- Hey everyone!
This week in our full time travels around australia we take our Next Gen Ford Ranger and Roadstar caravan to the Paluma Ranges, North of Townsville. We explore Big and Little Crystal creek including the natural rockslides and Paradise Pool. While in the area we find some dog friendly creeks so we can all enjoy the water, with Juice in his life jacket. From there we head up to Lucinda just outside of Cardwell and right next to Hinchinbrook Island, we find stacks of mangoes around the place and explore a few nice beaches.

Anyway Bryce this is for you. We are looking at buying a new ranger and tossing the idea of fitting a bull bar. Notice on yours you haven't got a bull bar. Any reason for that? Weight maybe?

Hey mate thanks for the comment! We have an ironman raid bar it's a bumper replacement bar. Lighter weight but also not big and bulky like normal bull bars. We don't drive at night or early morning so wasn't concerned on a big bar 👍🏽

Happy new year, fishing in Lucinda is fine in a 3.5 car topper boat, never even saw a croc and have stayed for a month twice. Loads of crocs in Proserpine River though

Be careful in any open water up north. You don't see the crocs but they are watching you.
You guys are so lucky to have a dog that enjoys going into the cool water, our dog used to stick his nose in the salt water and snorkel 😅

just on Mangoes... I lived at Bucasia, Nth QLD, ( Mackay) , decades ago, and the garbo bins were full of mangoes coz they were so abundant

Your dog will probably only need the life jacket once. It's enough to get their confidence up to do it their self. Was like that for my girl. The same for most people who have used the life jacket for their dogs. Best $30 I've spent. Even if she will never use it again.
Thats awesome to hear, very good peace of mind with the lifejacket on though, and something we can tie off to keep him on a lead!

Hi guys just subscribed my wife my dog and I are heading off permanently in a caravan around Australia in September.we are from Brisbane and this will be our first time travelling in a caravan any tips you could pass on travelling with a dog would be much appreciated thanks

We actually filmed a video with some great tips on travelling with a dog.
A good tip is buy a dog camera for the caravan. So you can leave them for short periods of time while still keeping an eye on them (make sure they aren’t barking) 👍🏽👍🏽

Happy new year! Depends on The national park, each national park has different rules, along as you follow the casa rules. The casa rules don't say anything about national parks.
