FAQs/Why would they do that?! Answers
We are so glad you are here! Welcome to our channel!
1. We are in Oklahoma near the Arkansas border.
2. We do this on a volunteer basis.
3. Kim aka Mom is retired. Jennifer owns her own business as a massage therapist.
4. We film multiple locations in one day since we can’t go out all the time given Jen’s full time job. You may not see all the locations we filmed that day in one video.
5. You may see other people in our videos at times including Granny aka Sue (mom’s mom), Jeff (Kim’s husband and Jennifer’s dad), or Jessica (Jennifer’s little sister) and Lucy (our beautiful, amazing, wonderful dog).
6. Many wonder why we put stuff down culverts. A few reasons: it provides help for wildlife, we like to and it would have gone downstream anyway. If it blocks another culvert then we will take care of that too but most of the locations we visit are in incredibly rural areas where there won’t be another culvert for miles.
7. We care about wildlife and never want to cause harm to them. The only reason we will clear a beaver damn is if it is threatening land or roads that can not be accessed any other way. It may not be the road directly within sight but a farm road close by.
8. We appreciate advice in the comments. We understand that we will receive constructive criticism in the comments. What we won’t allow is the calling of names, derogatory terms, or just plain calling us stupid or idiots. We are all adults here and the internet is already a largely negative place as it is, let’s not add to it. We are people doing our best to help our neighborhood and planet by picking up trash and clearing culverts. Why do we deserve hate for that?
9. You may not agree with or like the way we did something but that doesn’t mean we did it wrong. There is a right/wrong way to dismantle a bomb. Clearing culverts is up for interpretation to the one doing the work.
10. We hope that you enjoy our videos and will keep coming back for more! Any other questions you have feel free to ask in the comments.
sadly, none of our exit cameras worked this day. sorry!
The Super Thanks are turned on for anyone wanting to donate towards materials or fuel cost. We are grateful for anything you CHOOSE to give. Thank you for the views!
If you happen to see our content anywhere besides youtube, please let us know in the comments. We only have this content here for now and do not want it anywhere else. Thanks for your help!
You girls need a pick ax….good job , hard work ! Thank you!
TOTALLY ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO LADIES ANOTHER JOB WELL DONE 😊
Instead of “Hold my beer”, it’s “Hold my rake”!!!
I would suggest that you bring a crow bar or some type of long pry bar when you are working on this project.
That’s what I was thinking- some kind of pry bar
Maybe use a pry bar for some of those rocks...great job ladies!!!
Love these videos. Keep up the good work
Call whoever maintains the roads to get the rocks out and open the culverts.
Ladies you both are so impressive, you have communication between you both, makes the whole video come alive, thank you both, greetings from Grandpa Pete from France 🇫🇷🙏❤️
Good job 👍
Lovely work again ladies, but please, please wear your gloves 🧤 when you’re pulling out rocks and sticks from the culverts
Even a mini excavator is expensive. Just to throw that out there.
Sure push more rock into culvert instead of pulling rocks out Jen
Well good job on cleaning those culverts out ladies but I got a question for you where is that place at I would love to go walking in that water and swimming at water cuz it is so beautiful if you could please let me know I would really love it I really think you a lot
I think the people that made the rope swing are building those rock piles in front of the culverts to keep their pond.
today is may 27th 2024 ^^ I'm watching this video one year later :)
Probably best to use a hammer and chisel to break up that big rock stuck in the end of the culvert.
Once the mass is reduced to 2 or more smaller pieces it will be much easier to remove.
Some of the culverts get damaged because of the excavator users
Girls, you did fine. Great.
What a wonderfull work ! I think you can do the same think with a fork. Interest 0.
An old scissor jack would open that crushed culvert up easily. They wind down nearly flat, so you could get it into a lot of tight spaces.
You ladies need a rock bar to pry the packed ones loose.
Do you all report these to the counties you’re working in.? I don’t know why you wouldn’t because it is their responsibility to take care of them. Make sure they’re in working order. Consideration.
Really great job today! Those whirlpools are always great to watch. That last set of culverts looked extra snakey, but beautiful blue flowers. I think they were Speedwell but I am not sure.
Do what I do - always take a sledgehammer with you to beat the metal back to dislodge stones
27:00 Have you considered investing in a pickax to dig out the piles of rocks? The potato digger is better for vegetation.
Those look like Alliums, onion family.😊
Are you guys by chance friends with @post10 on youtube?
That culvert you gals couldn't find at 27 minute range, might just be the camera angles but seemed like it was at a bit of a different angle, like maybe it was even further over where the larger/deeper pool of water was? Have you ever tried metal detecting at all? Might find so.e culverts, might find some treasure!
Great job as usual, ladies! Girl power! 😊
Thanks for the clearings today, Ladies! ❤❤😊😊
Makes me nervous to watch you clean without gloves!
The only way to get those rocks removed completely is by hand and being very careful when there is a strong whirlpool running. You can be pulled into the culvert and be unable to get out. I've watched quite a number of experts do this work and it is usual to get maybe one or two rocks with the rake but not much more. Sand will be sucked out by the water of course. You guys do a good job, better than some of these men I've seen.
What is the name of the road u were on at minute 4:45? Im from Oklahoma & would love to see that water
You ladies should be having more commercials so that you can make money on your side. I’ve only had a commercial before the video started and nothing in that 38 minutes after that. Just thought I’d let you know
Thanks but we don’t get to control that. RUclips decides that.
Aren't those flowers in the beginning not papaya flowers? Well, no matter what they are, it looks truly gorgeous! The whole surroundings is in my eyes stunning but I am from the EU so, very different 😁
Thank you for another interesting video. 😎🇨🇦😎
Great work ladies as usual 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Excellent job ladies as always 👍 if you pause the video at 25.46 it looks like the 2nd culvert entrance might be in front of the little tree, where the main flow of the stream aims, thne at 27.30 you can see the sharper angle that the pipe has been installed. Just and observation, trying to help, much love💜
Ladies, ladies, why aren’t you wearing your gloves?
