Today mark's the tragic anniversary, of President John F. Kennedys, assasination. I still remember, that day. Do you? But how quickly, some forget. Babbyboomers still with us, lived through this very sad moment into Thanksgiving 1963, while others have passed, on. Already it's been 23 years since 911, and the memory appears to have faded, with incoming generations. How about the insurrection, on January 6th, 2020. Memory and recall are critical to avoid dangerous repetitions in history, like attempts to destroy, Democracy. The constitution lives through us, and must constantly be reinforced, to our children, and theirs. Never forget that.
I was a high school freshman. My immediate and extended family all adored JFK. We also watched, in horror, the assassination of Lee Oswald on my sister’s birthday. It was a tragic week which included the emotional procession in DC.
America never recovered from the events of that fateful day. Our innocence was shattered, our belief in accepted norms vanished, and our sense of wonder was extinguished. The angst is still palpable all these years on. And here we are, 61 years later, fighting to salvage our democracy. How far we've fallen. I wonder if we'll ever get up. RIP JFK.
Yeah, assuring voting rights for all Americans, providing equal educational opportunities and not allowing our fellow Americans to starve ruined America. What an idiotic post. Actually, that was the last time America was great. We’ve gone significantly backward since then. Now, Americans’ Idiocracy has elected a convicted tax, insurance and bank fraud felon who blatantly mocks our military, is openly misogynistic, homophobic, xenophobic and demonstrably addled by dementia.
That is NOT cute. It is sickening that a young boy was saluting his father's casket. His father had just been shot to death. AND this was occurring on the boy's third birthday. Your choice of the word "cute" is horrible and in poor taste.

Agreed. Trust in government began to erode that day and in the aftermath with the Warren Report.
I remember I was 13 RIP CAMELOT KING
RIP JFK
I lived in Dallas at this time and watched in on tv. My teacher was Ms Elliott. I was in second grade.
Cant wait til President Trump releases those documents
There are so many we can't really read them all!
You mean the promise from 2016 or the latest one? For whatever reason, he held many documents back in 2017.
I doubt if that will happen.
@@omnimediaassociatesllc7984 Either or
He wont
Why didn't they continue on main street instead of the stupid right then left turn onto what REALLY was A Nightmare On Elm Street ???
Wow LBJ ruined America that quickly? I wasn't even born in the 60's.
