She should have picked Jessie J. The only thing Will.I.Am could help her with is production. Jessie really wanted her and I think they would've worked well together.

Jesse J was well pissed, I also think Jesse would have done the most with her. That comment re watching Jesse singing in her room was perhaps a tad off the mark LOL. But I do love Cleo nevertheless

I’ve never seen someone so heartbroken like Jessie when she didn’t picked her. Even not being there I felt it for Jessie, she couldn’t even hide her heartbroken face
as soon as i saw her face the first thing that came out of my mouth was "cleopatra coming at cha", i really loved that group.
I shamefully confess I spend probably too much time going back and looking at all kinds of blind auditions, from shows around the planet. Cleo Higgins' audition, if not the best audition I've seen and heard, is one of the handful of the best. If I put my mind to it, Cleo's audition is up there with Judith Hill's (The Voice USA). I could think of a couple of others, with more time. Higgins and Hill are people who have not only voice and musicality, but also that ineffable sense of performance itself. Singing is about communicating and connecting. Performance, the drive to connect, is no small part of it.
Robert Eller totally agree. I read the first line of your comment and thought immediately of Judith Hill's audition, which I found more enjoyable and of the very highest level. Other ones of great artistry are India Carney singing New York State of Mind and Jazz Ellington singing Ordinary People virtually acapella...
Someone said the magic words, Judith Hill, she was absolutely robbed durning her season and thank Odin The Late Great Prince had enough of reasoning in his mind to sign her to a deal getting her in attention she deserved
Well, she doesn't need to learn anything from Jessie because she already had a career before Jessie had, she knows everything there is to know about singing. That's why she chose Will because he is a producer, she needs to have an album after the competition

I think it was obvious to all that she should have picked Jessie - the only person that couldn't see it, was the one person who should have been able to see it... It was obvious that Cleo had an agenda - she wanted exposure to Will. She'd have got that anyway, and i recon would have won that series if she'd done what she should have done, and picked Jessie. Jessie didn't help her case by revealing she wanted to learn from Cleo but.. Cleo had been out of the industry for a long time unlike the others and whilst she might think she "knew" it, it was most likely a different animal to what she remembers.
She should have focused on a winning performance on the show to boost her profile - that in turn could have led to who knows where... but the look on Jessie and Will's faces said it all - they both think she picked the wrong person.
No it was because they had a lot in common. Also just because she had a courer before Jessie doesn’t mean she doesn’t know as much. What you’ve just said is the biggest loads of rubbish I’ve ever heard.

aye - couldn't have said dissapointment more if it was in 6 foot high neon letters. I think both Jessie and Will were shocked. I'd go as far as to say, picking Will cost her the competition - by a mile she is outstanding vocally and should have teamed up with Jessie.
I loved her and her sisters when I was younger. I still have both Cleopatra CD's somewhere. She has a beautiful voice.

Their mother was dating a guy, let's call him Nigel, who she didn't know had a questionable background but had connections to the Manchester music scene and studios and had the money to get access to the studios.
Whether known or unknown to the mother, Nigel had a past as a major Manchester drugs gangster. After his help, the girls made it big on their own.
One of Nigel's ex girlfriends, let's call he Mara was jealous of him helping and supporting Cleopatra while Mara was working as an escort and dominatrix, and went and sold her story to the the sun for £10K around the time the girls had made it big and was working with Madonna who then dropped them then others dropped them entirely and that's how things stopped for them.
That bitter Mara now lives in London, has no money, told more lies about Nigel who was then put up in two crown court trials, both finding him not guilty and is still bitter and has no money. She has committed several crimes herself
Meanwhile, despite things falling apart for Cleo and her sisters, she still has a tightknit family, loving partner and children and is a successful chef, while the bitter, evil ex Mara is sitting seething away.
This is coming from someone who knew the bitter ex and told things directly to me, so this is not gossip, I'm no longer in contact with her due to her abusive, lying, envying ways 🙏🏻
For all these years, Am I the one who’s still amazed by Jessie J how she intimidated those runs after she turned her chair?

Yes she is. She’s performing a lot at the moment everywhere around the globe while probably recording new material as she’s always been doing. She does a lot of Tina Turner & Whitney Houston shows as well. It’s going well. 😊

Chol Achwaing She only picked Will because he's a producer and he can get her solo project out. If she wasn't already established from her past experience she would have definitely picked Jessie. But because she already knows how to navigate in the business as far as singing there was nothing for Jessie to teach her so she went with the guy who is the legendary hit maker to get her out there as a solo artist.

@@nogamenolife1901 really, Jessie has had hits as a single artist, would of known which songs suited cleos voice, Jessie is a good singer and could of helped cleo but it does look like cleo had her mind made up already, she wanted will, its obvious and I think Jessie should of caught on to that, and just gave up on the pitch

Are you kidding me, Will does that bullshit constantly with other people he tries to get on his team lol Don't give shit to Jessie for things Will does too. He can't sing for shit, he can barely fucking rap and he claims he can help a singer improve lol All he knows how to do is take generic pop singers and get them popular for their 15 minutes in the spotlight. Through the season where he had those two girls who sang his songs (Francis is the name of one of them i cant remember the other shit) none of his team members really "improved" at all through the course of the show, they kind of stagnated...
Honestly I would have chosen Tom if I were her, Tom or Jessie because the kind of music they both do gives them something in common with her, not only do they have a good ear for music but as singers themselves they can help her develop her style more and develop her vocal skills. Will can take her to a studio and auto-tune the fuck out of her voice as they record it...
Don't get me wrong, I don't hate will or anything, I rather like some of the songs hes written (He still cant sing for shit though) with other artists, and he puts a lot of personal shit into those songs which makes him a great song writer, but I just don't think he's right for anyone who wants to be taken seriously as an artist because everyone shits on Pop music now and having a producer promising you record deals and promising to take you to the top as a coach isn't something I would see as a good thing lol. (He didn't do it with her here, BUT he has done that to other people he's tempted onto his team in the past. I've binged watched the episodes of the Voice over and over enough to know.)
Will sucks when it comes to signing talent. he's worse than Diddy. At least diddy gives you 15 minutes and boasts his artists. Will doesn't even bother to polish artists half the time, let alone promote them. he's so focused on his own endeavors and his own brand. She picked Will probably because he was the only one there that's relevant in Hip-Hop. But look at his features, mostly other artists who are already built off a brand. Never featured off a brand he built HIMSELF. Back then Jessie J wasn't as famous as she is now. So she was seen as a risk. She also over-sold herself. Another big mistake. She shoved it down her throat and it threw Cleo off.

The new management didn’t put money on the table to promote their second album so they had to do with very low budget. The album release was always pushed back and finally wasn’t even released in the UK. That is sad because Come And Get Me reach #29 on the uk charts without promotion. Can you believe it ? They wanted Cleo as a solo artist but wanted her to sing « bubble gum pop » as Cleo once said and she did not want to sing that. Plus she’s always been writing and composing her music so it didn’t made sense at all. So she refused the deal.
