The narrator made an interesting comment at the end, about wanting to be on the edge of learning new techniques. And he tied it in perfectly with ageing and the application of mastery. It's that philosophy that will keep him and like-minded people young at heart

Boy did this vid remind me of the old days. I’ve fished the Nak hundreds of times back in the days when Diver was roaming the falls and the Brooks platform was a sheet of plywood on the ground. Ive fished the Nak, Alagnak, kvichak, kulik and all the rivers south to Mother Goose. Alaska is a brutal unforgiving mistress but I finally got her clingy cold hands off of me when I found rivers in Wyoming that were just as good. Now I can finish my life in a glory current in sight of home. They’ll either find me dead in my house at a tying bench or floating down the river, the latter is preferable. Excellent film guys👍🏻
