I was privileged to be standing at the Opera House waiting for her arrival on that big day.
Wasn't dissapointed. Watched her disembark the yacht then walk up the carpet with her family. The atmosphere was electric, looking forward to seeing this flick. 🇦🇺👍
Dont she acts like she it is a grown up idi-ot
I'm 27 now but I remember watching her journey while growing up. What a legend.
she seems stupid and dumb
She is a legend
I wish I knew about this when it happened wasn't big news in the Caribbean. I wish it was
to you whose facing thru a tough times never lose hope keep going, you are doing fine! no matter how slow your progress, each new week is filled with tiny steps forward. be proud of yourself you got this. ☺️
Anodyne list of facile truisms that leave people who are not making progress, and whose new week is filled with illness or exhaustion, and who know they haven’t “got this”… even closer to despair.
You know you can tell who is a bot if they don't say something about the video
I needed this. Seriously.
thank you needed this!
@@eh1702 damn right! Your comment makes me feel better then that cheesy shit 😂
I remember when this happened. It made me stop and think and it really captivated my heart. People can still go on adventures. I guess that’s part of the reason people have kids, so their kids will go do awesome things that they never attempted
I thought this was going to be a light hearted teen Netflix film. I didn't expect it to be deeply inspirational and make me cry several times. I have come away thinking that I can face and overcome challenges in my life. We are so much stronger than we think. I'm so happy I watched this today. A great film to watch with your children with a beautiful message. If anyone is struggling right now watch this film. I now want to read Jessica's book!
Me too had them big lumps in my throat. Didn’t know I was gonna cry. The soundtrack was perfect!!!
Same feeling here.
Same here love this movie
Silly - here is the truth.. men, amazing men, have now built so much safety and autopilot features, and GPS, and satellite phones, and reliable sailboats, that even a kid can sleep comfortably inside a sailboat and be taken around the world. Soon, Tesla will take some young girl around the world (using self driving most of the time) and some anti-male sexist movie director will celebrate her "courage" and "perseverance" etc etc at driving around the world. This is all nonsense. Let her sail a 1930s boat with nothing on it but 1930s stuff, and see how she does. We should celebrate all the great things that men have made for us women that have made this world so amazing and easy to live in. They are the real unsung heroes. Not some white girl living off others and doing nothing of note.
I am 41 yrs, i watch this 2 time and still i will keep on watching it over again. Movies like this. inspiration me alot. Life is one thing, Nothing is impossible, Everything is possible. well done Jessica Watson
I remember this when it really happened. Such a brave young girl!
I remember too.
Seemed like she did it without any mishaps or problems, when she was interviewed. At least not anything she snd others hadn’t been prepared for.
It’s crazy they probably had to make a situation seem like she was more scared than she actually was when it happened, because I remember her having done this with no problems.
Maybe I’m confusing her with someone else.
Yeah I remember. Just wish there was more footage of her journey
@@genie121 You can always watch the 2013 documentary Maidentrip.
Wow. Didn't know it was based off a true story
@@CorbCorbin No I think you're confusing her with someone else because she hadds a crazy time and I can't believe she even survived it
I followed Jessica’s adventure religiously back in 2009/10 and remember watching that hero’s welcome that Australia threw her as she sailed into Sydney with fellow solo circumnavigator Mike Perham on board at docking. Heard for years that a movie was in the works
Jessica?
@@jmasds7710 Jessica Watson
This movie was very inspiring! A kid who could barley read, travled around the whole world by herself! I found out she had an actual channel on RUclips. It was very cool watching her traveling. Just so you know Jess, your greatest adventures are yet to come! ❤🌊
Inspiring, but she should have always failed .was defo a miracle
I love the real clips of the original girl going out to sea at the end of the film, that is incredible at the age of 16 being out there for 210 days!
I'm a 37 year old male living in the UK, and I've watched this movie over 10 times and cried every time! What is wrong with me.
Kids don’t go asking your parents for a sailboat ⛵️ now 😂
That barbie boat looked pretty sweet.
new TikTok trend incoming
But it is fine for frat boy ask his parents for a sports car.
