Character AI did not do themselves any favors by adding the filter so early, as the filter does not work as well when the output is poorly written and/or less direct, which only causes people to rate worse replies instead of the well-written ones.
It's good to see that NovelAI, at least for now and probably in the future, is not censoring and gutting their AI.
I still use it because I'm cheap but yeah it's getting painful to use especially when bots that you've spoken to a lot become duller.

For pippa or anyone trying to make images with novelAI consider using the undesired content tab and adding the following.
lowres, bad anatomy, bad hands, text, error, missing fingers, extra digit, fewer digits, cropped, worst quality, low quality, normal quality, jpeg artifacts, signature, watermark, username, blurry, artist name, holding shield, shield
This will increase the quality of the image and here are some general ones that can be added to the main prompt tags. the {} increase the effect of a tag.
{{{masterpiece}}}, {{{best quality}}}, {{ultra-detailed}}, {cinematic lighting}, {illustration}
you can all so type non tag things even if novelai does not have it as a tag, since it can still read a prompt, it might just not work too well but sometimes it works super well.

That's always been the way. There are regular users who are happy to get any use out of software at all. Then there are power users who keep up with the latest updates and customise the code (either the source code direct or wrappers around the core library). Finally there are those who aren't users, either by ignorance or by choice.
Not everyone can and should be a power user for every tool out there. We pick and choose what to specialise in depending on what else is going on in our life and our fickle whims.

NovelAI is very limited compared to what you can do with a fully unleashed Stable Diffusion trough the Automatic1111 WebUI.
Especially with all of the custom models on civitai.

Unironically, NovelAI isn't even that good anymore and definitely not worth the money when free models from CivitAI can give you better images like counterfeit2.5, anything v3 or orangemix3 As for being better than CAI in terms of text gen...Clio 3B freaking sucks, but Given how insistent on destroying the thing they've made CAI devs are, i have no doubt in my mind that potential Clio 13B or 30B will completely blow it out of the water(if its fine-tuned with chat/roleplay in mind. if it's fine-tuned as a storyteller and/or assistant then it's DOA).
Pippa got done complaining about Novel AI in the beginning but refuses to use Unstable Diffusion Automatic1111 for some reason which has no restrictions and refuses to elaborate on why.
Probably because its beyond her ability. Truly a woman moment. Don't support inferior products Pippa.Boycott anyone who censors.
