To many people want to dictate what others do. I am 80 years old and I have watched every video that you have out there and some of more than once. It has educated me about something that I would never get to do. The life of a miner and what they went through to make a mine , the equipment used all the years of mining. I trully appreciate how you document and respect the history of these historic places. I enjoy your content so much I almost feel like you are a friend of mine even though we have never met. Maybe one day we will run into each other out on the trail. As for the trolls, I learned years ago that you really don't need the bad customers. They increase your stress, and drive away the good customers. On the other hand, I've heard youtubers state that negative comments boost the algorithms. So I guess that's a thing. Anyway, don't get discouraged; you have a large group of decent folks who are grateful that you're willing to let us hang out with you, in spite of all the stupidity in high places. And that's my rant!

A problem remains a problem until you shine a light on it and it is addressed. Yes, every comment, even the noise (trolls) helps the algorithm because the algorithm is just crunching numbers. If a video is getting allot of comments the algorithm perceives it as a trending video and promotes it better by putting it into people’s feeds, etc.
I have watched every video you've put out Gly, and will continue to support you however many channels you decide to run! If the mine exploration has so stop, then so be it, but I'll still be watching Adventure Coolness and your other channels. Let's hope it doesn't come to that, but you have to think of yourself and your livelihood first.
Hi Gly. As you know I agree with how frustrating and difficult it is to navigate the technicalities of revenue generation and the constant changes that the companies inflict on creators. I agree with your sentiment. Always remember whilst "income" is likely to cause unfair algorithms, years ago it became apparent that it would become a full time job to navigate content relevance & revenue generation from all the search and media platforms which excluded most of us from being able to afford to compete. Do the basics well and just enjoy doing what you do. 😊

Though it's frustrating on your end, you are also creating new opportunities that you might not have tried in the comfort of the good ol' days. I’ve thought about creating a makers RUclips channel for all of my DIY hobbies (I have a few) but it seems like too much of a hassle. I've toyed with the idea of gettin serious about youtube. I do some 3d animations and have a handful of gaming videos on my channel. I'm just not sure it's worth the effort. I've got a couple that are sitting in the 20+k views range, but it's taken a year or more to get there. I don't know if I just don't have the draw or what. I've been focusing on posting on stuff on Facebook or DevianArt. I get a lot more eyes there than I do here. Oh, and it's a lot easier to manage, generally. lol I'd love to get to a point where I can be monetized. God knows I've put enough time and money into this stuff, but I'm not holding my breath on it ever happening. I guess I could promote more. I don't know. I think I need a nap. I'm rambling. IT seems like the right channel for it though. Keep on keeping on Gly!

I like the different content that was here. Now like you said you have to watch what you say. I watch so many people having to say unalive versus what they really mean.