@@mankun31 IDK which takes more privilege to do
@@TheOfficialTarynTots Oh really she got lucky that the ocean showed mercy on her... Alot of ppl died by doing stupid things in the name of breavery infront of camera...
Truly an incredible movie. A story of a girl who dares to achieve something special…
Loved this movie. Beautiful story of a person with a vision and then will to see it through against the odds, both human and physical. Inspiring. Beautifully visualized. Thanks for making it.
I know I'm getting old when Anna Paquin is playing people's mother in a movie
Agreed!!! I remember her as a teen in the first X-men movie...
This trailer just made me cry.
watching this in hospital with sepsis, i will not give up. i will beat this and stay strong
More power to you yasmin. Come back stronger 💪♥️ take care

Today you have and tomorrow you may not have, be thankful for the good that stays with you..! We made it out 😇😊Thanks Netflix to giving to world very unique messages with true stories…!
WHAT A WONDERFUL, UPLIFTING MOVIE ! How a young woman could do this, is an amazing story of courage & tenacity !
I'm gonna cry now of how many times i lose hope,,but right now seeing this i'm gonna do anything to make my dream come true 😢😥😥🙏🙏😊😊
I am so happy they made this movie. I really love sailing life even tho i'm never experience once. Hopeful one day even it just a minute. I remember when this happend. She such a brave young spirit! Legend!
Jessica's 'True Spirit' book was fabulous and can't wait for the movie! Woot woot! ⛵
Such a great cast and she looks so damn close to real Jessica Watson!
Teagan is amazing! She deserves more lead roles! Fly Raven fly!
Agreed! Plus she's an Aussie woop wooh 🇦🇺🤘
I see what you did here
Great movie, better than I expected it to be. God obviously protected her through those storms.
Yes thank u GodBless
I remember this and watched another documentary on it years ago, it was so interesting and shocking! Hopefully this one will be just as good.
Last time Netflix had a documentary called Maidentrip. Also about young circumnavigator.
Yes, Maidentrip! Wasn’t she the youngest girl from Holland? Did this lady beat her record? I loved that movie and forgot the name of it and was never able to go back and find it. It was a beautiful story.
@@nadiaabuisnaineh1779Jessica made the trip nonstop so she yes she was the youngest. The other young lady Laura Dekker docked on land, made appearances, and even flew home throughout her trip. Jessica’s trip for some “technical” reasons (trying to discourage teens from attempting this) wasn’t officially recognised.
Such a tribute to phenomena Miss jessica watson
Very good movie, tears flowing after watching it I watched this movie from Thailand.
Netflix usually make garbage movies with low quality production. However this movie was pretty good ngl 👌🏻 def worth watching
WOW! Just finished watching the movie! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!
Looking forward to watching this one looks good and we love a good true story 🎉
Amazing achievement - true grit. The Netflix production puts a lot of drama for us land huggers... things tossing about in storms that I am sure Jessica would have tied down but it looks good on camera etc for us. I enjoyed the real true videos of Jessica and her blog... they have real footage at the end of the Netflix ....this is not a bad remake of her story, it just makes her less of a sailor at times - I must say at 1 hr 26 I was celebrating and that is long before the end... great footage. I truly hope Jess gets good money from the Netflix film. Having very recently lost her partner Cam age 29yrs she is understandably heartbroken. RIP Cam. I wish Jessica nothing but full sails for the rest of her life. 🙏🙏🙏 She did herself, her age group, females everywhere and her country very proud.
Teagan's performance 👏👏
she was a baby in titans so excited for her future
What a brave young woman !! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 ... i really dont have an idea this story was a TRUE to life, im just like "WWWWWOOOOOOWWWW" im so amazed by you Jessica! 🇵🇭
Such an inspiration! A brave and resilient young lady! Truly amazing! 💕💕💕
This trailer keeps making me cry. It's so inspirational.
(Maybe better suited for a documentary than a movie)
The movie will make you cry more lol. it's a rollercoaster
Cringe weirdos crying over this lmao
This movie will be in my heart forever.
