As someone with 1k kc at vetion (dry on vw piece) i can tell you that ironically vetion is BY FAR the safest of the three bosses, and you should be able to escape 90% of encounters. In 1k kc i died maybe in total 7 times and in 5 of those deaths they even could have been prevented due to me misplaying.
You need preferably two monitors with one runelite plugin full screened on the left monitor with wilderness alarm plugin and preferably a spear equipped incase it goes tit up. That account is your security camera and you will basically do nothing else with it anymore.
Then you need to play PERFECTLY during the boss fight, this might sound hard, but all it entails is that you need to dodge the lightning and the pattern is very simple, it either appears on top of you or 1 square away from you around your character. You can change shiftclick to walk here on vetion and sometimes click inside of him to dodge the lightning. During transition just stand in the middle of his tile and you wont take damage from lightning. As soon as you see someone logging in on your security camera you should be able to log out, assuming that you havent gotten hit by lightning, as you would be seen "out of combat", since you're not taking any damage.
The only time you can die is if you get dogs and they tag you, this means you cant logout. Thats why when vetion approaches 50% hp, you run to the exit and kill the dogs at the exit. This means when a pker logs in you should be able to instantly click on the exit and be gone before he go into the cave and see you. Also if you exit before he checks, it will say theres 0 players inside. The only time you could die is if they have teams at the exits etc. which i died once to in 1k kc. Also if you surprise rambo him to 50% in the corner and they login AS YOU DO THAT, which also happened once and caused me to die cause i couldnt log out. Those are the only two deaths where i had no counterplay, the other 5 were due to my own greed.
Basically it's the safest wildy boss you could have rolled and you just need to get a security camera and get comfortable with the boss fight.

Came here to say this and my man said it all. Time of day is also really huge. Last thing to avoid the team waiting for you outside of the escape caves it’s actually way safer to run north to the chunk you have unlocked than the south one. Sometimes you juke the pker too since most people assume you want to get to level 30 wild.

Don't forget, revs count for the plasmator, so if you have the 99 prayer grind, have that with you if you're going to stock up on ether or any supplies

I was basically just saying as a small increase in xp when restocking, and also forgot it was lost on death past 20
@@AntiSora2 Soul wars gives prayer XP. If he gets 99 prayer grind the move will simply be to spam soul wars till 99 prayer, and he doesn't need restocking for that.

Not sure you're aware but you only have to pray melee when the skeleton dogs are out. Vetion itself doesn't damage you, or well not any damage thats lowered by praying melee.
Also just realised Vet'ion has a curved bone drop. Lucky you got mammoths for the curved bone instead of Vet'ion! Count yourself blessed
In regards to the boss and lava dragons you don't actually need ether to use the wilderness weapons - yes the damage and accuracy bonus is nice but if you need to kill a lot of a safe spot monster for example dps isn't the real consideration. Longevity is. Once you factor in the cost of gathering ether it may not be worth it for the slight increase in dps at lavas for example. For bosses where dps is a big factor in trips and kills it makes a lot more sense.

I've got a decent experience of both killing veti'on and pking there so I have couple of tips.
First having a scout outside the cave with wilderness alert helps a ton sometimes pkers don't even bother.
Also something that pkers do is they see a world with a scout and log to a different world next to the cave entrance and then hop back and instantly go in so if you spot a pker logging out close to the cave they might do a surprise attack.
You don't need to have protect from melee on for veti'on only when the dogs appear so you can save some prayer points on that.
You can do veti'on without taking damage pretty easily once you get used to the pattern but I don't know if 1-tick flicking while doing that is easy. What I usually do is just keep piety on so best combat prayers and then when veti'on goes under 50% and spawns dogs i just quickly put on melee pray. Ficking with your set up could be better better though .
You could also do teams since everyone gets a drop even irons but the drops get split. This also helps with pkers since some could bring anti-pk gear and also it splits the agro between everyone
Veti'on always brings the lightinings down on or one tile next to you so you get one hit in then have to dodge.
You can also get a log out from Veti'on cave while he is alive if you just manage to dodge the lightnings and the bash attack for 10 seconds.

Redundancy sucks man, it happened to me in January. I recommend not worrying about it, enjoy a few months out. Fix up the house etc, watch all the films, drink some juice and relax. You'll find the right job when the time is right.

Serious answer, a lot of other chunk accounts get stuck with extremely boring content. Like puro puro or construction or cooking. It’s pretty hard to make content out of that. However, Fray is still pretty remarkable for how much content output there is.
yes the 1 hour and 46 minutes long video that has been out for 6 minutes at the time of your comment can fairly be judged to not have any filler

1:02:13 the rage here is amazing. Keep it up
(I'm commenting at around 1:03:30 when you asked for tips) I've got over 3k Vet'ion kc on my ironman, and my top tips are:
- Do it in a duo. While I have done 1/2 of my KC as solo, so much more enjoyable doing it with a friend.
- Do it with a SKULLED CCTV alt outside, the only times in my experience that PKers will get you is if they 1-tick the cave upon them logging in, the skull usually makes them take pause for a second or two, allowing you to escape.
- The actual killing of Vet'ion does become very rhythmic after a couple hundred KC, and it's a 0 damage boss.
- Always escape out the eastern entrance (looks like you're allowing that) just because singles is directly east.
Have fun with the grind, its got its challenges but it'll be so rewarding, and keep up the great content!
you only have to pray melee for the dogs, the only other thing is the lightning damage by vetion can be reduced by praying mage. but if you consistently dodge the lightning its worth not using overheads until the dogs come out

To combat the ether situation, you could consider doing some revs along the way for example during hours when its not feasable to be killing vet'ion, now that you have the ectoplasmator you could also bring that to revs for some free prayer gains
In the last video I said I would be great to see you out of the wilderness for a bit, well that was exactly 56:36 of non wilderness content 🤣 Fortunately for you it's some of the best OSRS content out there se I will let you off.

