4 Tips for Character Design Problem Solving!

- One of my favorite aspects of character design, is that in addition to the typical set of skills and things to keep in mind that you’d deal with drawing anything, there’s also an amount of engineering to be done. It’s almost like a puzzle, but not one that was made by someone else that has one definitive answer, it’s uncharted territory. I want to show you a few of my problems and solutions from my art this past month, and pass on hopefully a few practical things that can help you.

This was really helpful! Lately I’ve been trying to push shapes and exaggeration more, because my art needs to break this habit of looking cartoony but still being beholden to human proportions. Let’s see if I can solve these problems!

Wow, great timing! I have struggled with the things talked about in this video as of late.
Without going too overboard with details, I have a werewolf character and I struggle with creating a design that has him recognizable in both human and wolf form.
That recognizable bit is important to his character story wise and design wise but it’s difficult to find a balance between humanity and creature. This video definitely helped to give me an idea of where to start though and it taught me a lot! :)

I've seen bits and pieces of the game you're working on but this is the first time I've heard what it's actually gonna be like and I'm super excited for it now!
Off topic though I have some criticism on the end card. I feel that the music and video should smoothly fade out instead of the abrupt stop that it has had for a while now.
