Thanks very much to Mr. Bill Stewart, to the Memphis Drumshop and to Mr. Paul Marangoni for the upload and time and effort to fix the audio. Watched whole, most of the words are recognizable by ear, some with auto-subtitles. This musician is so amazing, that even with this quality it is a treasure. Thank you.
He’s so nice trying to answer all the dumb questions seriously. - I met him last year, he was super kind. I would prefer this video quality to the countless bad camera festivals where they have a closeup of the pianists hands while the drummer is soloing.
I can't forget this Gretsch sound. The kit seems to be 70s. But the snare, it has 20 lugs, so I don't know whether it's 80s-90s or USA custom of nowadays...how do you think guys.
A real pity not being able to see such a drum clinic because of the terrible sound, it is not a problem of background sound, the total sound is bad. And the image too ... A shame ... Bill Stewart is one of my favorites ...
Damn, the camera work on this is tragically bad. The guy was recording with his old laptop's webcam and the laptop was overheating like crazy doing so. Wow. Unfortunate. The Memphis drum shop was uploading 2K res MyCymbal demos by that time, so I know they definitely had good camera equipment in there somewhere!
this would be incredible if the sound quality was at all bearable
I think my hairdryer also comes with “That great Gretsch sound”..

My guess is that the whole kit, and snare, is early 80s.
How can anyone be that good?
man, you can hear the whole history of 20th century rhythm in his opening solo. such a master!
