This is the most live that I've personally heard from them so far. It's too bad there was clearly some sound/mic issues tho. Made their voices very quiet in comparison to the backing track, but their voices fought to peek through.
There was no issue with the mics, sbs gayo chose to turn down the backing tracks this year and you can hear who lipsyncs and who really sings. It's a pretty clever move from them ngl

They have some mics problem at the beginning but they definitely singing live the whole show especially during the LOVE DIVE. Their vocals are loud and clear
it's not the mic problem, a handheld mic needs some technique to use it. the range of your mic with ur mouth play important role. so if they can't use mic control technique they will sound like a mess, that's why we used to watch a singer with handheld mic sticking the mic to their mouth and pull it when they needs to hit the high note.

the mic is not the problem, how you utilize the mic is the problem. a handheld mic/standing mic like that need some technique to use it. you have to stick it to your mouth and pull it when you screaming high note. in this case, don't blame the mic 😑

The technical team messed up the performance for After Like. They forgot to turn on their live mics and you can only hear the backing track ( which ALL groups that day had ). Their live mics were turned on only during Liz’s part thats why you suddenly hear her loud voice, however the volume kept being messed with that’s why during the whole performence their live voices fade in and out making the performence sound disjointed. It’s not their fault, it’s the technical team’s.

Whoever was in charge of the technical side for this performance really messed up big time. They forgot to turn on the mics of the girls for the first few moments of the performance. That’s why you can only hear the backing track for Wonyoung, Rei and Gaeul for the first few moments of the performance and Liz’s sudden vocals during the middle of her part. But it seems like they kept messing up with it during the whole performance because the volume keeps going up and down. All groups performing tonight had a backing track playing behind their live vocals so if you’r an IVE hater don’t even try it. It’s unfortunate this happened because people already discredit the girls’ singing, which as an IVE stan I will not sit here and claim that they are the best vocalists out there but they are all at least decent and have Liz and Yujin who can indeed sing very well, you can see that during their recording sessions. I am not a delusional stan and claim what they are not but I also won’t accept haters trying to overexaggerate the truth.
