this version is Charlie in his 70’s.As a younger man the lyrics in first verse were I get stoned in the morning, get drunk in the afternoon and last verse was I don’t want much of nothing but I would take another toke. He decided he didn’t want to promote drugs And the original rocks a little more because in the 1970’s he was considered southern rock
It is the artist's perogative to change lyrics but it's also why I didn't listen to his later music because I never trusted an artist who does an 180 degree turn in his views, makes me wonder if he was true in the first place.
@@bobcorbin3294 after reading his book he admitted to drinking to much early in his career, but always was a christian until he died.Don’t think he ever changed his beliefs just got more vocal about them as the country started turning away from them
Been through watching your country journey and great to see another Brit loving some country. Few songs I'd suggest listening to as they are some my favourites however they do come with a warning they are very emotional which what I find great about country is all tell a story. 1st is 2 songs that tell a story so good to listen to together which is Thomas Rhett "Marry me" followed by "remember you young". Then they is Blaine Larsen "How you get that lonely". And finally Matt Kennon "The Call". Hope you enjoy 👍
It's so nice to see you "chair dancing" when you are feeling a song! I do this all the time, and even get up and dance around the room if I'm loving the beat. This is what music is all about!
Just found your channel and have enjoyed all Toby Keith, Alan Jackson, Charlie Daniels and all the other country stars you have posted. Since you have also gone outside of country I would suggest you check out Gordon Lightfoot's ballad, "The wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald." It's a story of the shipwreck on Lake Superior off of the Michigan and Wisconsin States. It's a real heartbreaker. The ship was one of the largest Great Lakes Freighters and the song is haunting.
You've got to react to BIG BAD JOHN by Geoff Castellucci. This man is an incredible singer and you won't be disappointed. He sings all parts of the song by himself, hence his "clones".
Try Whey Jennings, Waylon's Grandson & Johnny Cash's Grandson singing The Highway Men!! If your eyes are closed, you'd think it was Waylon!! P. S. I definitely agree with Wooly Swamp!! 💯💯
Could you do a video reaction to Jelly Rolls “Save Me “ and “Need a Favor “? I think you will love them! His voice is amazing and his lyrics are heartfelt and touching. Oh, and don’t judge him by the way he looks! He has an incredible life story and has become a favorite of mine. Another great Charlie Daniel’s song is “The legend of wooly swamp”
My groove.. Pullin my Stetson down low. I'm just a longhair country boy.. My Blue Tick "Brewdog" & Goldie "Honey-bee" chilling in the barn with me as I type this 😀
I am a new subscriber. I came across your reaction, an absolute pleasure and plan to watch more both past and present. I see you like story telling, you might try some Bluegrass country music. A good one to start with is "Silver Ghost" by Wildwood valley boys.
Others are saying you should’ve chosen a performance when he was younger. I totally disagree. I think he slayed this performance. R.I.P. Charlie. 💔 You are missed.
I know you like songs that tell a story. I don't know if you are a christian but I know a song that is a true story. "Too Small a Price" by Don Francisco. If you listen and react to it I just ask if you will please shout out to me. I think you will really like it.
@Taylorfamilyreactions I love this song, but this sux! Nothing to do with you!! The words are changed. The best version I've heard, is just an album cover or the one on the porch swing with the grandkids. You'll definitely notice a big difference!!

Love me some CBD!! The band, not the special oil!! 🤣🤣🤣 Wooly Swamp is one, just one, of my favorites!!!
Charlie found religion. He quit drinking and cussing and took all the bad language out of his songs.
Charlie Daniels- Still in Saigon is another great song. It’s about Vietnam.
As someone else said, this performance was when he was older. When you react to another CDB song, you should look for one when they were younger.
OMG, the voice is drowned out by instruments butcits fantastic. I only heard studio version. I love this

Love Charlie! I suggest " Legend of Wooly Swamp" for another CDB reaction
Charlie Daniels is a great singer. One of a kind
Love Charlie Daniels. He was one of a kind.
Please revisit John Denver, with "It's Good to Be Back Home Again." Us Baby Boomers will love hearing it again as it was one of our favorites.

I love the original by jimmy dean too. His voice is so
Warm and unique!

Love Charlie. Such a sweet man and helped veterans a lot. Trudy. The South's Gonna Do It Again are some more great songs by CDB. R.I.P Charlie
If you liked this one try The Devil went down to Georgia, it will make you smile and move.
You simply must check out his best known song, biggest hit THE DEVIL WENT DOWN TO GEORGIA, It will blow your mind
I got to see Charlie in the early 90's, he had the whole crowd whipped up In a frenzy. He was so good! This crowd looks pretty reserved comparing
Excellent performance.
My groove.. Pullin my Stetson down low. I'm just a longhair country boy.. My Blue Tick "Brewdog" & Goldie "Honey-bee" chilling in the barn with me as I type this 😀

Please do listen to Lara Fabien singing Broken Vow you will love it although it is not at all "country" I would love to hear your reaction, thank you.
If you like country rock you should check out Brantley Gilbert. I would suggest Country Must Be Country Wide and You Don't Know Her Like I Do ❤
Great song
Please check out Marty Robbin’s “big iron”. Much appreciated!
The lyrics got toned down when Charlie got older , he was one of a kind
I haven't heard this particular song in quite a while.
Have you ever reacted to The Devil Went to Georgia?
I haven't found it if you did.😊
Could you do Save Me by Jelly Roll if you haven't already ? Thank you...oh never judge a book by it's cover 😊
Oh, darlin', you need to listen to the original! This us nice, but the overall impact is lost. We get calmer and gentler as we age, Charlie included.
How do i go by sending you a music video request?
Johnny Cash (25 mins to go )... lookup to the ones below=humble....HAKAD
Kinda like my blue tick hound like to lay around in the shade .cdb
Could you react too Ferlin Husky Wings of a Dove?
Lyrics were changed from original due to Charlie became a devout Christian
