As someone from the UAE, I'm sorry you got those nasty comments. They're unfortunately VERY common anytime someone says they're leaving the UAE for whatever reason that may be. Some people get so offended which I find quite funny when most of them aren't even from the UAE so they have no right to make those comments in the first place. You're welcome here anytime. Don't listen to them
Really puzzles me why Dubai doubles down on car culture when they literally could easily afford to make the best, cleanest, fastest and most effective public transit systems in the world, must be a wealth and class thing I guess, sad
Probably because it's super hot, so even walking to the public transit would scorch you.

I used to live in Dubai for 5 years in downtown Dubai and I moved back to sunny California where the beaches have the nicest views and I was sick of Dubai and the people there and the driving and yes it takes forever sometimes to get anything done there in Dubai not organized and always dusty. Dubai will always have place in my heart but I would never move back only visit friends. Glad I moved back to So Cal ❤

Facts ! All that glitters isn’t gold ! Dubai dream wears off after 2+ years when you realise some hard truths to living here long term . It requires a huge salary’s and Your lively hood relies on your employer.
If you want to leave any country just say thank for good time you spend there and go that it

@Jas Jennifer why i see many foreigners or experts living in Dubai complain about cost of living is expensive. But I never heard the local arab (emirate) say anything. They all satisfied.......then why foreigners or experts living in Dubai NOT SATISFIED?
As an Emirati, yes we’re the most privileged here but we alll hate our weather. Some of us do struggle we’re not all wealthy it’s just a stereotype but again we r privileged so can’t complain. But if anything we’ll complain about how hot it is which is something we cannot control lol

We don’t have to necessarily talk about everything but everyone is struggling. Thankfully we have a government supported goods that we can buy but mostly local stuff. Rest is all expensive and we’re struggling as much. Specially younger gen.
