Yeah, you can really only make randomly/procedurally-generated levels work when you design the whole game around it, e.g. like in the better rogue-likes like Hades & Dead Cells

i think putting the majority of palaces in S kinda devalues the tier. and shido's palace gets a little repetitive, especially with the mice - even if its toned down from Base5

@@kevin2714 it really doesn’t. Because this is how I feel after playing 2 runs of P5R. Sae and shido to me are on the same level as Maruki. I love the boss fights the palaces the music. Characters that were involved, the puzzles and more. It’s like someone saying the love pizza but also love fries. There 2 completely different setups on how they are made but there both great creation that deserve to be in the top tier
I know the voices are mostly from when the were giving speeches, but I love the echoes behind their voice. Gives it the 2008 microphone quality in Discord. 10/10
Honestly, the hottest take in this video, is Obama saying that Wakaba is a better boss than Madarame. The whole boss is held together by a gimmick and if you happened to not run away from any fights, you probably have makarakarn which forces to boss to kill herself.
Bro do you remember the vanilla madarame boss fight it was one of the worst but I do give credit they improved it in royal. Wakaba boss fight I hated as well my first ever play through but playing a 2nd time this time on royal, it’s a decent fight

All you have to do is defend until you shoot her with the crossbow and then go all out. If you want to be a true chad, you just put makarakarn (or in royal you just put the enhanched kaneshiro will seed item) on joker and the idiot boss kills herself when she dives on you :D
I think a tier list is pointless if you just rate everything highly (and at the literal highest tier) and a not very interesting video if they all have the same opinions
I love Persona 5 but the mementos palace was so trash man, definitely the least inspired palace visually, and I feel like the whole "fight a literal god" trope is always weaker than having real human villains with built up characters.

S: Kamoshida, Maruki A:Madarame, Kaneshiro B:Futaba, Sae C:Shido, Depths of Mementos Jesus Christ I hate this game: Okumara Kaneshiro is a solid b-tier but the music elevates it. Madarame’s palace was amazing thanks to good music and a fun design. It’s also the best, visually. Madarame is just not a good villain and Yusuke’s introduction being dedicated to sexually harassing Ann is a swing and a miss. Futaba’s palace has an amazing story but is let down by a weak palace design. It’s a straight line that contrives a bunch of stupid side paths to keep you from just walking up the stairs and because of that, progress feels incremental at best. The theme is amazing, but the boss fight is meh. It was stupid hard for me, at first. Then I fused a persona with physical reflect and the boss couldn’t have killed itself faster if it took a toaster into a bath tub. Sae has a good dungeon, but she’s not an interesting villain. The betrayal subplot was annoying and easily telegraphed. The boss fight gets interrupted by the cops coming in to arrest joker, so Sae technically never has a change of heart and this renders the story pointless. There’s a 2 hour cutscene dedicated to revealing 20 minutes worth of information about pancakes…that shit nearly ruins the game. Shido is a bland generic villain. I don’t really even mind that he got Joker expelled. Joker’s life actively becomes better when he moves to Tokyo. He becomes a celebrity who has everything handed to him for existing. The cruise was a really stupid fucking dungeon, I hated the mouse puzzles and I hated the attempt to redeem Akechi. Stupid dungeon. The Depths of Mementos is visually repetitive and forces you to grind to the bottom of Mementos, which is the shittiest part of this game. The enemies become terribly spongey and the phantom thieves end up having to battle god, which is a really lazy genre trope at this point. At this point, the game has ended its main plot and tacked on this shitty last dungeon because why not… I don’t need to talk about Okumura, Kamoshida, or Maruki. We all know and agree on them
Was about to argue about Futaba’s palace until they made the argument about character development and story. It was annoying gameplay wise. Def should’ve had ranked stuff lower since we’re comparing them to each other
I liked the hunt you had to go on before you actually go in the palace maybe it’s just me 😅. As well as P5R letting you straight up skip so very annoying parts of futaba palace. If this was base vanilla futaba palace then I would say there is no way I could put it in S. But on my 2 run besides the puzzle with the coffins lights, everything else I really enjoyed
These are usually pretty funny but this one didn’t land at all for me. They agreed on everything and put them all in S tier. If you just love everything, there’s really no point in making a tier list. Just my two cents
