- There is something about abandoned daycares and preschools that unlocks those core memories deep in our brain that is so comforting and nostalgic. We can all remember the old days as a child where everything seemed carefree and the world around us was like a dreamy fog. All the toys and games we find along our exploration bring back those feelings of happiness and innocence that we all long to feel again as we've grown older and have experienced the real world as adults. This abandoned daycare that we are exploring today is so unique, it even has a fake village inside that reminds us of a place like Disney World. You can imagine the children. that used to attend here probably felt like they entered a different world when they played and learned here. This daycare was shuttered after the building it is within was declared condemned. They were struggling to stay in business ever since the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Now let's start our full in depth tour of this abandoned daycare and relive the feelings of being a kid exploring the world around us.

I hope they reopen this beautiful daycare. It was a wonderful daycare, except for the dead birds on the window. Poor birds. 🐦
They should have donated the toys and equipment to another facility or given it away to kids who don’t have stuff. Sad to see it left there until the roof caves in or the demolition team starts up 😢

Where in Connecticut was it located, I live in CT and never knew of it.
I have worked in daycares and this is the nicest one I have ever seen. So many facilities are not always that great. The people who worked here must have loved it. They really cared about the kids and it’s sad that such a good one is now gone. Especially considering really bad ones are still open. We need more childcare centers like this one!
We need a parent staying home with little kids. Society really got messed up somewhere along the way since it just isn't possible for so many families these days.

The sign on the door means ratio of children allowed on playground per age group. Older kids over 3 years old on playground max 29. Children under 3 years old 8 max. Does not state how many caregivers per gruop of children. I Worked at a military child development center,CDC. Our ratio for infants 8 babies 2 caregivers. Great explore!

This is the most clean daycare I ever seen in my entire life
I remember when I was just four are used to have so much fun but now I’m 14 and I miss those days and I don’t care I’m gonna go outside and go to the park and play around and be a kid again I’m gonna be a nine year old again. I think they should re-open this if I ever find it when I’m older, I’m gonna re-open it and make it even more beautiful. Those kids had so much fun I bet when I shut down they must’ve been sobbing so hard
Maybe you're 15 by now but you are still partly a kid. Hold onto that because being an adult is rarely as much fun. Don't be afraid to play and enjoy your youth. Don't worry about what others are doing, just be yourself.
The ‘hugs and kisses’ sign was for parents to not follow their child into the classroom, I’d assume

I used to work here as a pre-k teacher during prime of covid. I left about a year before they shut down. My room was the one next to the ball pit area. This hurts my heart to see how it was left.
What happened
It is completely destroyed now. Like vandals ruined it. It looks nothing like how it does in the video. Sad.

My old daycare in Lexington where I grew up was abandoned and empty my parents and I moved out it really break my heart too much just think about my daycare
The number of bathrooms is due to state licensing requirements most likely. Worked in daycare/preschool for years myself, every room except the infants room had a door with bathroom access
This place must have been heaven for those children that attended there, they should preserve the little village as it must have taken ages to build that, as for the slide Mae, Zak looks like you had fun on the slide

This place looks awesome you guys should definitely like notify someone in your town to go there and like take all that stuff like all those toys and donate them and stuff everything that's usable there otherwise it's all going to get thrown out like to send a cleanup team out there 2 grab everything❤

I work at a daycare right now and this place looks like it would have been amazing to work at with kids
Actually all those cameras were also for the parents to be able to watch there kids while there were on the cars of this place. It was like an app and they can sign in and watch them anytime they wanted. Plus incase things happened then they had cameras in the whole place.

Wow this day care looks so clean and well taken care of, the toys and the play area and the village is like a mini Disney Land, they should definitely open this place again, or turn it into an indoor play area for kids before it gets vandalized and rots
This is the amusement park of daycares. Can’t believe all the toys and stuff are still in there…Looks like everyone just stopped what they were doing and left. There’s even backpacks left behind, oh god!

All those toys,books crayons games could all be donated to other schools or Goodwill what a waste of money . So sad it’s a beautiful preschool.

I think if the kids around my way and generation had a daycare like THIS? Definitely be alot happier as adults. This was probably a private daycare or something, there's no way this was a middle or lower class one

Why was this place condemned? It looks pretty intact from the video, with the exception of a few fixable things I saw. Where is this preschool at?
@angelasharp4749 I betting since all the other building on the site were condemned. The city or county took the property from the owners through a legal process called Eminent Domain. Some crack pot developer and a corrupt city or county government condemned this building too under Eminent Domain laws. They use this sneaky law so they can pay a property owners pennies on the dollar for the property and then sell it to the developer. There has been a lot of cases of Cities doing this The Institute For Justice has stopped Eminent Domain in some states.
I wish someone would collect everything in there and donate it. Most of that stuff still looks useable.

I run my own daycare from home and would be more than happy with just that ball pit room! There's so much i would do with it!!! My kids would be beside themselves with happiness

I watched this daycare vidio, then i found the other one with the buss and vans, and wow!!! That other one was so defunct!!! This one is a beauty!! Hopefully they can fix yhe problrm and try to save the lil beauty!!!!

Way cool place to be, wouldn't want to go home if I were a kid there....to bad I saw it has been trashed by vandals. Wish it could have been reopened beforehand. Kids need a safe place to both learn and have fun since in today's society both parents need to work to make ends meet.
