The first release in the three Mozart-Da Ponte opera recording project with Sony Classical, Le nozze di Figaro is the culmination of Currentzis’ & MusicAeterna’s decade-long quest to faithfully bringing the composer’s score to life. Recorded under ultimate studio conditions the series continued with Così fan Tutte in 2014 and Don Giovanni in 2016.
Teodor Currentzis says “My credo is that every performance you give has to be like a pregnancy. You have to dream and you have to wait until the time comes when you see the miracle happening. If you’re not like that in music, you lose the central idea of music. Music is not a profession and it’s not about reproduction. It’s a mission.”

If something touches my heart deeply, again and again, then it is this love that you can feel and hear when you listen to this wonderful masterpieces of Mozart. Probably of the most touching works and unrivaled in their interpretation. Whenever I hear these passages and watch this clip with the interpretation by Simone Kirmes, Malena Ernman and Konstantin Wolff, I get goose bumps. Never before have I heard such sensual, beautiful and lovely interpretations and never since. What Teodor Currentzis has achieved here with his artists and the message he shares with us is absolutely fantastic and out of this world. Everybody is a student in front of Mozart. Thank you Maestro!

All your interpretations deserve long life. I can't see any conductor in nearest future who will be able to deliver another version of everything you conducting with the fresher, more innovative and more HUMAN interpretation. Yours is in line with the current world . Sad, some people can't appreciate the depth your soul, wisdom of your brain and sincerity of your passion to music. Please ignore those - they are definitely in minority and don't deserve to be noticed...

Perfection is equivalent to death.. I would say that Mozart himself had much more life in himself than this whole team. It is lacking naturality, too „overthought“, there is no pelvis in it..

Ушедшие сутки лишь попусту были.
Сейчас же есть смысл, где сумрак и славность,
где пара беседные формы скрестила,
в какой есть портрет, в ком покой и приятность!
Накрученный, дымчатый свод над бровями
пушится, как купол живого фонтана,
который душист и ночами, и днями,
как дар от далёкого, птичьего клана.
Черты собеседницы так расчудесны,
что даже луна заглянула средь шторок!
Задор разомлевший, немного помпезный
вкушает слова, как коньяк, что так дорог.
При свете гирлянды, что зал лакирует,
витает коричневый запах "Lavazza".

Вот и получается, что он задешево, а местами бесплатно создает записи, которые сделают его и знаменитым, и богатым в мире за счёт дешёвой рабочей силы. А Россия думает, как ей повезло с маэстро.

Igor Pogoretsky а вы закройте глаза и слушайте Музыку, вы ж не в цирке, чтоб смотреть акробатические номера. Если его движения помогают ему творить музыку, какая разница
А вы смотрите и слушайте результат: звучание оркестра, хора и солистов - вне всякого сомнения это прекрасно и талантливо! А как понимают его музыканты, а как им это нравится и они отдают ему свои таланты! Результат, вот что главное, а способ дирижирования у него очень точен и эмоционален!