They use oil of ulay for dry chapped hands 😊
I agree, that is crazy 😢 GLOVES!!!
Well done great job ❤❤❤❤
Thank you 🤗
This typifies the problem, rock is supposed to move down stream, these bridges (or fords) need a back hoe in them
I wonder if that rock was put in there during a dry spell.
More likely it washed in there during a storm.
It's so big that it would require multiple beavers moving in concert to get it in there.
The best way to get that rock maybe out of that covid pipe will be to get a sledgehammer and Swinging From on the top of road towards it and break it and then I could come out in pieces other than that the right probably ain't going to get it out it's jammed in the pipe but I want to get that out probably work great or better
covid pipe huh haha, culvert?
How did those culvert pipes get so damaged?
Do you have ice flows where you are?
I.know winter months can do a number on culverts.
We don’t have ice flows here but usually when they unclog it with an excavator they can damage it
Usually lazy excavation
Or incompetent operators.@@MzKari
My first thought would be bad excavator work.
It takes a lot to crumple a metal culvert like that.
💛♥️🤍 i love this 2 girl Channel 💜💚🤍
Very good job ladies and you work so good together love to watch your videos 😄😊🫧🌈🐸
Thank you 🤗
My suggestion to you Ladies; wearing workers gloves and maybe a fisherman pant to hold dry your clothes in deeper water.
When my son had a flat tire on his bike he told me it was only flat on the bottom
😂 that’s cute 😊
Right. When you spin it a bit, it's no longer flat.
Nice whirlpools. Do you ever wonder as your digging through a pile of rocks to find the culvert and you have to give up that it might have been just one inch more? Also if you maybe had a good shovel and big pry bar those might help
Some idiot with an excavator got over excited again.
He should be fired or moved to a shovel operator or flagman
Get a long crow bar (5 or 6 feet long)...you can move rocks, bend culvert ends, etc!
What state is this content from?
Oklahoma
I wonder if unclogging blocked culverts is the equivalent of Dr. pimple popper popping cysts 😂
Its not, Culverts are better!
@@wendymurray249 I agree, I was just trying to compare it to something everyone might know 🤭😁
Do you contact the county or state where you are to report the blocked and/or damaged culverts for repair? such pretty areas you are in
We try but sometimes it’s a not very used road so it doesn’t get much attention
@@culvertsandmore, hello Jennifer! Since the “add a comment” has disappeared on my iPad, adding it here.
I just loved the water colours and flowers on this upload. You should go floating on a tube one of these days, I certainly would on a hot day! Take care….👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻
healthy muskrat population around here?
I really don’t know, If there is we don’t see them.
no wonder these grannies have seen "POST 10" vids ever
Don't think so cause post10 would be picking up the rocks or hands deep into these little tunnels
Do you need your own backhoe
Maybe get ur dad to cut the metal around those pipes l think the pipe was on an angle so it would be further a part l told my daughter u would get it you all let me down
Suggestion: Find an Old, strong pair of Tin Snips. You might be able to use them in Reverse to force open pinched culverts. Maybe even a mid-sized crowbar for those irritating Rocks in the exits. Just a thought.
Thank you! Lol….You beat me to it….💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Can you see the ‘blue’ ting on the 2nd part? 😊 ❤ 🇬🇧
You girls need tools to fit the job trying to be done. Using a potato rake for large rocks is a no go.
You could use A jackhammer or a sledgehammer might break it the rock
I’m afraid we aren’t construction workers. We just do what we can with what we have. The dot will have to do the rest.
That second culvert requires a backhoe to remove gravel leading to entrance.
Where are you the roads in your area are Terrible . The last video your road was completely collapsed. Jim's wood shop.
Southern Oklahoma
@@culvertsandmore Reading the video title, at first I thought you must have been in the Northern Territory of Australia. But cool video anyway.
And again: never let your rake lying around with its point sup, 33:50
Those iron culverts are inadequate. They crack, collapse or rust out. The county should change them to plastic. I'm not a big fan of plastic, but in some cases it's the best material.
Get a crowbar for the roak
water is not deep.you can go in water and can take right position.
fusar
Chisel and a hammer would break the rock
Sorry, we aren’t going to Fred Flinstone it.
@@culvertsandmoregood one, made me chuckle. Great video as usual! 😊
@@culvertsandmore, 😂
"Last time we came from this way, and this time we came in it from this way and it blew our minds"! WHOA! Entering from a different direction blew your minds? Luckily I only wasted 0:55. Female versions of Dumb and Dumber. I shouldn't have to dumb down to view your channel, and I won't...
We aren’t sorry. Glad to hear we didn’t gain you as a subscriber! Bye!
You have no idea what you are talking about. Roberta 🙄
@roberta4989, you're an asshole, I'm also glad they didn't gain you as a subscriber, that was a rude comment
Get a metal detector.
Why so long from filming to uploading? I'd be sitting in that water today if I was there.
We answered that for you already on the last video when you asked then.
Nice, go get someone with a rechargeable drill to drill down the rocks inside .. otherwise it´s not satisfying !!!! ;-))
It was satisfying anyway. Why are y’all always asking them to bring an entire Home Depot with them for you to be satisfied? You never do that to post 10.
you are not in right position to open a culvort .
this was too hard to watch, i give it a NO
Mom, whatever it takes, get Dad out there to help you two.
...needs male patner to work together
В этой Америке, что нет мужчин? Дамы только работают, мужики в баре голубая лагуна?
