I’m starting my business officially this June. Starting slow, going full time solo. I don’t wanna be older in life thinking, “ I should of started that lawn care business”. Thank you for alllllllll these great videos. Definitely a lot of guidance to look back on and build the confidence up while believing in myself that I’m the one to take care of these clients/customers. -💯 let’s get this money 💰
You can also call back former customers you serviced years ago. It works for me. I have a list of businesses that I serviced a few years ago that I will be contacting. Even if you did a great job for them in the past they forget your name or your business card gets lost.
Great video ! I also think it’s worth mentioning that customer retention is another huge KPI. I think 80% is super high but is still attainable. But I’d say most landscapers on repeat business is closer to 50-60% per season. I’d love to see a video on how to increase customer retention year to year! We have started posting some videos on our channel. Would love your feedback!
I think the issue here is 1. Having the capital to grow as quickly as Mike is talking about and 2. Having the know-how to be able to take on any project that comes up or find people who can. If you can really do that, then, yea, a landscaping empire is possible
I agree that this is soooo important. Profit is great, but top line growth is how business is developed. However, I do think the metric would be the percent of new customers in comparison to total existing customers, your growth rate. That should be the ratio in comparison to attrition or leakage and should have as much importance as a close rate.
Should we begin supplying an iPad in each truck? We currently have dance routes that change frequently, and equip all team members with software to enter requests jobs, and view schedules. It would cost around $50-$60/ month/truck.
Agree agree agree...blessed with 100% close ratio as im notnmarketing. Just happily keeping up with attrition. Love your fundamental knowledge you share!
Mark I need some help with my business my company's name simple property Management I do landscaping mow yards I done had a trailer and some equipment stolen from me my son just passed away February the 5th of this year I'm going through a hard time I got five other kids to take care of plus my wife and I'm struggling here in Wichita Kansas can you reach out to me God bless you and thank you
Okay so I got a question I have asked people this before what can I do to earn your business I would do anything I would love to be able to help you say for instance I gave a price for mowing a yard for $70 okay and I did they wanted me to drop all the way back to 40 how would you handle that
Great question, and I can relate to you, it happened to me in the beginning of my business. I Agree with J Barringer. Not every client is for you. Know your value (price) and stick with it. All the best and God Bless
i absoloutely love the "you Don't need to buy my products" followed by great tips. It blows my mind you aren't well over 100k subs.

We don’t do iPads for all trucks… if we did, I would do cheaper tablets that are harder to break.
Is 80% close ratio bad or good? That's what mine is this far this month
I've had less than 10% attrition the last 6 years I've had my business. Great video.
Good work!
As long as u have the man power you can do this