Ah, I can’t wait until the 3rd of February. I want to watch it right away! ❤
Thanks N you have just proven that a nice movie can be made without F words . Without kissing . Without sex scenes. A movie you can watch with the FAMILY.
I love teagan and i think she has so much potential
It‘s a great a story, but you should never forget the supporting family and people around you. Encouraging you and to be there, when you just need to hear a friendly voice…
And not to forget parents who give you a chance to live your dream and not just saying no, because they can or they are just scared…
I don‘t doubt her courage, but especially at a young age you need your family-support…
Jesus loves you he died on the cross for your sins. Believe in him and you will be saved and go to heaven!
just watched the movie its a biopic of jessica watson and is must watch , soooooo inspiring............
Increeible movie, incredible story, increeible person!, my mind is blown after watching this.
Loved every second of this movie ❤️
Thank you for the making this true amazing inspirational story into a movie, didn't know about this until now, and am grateful to know such and see such truthful inspiration.
A rare good movie by Netflix - they get a gold star.
I will definitely be watching this one!!!!!♡!!!!!!
This is one of the most inspiring movie I really like it. Hope my kids can learn something from that.
She was/is one brave woman.
Yes, she is!
Stunning and brave
Whenever I'm feeling demotivated I come back to this trailer or even rewatch the movie because it motivates me and inspires me again🔥
will def watch it!
The fact that pink ( her boot ) submerged and later on float. Truly miracle 🙏, an inspirational story of Jessica watson
Did waves cover Pink? Yes. Did the boat roll over? Did the mask hit the water multiple times? Don't know. Only Jessica was there. Did an alarm go off? Probably. Did the family think she had drowned? Did the family cry? Surely yes. If the waves were 50, 60, or 70 feet...the sensors might have thought she was 15 feet under at one point.
I think the boat being underwater was more telling what the family thought had happened.
@americanswan Jessica literally helped in this movie and it's based on her book, so I dare say if they showed it, it's what happened to her, not what her family assumed happened to her.
@@ashleighlister3248 She did, and I also saw what Jessica said about that scene.
Looks amazing. Can't wait to watch
Torn between continued anger at Netflix for canceling Warrior Nun before S2 even premiered and thanking then for making something this beautiful.
She is one of the most amazing young person i have seen. I hope the film will do the justice.
One of the best movie on true story.....👍should watch it
Guys this is based on a *True story* 2010 16 year old Jessica Watson survived 7 knockdowns and survived 15 foot under water, in sea for 210days.

So refreshing to see Anna Paquin NOT in a Hollywood/American mainstream production. Would love to see her act in Australian/New Zealand period pieces.

NOW these are the movies i love. i felt God speaking to me through this trailer. it has been such a tough time lately, it feels like im in a desert, facing a storm. I love when she said your true character is revealed when things are bad, something along those lines...it is true. I pray everyone struggling right now knows you are strong, and im so happy you are alive.
LOL
Stay strong 💪
Looks amazing!
Vow!Beautiful Jessica Watson

The guy playing Caesar in Spartacus is in this! So glad he's getting more roles
Hahahah im realized ..its was really him 🤣🤣😄
When survival is guided by the soul, then the survivor must win.
Nice theory. Too bad there's no such thing as a soul. :)
Unfortunately that's not how natural selection works. We all want to survive. That's any living organism's most basic instinct except maybe reproduction. But not everyone does. That's just the way the world works. Humans just forget that because we've separated ourselves from the environment with cities and modern society.
I just finished watching it. 👍🏻
Filme sensacional. !!
Muy buena película. entretenida y emocionante
i cant surely compare going to everest alone or this. ridiculously heart and mind-altering
Everest alone would be wayyyy harder than what she did
Having been a Rtw sailor on Clipper,be fun to watch this
Sounds like a good story to know what this looks. It's just like perfect storm.
i of a looking t getting better and better every time i watch them.
If you haven’t seen “All is Lost” with Robert Redford, check it out, similar theme as this. That film was great imo, not much dialogue which was good, you felt the “being alone” setting.
When she did this years ago i showed a footy team a video i made up about her courage and mental strength and it didn't really sink in for them but i bet it would now after this movie.
I love this movie it's beautiful
