Don’t know how you ended up on my feed, but I do play smite 2 and smite 1 for ten years. Me and my buddy tried to play Pred on more than 1 occasion (west coast) we couldn’t find a game for 15 mins+ both times. We ended up closing the game down.This was on steam. Makes sense that west coast had 3x less players. Gonna reinstall and give it another try. Edit: me and my buddy play at 6am-9am west coast time so that’s prolly why we didn’t find a game.
Hey brother for starters I’m glad you decided to check out the video it means the world (Cringe ik but genuinely thank you). That’s awesome Smite was something I dabbled in wayy back in the day and occasionally on a blue moon the last years. I was always hoping for a newer version, Smite 2 could definitely be something I pick up in the future. Predecessor at least for myself and duo who also play around those demon hours. We are not considered west coast so it’s not as drastic of a reach but similar boat. 2am-6amish usually have a decent queue it’s about 5 minutes tops I’d say. Personally nothing has ever felt like Predecessor or its spiritual successor Paragon and I’ll always come back to it and play because of that fact alone I think it’s the best third person moba experience. I’d highly recommend another shot and I’m glad you’re doing so. It’s certainly got huge potential and even more so if it’s attracting such positive people like yourself.

I played paragon waaaaaaay back on the ps4 when it was in testing phase, I believe it had a card system when I stopped playing it. I enjoyed it quite a bit but ended up going the smite route. Now with smite 1 being out dated and not getting any new god updates and time between closed alpha play tests of smite 2, me and my buddy been lookin for something to play to scratch that 3rd person moba itch. Glad I stumbled upon this channel.

Plenty of great changes have been made to the game along with a welcoming atmosphere. There’s plenty of rough edges tho. I won’t deny that and it doesn’t only stem from the game itself but the community as well. That being said there’s always cons unfortunately but don’t let the small things taint an otherwise good experience.
I call bull on refund. I agree that they knew they would stop supporting the ps4 so why take their money? Its shitty. Also the number of ps4 users makes ups half (50%) of all PSN users. Still, even after 11 years. People are saying this is good but the truth is that it isn't lol. There cutting an already small playerbase, by what i imagine, is a large percentage. I don't see the good news.
You’ll get all sorts of wacky and idiotic takes from people who just simply don’t care or understand the situation. I don’t have inside knowledge of the logistical implications behind the refunds but what I’d like to see if that’s not possible is compensation in someway. (Not fucking Amber lol) I agree like I said in the video the market was the PlayStation 4 community and I’ll be interested to see what kinda effect this has on the game in a player population aspect. Omeda said themselves they’ve had numerous players asking for help with the crashes on the PS4 so it must be quite the population right? Even though it’s a positive in the grand scheme of things it’s still sucky for the people who can’t afford a new console or prefer the console their on and I hope they can get back to playing the game we all enjoy very soon regardless if that’s on PS5 or migrating with the account linking.
I have comtempt for the community of ranked play. Met them in LoL, Smite, DOTA, OW2, and I actually despise the people it attracts. I say give them ranked play, so they can all stay away from me.
This isnt bad. On the contrary, this is good for the overall health of the game. A platform holding back the game for everyone is bad.

It’s unfortunate people just avoid ranked because of a few bad eggs. I totally get it tho hopefully things go more in a positive direction.
