Yo, I just came to your plot and rated you after you made the server announcement hahah - it was so odd seeing you (Theodon) right after watching this video and mentioning your IGN.
So something not said in the video at all, that I needed to suss out during my own testing/experimenting (and im sure this is already known in other videos, but its worth mentioning it here) the distance your floor tile will be from the paver is determined by how far you move the paver when attempting to 'proxy' it (having it actively selected/moving it around, then pressing a number key for a placeable item in your inventory). I use the term proxy in this case because you're basically confusing palia into thinking the paver is in 1 spot while actually being somewhere else, which creates the bugged offset. So if you 'proxy' your top paver of the 4 stack to just 1 grid square away, that's how far your floor tile will move once placed. If you proxy it 30 grid squares away, your floor tile will move 30 squares. this might be helpful for people to count the grid squares (the big ones with the bold lines, not the tiny ones), so you can get exact alignment. you can also rotate your paver and the linked floor tile (now clipped under the ground), will rotate with it. Happy building :)
Thank you! Idk y but when I do the tree mailbox trick, when I take away the red prezzie then out into the world and back again my tree teleports to the middle of my plot. Has recent updates broken the glitch maybe?
@@dorotejavukasinovic3812I just did this a few days ago and needed to keep the red present there for it to actually stay unfortunately. I hid the present in more flowers in the back since I already had some surrounding the tree. The gardenia bush is best to use to hide it fully
Question for you, while using a red present to float an object it wont let me pick up the red present a the end using the cancel method you showed for the tree... is it because trees are a different type of item?

this can happen if the flooring is too far below the ground surface. If it's a problem, you can put the flowers on the floor before putting it under the ground around the mailbox.
I am not sure if I am dumb or my game 😂 But maybe you can help me. I place the four stone plates and take the first and place it somewhere else. I take it again and press the number of the plate and place both together. That all worked. Now I choose the stone plate and place it somewhere else. This is the part of my problem. The metal plate does not disappear and is under earth, it is still on the stone... I also tried it with other things what I saw in other videos. Is there a trick that I can not see? 😅
how did you place the tree? i cant place mine and it says "this is not a valid placement location." I can put flowers on it, though. Can you tell me how?
Question, since last patch, the copper building blocks don’t seem to have the “crash avoidance” properties, am I correct? And how do I fix that problem, please and thank you 🙏🏽
That's interesting. Have you not unlocked all writs on your plot yet? That does prevent some glitches from working. I wonder if that's the case here as well.

I got the cancellation and the sink to work, but I already have a lot of stuff within the boundary at my mailbox, so I did at all elsewhere on the plot and then moved it over once the tiles had been sunk, and now I can't place anything on top of them. Do the cancellation and sink steps HAVE to be done at the mailbox for this to work?
If you did exactly 4 stone pavers, then the plank should be just below the surface, but still high enough to allow you to directly place things on it. I'm not sure what exact step you're referring to to answer your questions regarding cancelation and sink at the same time.
if it's saying "you must pick up all interior decor first" when I go to pick up the paver, does that mean they patched this? or is this because i was trying to use the wooden floor instead of buying the metal floor recipe?
@@coadredalert I get the same message that I cannot remove the paver without "picking up all interior decor first". I'm using a paver and the iron metal floor. I own my entire plot. I am wondering if this has something to do with the recent patch, as per patch notes "Fixed an issue where metal blocks had different placement properties than wooden and stone blocks. They now behave like wooden and stone blocks." Do you have any insight as to why this isn't working?
@@invirtu8089 I made and posted this video after the patch that you're referring to. I assure you this is not "fixed". It's still very much doable. The note in the patch notes is referring to collusion. Iron and copper building blocks used to ignore collision. This is no longer the case as of the most recent patch, but does not have any thing to do with what I'm showing in this video. If you're trying to pick up the paver after using it as an anchor for the floor plank, you cannot do that. The paver has to stay on the ground. That's exactly why I said to hide the paver among other pavers in the video. There's no expectation that you will be able to pick up the paver after you use it as an anchor for the floor.
