  • Hello! I recorded this a couple of weeks ago, but to be honest kinda forgot to upload it lol, so here it is. I feel like most of my videos seem quite repetitive at this point, but in a couple of months I'll be out of school and I'll have the whole Summer to focus on music so you bet I'm gonna have more varied song choices 😎😎😎 peace out, have a lovely day :)) 🧡

Lovey cover of such a melancholy song. I wonder if he had any emotional connection with this tune when he was writing it, or if he just knew the formula for a sad song and rolled with it without any attachment.. would be interesting to know but I can't much info about it online.

Thank you! :) and I agree, I love this entire EP but it's almost as if he didn't write it, it's so difficult to find anything about it unfortunately. It's such a simple song in terms of melody and chord progression, but still manages to be so impactful. He's up there with the best in modern times in my opinion, and the opinion of many others too, I'm sure :))

Would you be willing to share an incomplete (without worry of ranking) list of your favorite (or most impactful) bands and/or artists? If you agree, please include your guilty pleasures! Do your tastes naturally run to the softer side of rock?
This performance was lovely, by the way.

Sure! Well, I'm not sure if my taste would fall into soft rock, don't get me wrong I still listen to a lot of it, but I wouldn't be limited to it. My favorite bands/artists (off the top of my head) are David Bowie (absolutely number one favorite haha) The Beatles, The Stones, Arctic Monkeys, The Cure, Leonard Cohen, Radiohead, Queen, The White Stripes, Sex Pistols, god I could go on all day haha. I also love jazz, Chet Baker and Herbie Hancock are my favorite. I also love Katy Perry, Adele and Frank Sinatra, plus a bunch of other random smaller artists. Sorry, bit of a long winded response there, I've missed more of my favorite artists than I've named, but that was a long list😂

@@evajade7484 That wasn’t too long! It’s a solid list and you cannot go wrong in any list that’s topped by David Bowie. I became a huge fan of his around age 14 when Changes One (his greatest hits) came out . Then I got into him deeply. My favorite record is Station To Station. Any chance you’ve heard it? Of course, nearly every record is just amazing. As a bad guitar player, I always kept track of the guitarists he recruited for each personae. As a massive fan of Stevie Ray Vaughan, the Let’s Dance record is also a personal favorite. Of course, ten gabillion people agree - it was his biggest seller.
Your list also includes other Top Ten Bands of mine; The Beatles, The Cure, Radiohead, The White Stripes and The Sex Pistols. They get slagged off a lot these days (for being an “invention” and not genuine). That’s just horseshit. I dare any “organic group” of young girls or guys to write and record an album half as great as Never Mind The Bollocks! I still get chills listening to many of those cuts.
My tastes run to the harder guitar/bass/drum sounds of original punk, new wave, Nirvana,, Soundgarden, blues, alternative and Power Pop (Cheap Trick) as well as classic rock.
I’ll have to make a list of bands. Thanks for sharing. Your taste is excellent!