Huge tip: You can logout during the lightning phase if you don't get hit. Don't run down to the door when a PKer hops in , just log out.
Whilst fighting vet'ion you're only considered to be in combat when you get hit by the lightning or if the dogs are out. So if you scout a pk'er on the alt you might be able to log out before they manage to get inside the caves. Amazing vid as always!
It honestly might be worth camping Soul Wars to max your melee combats if you have this long of a melee grind ahead of you. With max melees, you're also stretching your ether as much as possible, and your overall time investment is probably going to be less at the end.
Also, as others have said, focusing on not getting hit means you're out of combat, which means you can log out.
It's also worth noting that protect from melee only needs to be on when the dogs are out. It doesn’t help with any part of the fight.
I believe in you Fray, Everybody is losing their job right now (and my job is under review and finding out if im still employed next month) so make sure you take the time to support you and your family because at the end of the day they come first!
1:05:00 when you've gotten better at vetion, unless dogs spawned, you can literally just log out if your scout sees anyone.

At Vet'Ion, if you dodge all the lightning attacks, you're only considered "in combat" when the skeletal hellhounds are attacking you.
Therefore when your alt sees a pker, your best strategy is to just IMMEDIATELY log out. Hope that's helpful :)
I would recommend doing Vet'ion with a team if you can. It will provide some protection in numbers and (perhaps more importantly for your account) due to a recent update the wildy multi bosses drop up to something like 600% more loot for teams killing them (I don't remember the exact percentage figure but it's something like that), scaling up based on the amount of people killing the boss. So if you ran with a reasonably sized team of about 4-8 people your loot would not suffer very much if at all.
Also, as long as you're not in combat with the hellhounds and you aren't get hit by the lightning, if you see a pker you can log out immediately because you aren't technically in combat during most of the fight as long as you aren't getting hit. It's the only multi wildy boss you can do this at and it is extremely helpful in certain situations.
Worth a try. Since he can only consistently do solo at mornings, would be worth to try out with a group late in the day. This would significantly speed kills, save on ether and offer some protection against pkers.

I love vet'ion. Grinded the voidwaker for my group iron. It takes a lot of practice, but it really helps to try to stay in the 3x3 area next to the exit as much as possible. You are 1-2 ticks from leaving the cave, and should get out almost every time.
Sanfew serums are also antipoisons btw :)

Damn you pumping content like revs are pumping emblems! Got a tip for escaping pkers, you can scout with a main account the entrance and if you see someone coming you can logout with your account (cant log out during hound phase tho sadly)
I'm not sure if anyone else mentioned it but for the Multi-bosses it's Ironman friendly to kill it with other people and still get loot, I'm not sure how this impacts the pet drop but it may be a viable method to use to complete the boss faster!
For vet'ion don't pray melee unless the dogs are out and don't bother 1 tick flicking, just focus on dodging and camp offensive prayers

for vetion, focus fully if you dont get hit at all you can log out when a pker shows(unless dogs are out)... also dont go be happy on loot and take time to pick it up lol insta yoink and dip cuz pker can show up rip those 20 sanfews

Just starting the vetion scenes. tips, only pray melee when dogs are out 50% hp. move in between every hit. defence probs high bc no salve amulet. during its special attack, always run back 2 squares and never under the boss. Also player true tile is very useful

1. Only pray melee when the dogs come out.
2. You can do the ENTIRE trip near the cave entrance in the boss lair. (That little alcove bit) It’s a bit more intense but means you can escape a pker as soon as they drop in almost EVERY time. Give it a try.
You can bring a single sip of sanfew with you each trip to use as an antipoison as needed. oh yeah you figured that out lol
I see you struggling sometimes with your bank pin while your screen is on camera. You can type in your bank pin by going to the bank RL plugin and enabling Keyboard bankpin. It's been so nice for me!

I'm sure this has been addressed already, but you don't have to use rev ether to kill all the lava dragons. You have access to basically infinite runes, you can just mage them like fresh irons do. Even with longer kills it would probably save time in the long run compared to having to farm more ether.
Waited the whole episode to see you stop using protect melee throughout the whole kill. Not sure if you have figured this out yet but you only need protect melee for the dogs. If you are leaving a prayer up then leave protect mage up for PKers you don't notice.
Or risk it to save prayer restoring potions by having no overheads except for just before dogs.

Some other piece of advice can be to keep vetion near the exit. This will allow you to escape a lot easier
You dont need to pray melee at all for Vet'ion unless there are dogs. on top of that, as long as there arent dogs, you arent in combat. this means you can log out any time you see a pker. having a cctv alt outside makes it super free.

Fray if you dont take dmg from Vetion you can log out mid fight and avoid them that way. This is the ONLY safe option in this scenario

Hey Fray. You've probably figured this out by now, but no need to pray melee unless the hounds are out! Also, unless hounds are on you you're technically NOT in combat so the best escape from pkers is to just log out. This grind is brutal and takes way too much ether, I'd again advise you to (sadly) take the uncharged mace instead. Gonna be a hell of a grind either way...

The melee prayer isn't necessary at Vet. Only when he summons dogs, you could have saved a lot of prayer.
Great video as always. Just wanted to say that you don't need protect from melee except when the dogs are out, Vetion only does damage with the lightning and the shield bash.
