Dear Mr. Weller, Only minutes after I heard my dad had died, I found your message with this new song. It's beautiful, wise and very consoling. Thank you so much for sharing. Wish you many more good and creative years. Love, Jac.
I got bacterial meningitis five years ago and was really poorly. This song really helped me through the post infection depression I had. Listening to it again is very bitter sweet. Beautiful song.
The legend that is Mr Paul Weller takes us to a place we only have in dreams. We here it in his music how blessed are we to have such a talented man alive to take us to these places. 👏👏👏👏
Love this. LOVE IT. Weller is leaving us a body of work that frankly... he's up there with Dylan, Young, McCartney, Cohen, Mitchell, Bowie etc etc. The depth of his work... the breadth.... we'll never see his like again. It ain't over yet. Bless you Paul.
I lost my mum 3 weeks ago now! This song is just fantastic within my thoughts of her!!!! Beautifully made video in acoustics and vision!!! 😎👌 Iv loved everything Paul has ever done!!! But true meanings is everything I feel... Now!!!! 🤗 ✨✨✨✨💞🔥💞
I listened to this album (along with Ronnie Lane's finest) as I was walking in the countryside and it was so perfect I could have cried. And I'm an 'orrible 53 year old geezer.
My first experience of seeing him was in 1978, and I can remember it like yesterday. I can recall the whole day from the moment I got up, meeting my mates in our finery and feeling the excitement of going to see him and the band. I'm 55 now, happily married and a father, with a respectable career, yet I still feel the same when I go to see him. I'm an impressionable 16 year old again who still loves his music and watching him perform. Many happy returns Mr Weller, keep on rockin.
Only this man can keep making songs that replace my favourite one with a new favourite one.Have been a fan for over 30 years,Keep going mate and keep making great music.
Dear Mr Weller, how must you feel? I just read the comment below, people open up to you. Complete strangers but in awe. But some say dreadful things and others beautiful. It’s part of life’s rich tapestry. I join them now, and I had a year beyond all years, just. I to am writing an album. My songs are on here. The best has yet to come, but my God I simply can not stop playing this track. Man every one really dug Wild Wood..but this my friend sits there. You sat there like many writers with an inanimate guitar and one day this didn’t exist and then “under a blue sky on a new wave” it was born. I don’t know a great deal about legacy’s. But your children’s, children will well up when they here this. It’s so utterly beautiful. It cradles you, and from me somewhere in the deepest depths it makes me feel like no other song, it’s 12.35 am and for about three weeks I have been trying to write a hook for my song. Each one of your words however sits like musical sonnets as if they were meant to always align just perfectly. Peace to you my friend. Your a style Guru.
Beautiful...mr weller never fails.one of the best song writer britain as produced..what a back catalogue he as got. Amazing ..and lets be honest if ed sheeran wrote this. It would be number 1 everywhere......happy birthday mr weller..and keep producing fantastic tunes.............genius!!!!
Vern Pascal Stanley Road may be the best, but my favourite is Will Wood especially for "Shadow Of The Sun". But i liked the last "A Kind Of Revolution" too, all the discography is amazing, he always are thinking something new, go ahead!
Thanks. I haven't heard any of his solo albums prior to 22 Dreams, but I got this great collection Fly On The Wall Cheap-3 cds of b-sides-remixes-outtakes and there is some terrific jazz and Soul and Folk stuff, especially on Disc one.
I just picked up the Wild Wood Deluxe and what is amazing to me is and I've just listened to the 2nd bonus disc,( which is worth the purchase in itself) is how he was able to completely change his voice to sound just like Steve Winwood. The Traffic were great ,and he was able to come in and take over where they left off. This doesn't sound anything like The Style Council, and they didn't sound anything like The Jam.
A great genius of invention and musical experimentation, which for good reason of the international artistic scene still offers fantastic and refined sensations and emotions. Thank you, Mr Weller!!!!
Superb song by one of the best singer songwriters to ever come out of Britain! Top man. Looking forward to the next time he plays down in the deep South West of England!! :)
Sir, this to me is possibly - no it IS - the most beautiful vocal delivery I have ever heard in the 40+ years I have heard you sing. Transcendent - and as for the lyrics I can't even begin...
Bonkers! I was a young schoolboy following a young and brilliant singer songwriter old beyond his tender years.I celebrate my 50th in two weeks and wish you a happy 60th Mr Weller. Your consistent quality and convictions are an inspiration.keep on burning
Why cant old jam fans just grow and embrace weller's new music? Son have an axe to grind! We all get older with new insights and musical directions! I think this song is just AMAZING!!!! 👍😎🚬
What a song! So many layers of artistry! It also happens to match the vibe of today for me so much--Wonderful in many, many respects! Add to that an anticipation of tomorrow never before known in my adult life? I hardly know what to do so I will just drift to sleep........
Thank the heavens for song writers and artists like Paul Weller who whenever I think I lose touch and faith with the current music scene they come back with gems like this song. Thank You Paul. John McGuire (IDOL JOY) Cork city, Ireland.
For all of us who were almost teenagers when we first loved all of his great songs with The Jam and The Style Counsil, this comes as a very speciall gift. One of the many, all along the way..from Greece.
I don't think iv hear a better masterpiece all year!!!.... This song is so touching after losing mum a few weeks ago!..... F E E L every wayve of wellers soothing tones!... ☀️👌
Most beautiful autumnal music. I've been waiting for so long for a song with such feeling. Heliocentric had a lot of beauty to it too. If anyone could recommend something as beautiful/haunting i'd appreciate it. Bless.
Very Happy 6oth Birthday to PW, what a tune. Total class, forever progressing, moving forwards and producing truly beautiful music, can not wait for the new album .
A wonderful song full of hope and empathy. Will add to the Best Music of 2018, and lite rock playlists on the World United Music channel and blog. Will also include in a future podcast of the Minstral show. Happy Birthday Paul! 8-)
Well... you got a point there, but I like this. It's not A Town Called Malice, or My Ever Changing Moods, and the classics you mentioned, but what is? Anyway, his last few albums have been quite interesting, and One Tear,Satellite Kid, Hopper, New York are very good off his last one A Kind Revolution.
Aspects , great Music 🎼
I don't think it gets much better than this....
Replying to my own comment so apologies, however 40 years into his career and this can be argued to be amongst his best music 👏🏻
Dear Mr. Weller, Only minutes after I heard my dad had died, I found your message with this new song. It's beautiful, wise and very consoling. Thank you so much for sharing. Wish you many more good and creative years. Love, Jac.

He has no peers. Genius.
Please bring this tour to the States....You don't get huge crowds here in Chicago, but those of us who love you here really love you....
Happy birthday to one of this Country's great musicians.
let me correct you, *world's great musicians
Paul Weller such a genius
One of Weller's best ❣️✌️
Love Weller when he's in pastoral mode, this album is going to be beautiful.

It's odd how you say went seeing him and the band at 18 instead of saying The Jam,you are allowed to mention them his best 50 songs are all Jam songs!
Gus/ Paul Weller 1958-1982
Gus. You lost me at respectable career!
