again. I felt like I died a million times over and over again on ketamine. DMT was a much more positive experience but I'm very introspective so I still found value in the K experience. I learned to disassociate as a child to escape abuse, that trip showed me that I do NOT want to disassociate and feel nothing.. fucking scary.
Some say if you stand in front of a mirror and say DMT three times Joe Rogan comes and offers you elk meat

what gives me anxiety is the idea that people who did DMT will reach the end of their lives only to find out DMT was an experience that came and gone, and isn't returning to them at the last moments. just some some distant memory and experience meant for living people... that in death, is now leaving them... and the worry that they might feel... which is that they wont have what they did on DMT ever again. the feeling that death is meaningless
