if you will pay attention you can see at the beginning of the full episode that our storyline Rick's (C-137) Jerry ticket is 5126 and that at the end, our Rick (C-137) asks the Rick we saw this episode if their Jerry is 5126 which indicates that the Rick and Morty we saw this episode is not our storyline Rick and Morty
Morty's actions are not hypocritical. He learned something. He started out naive and thought that just saving for the act of saving was good but when his act of saving ended in potential Global extinction, he knew what he had end the gas's life
Major metal gear vibes from him They should have brought him back. Like Mr PBH, Bird person and Squnchy he felt like a character that was more than a one off.
To be fair, Morty stood by his convictions. That's why Fart didn't sense the betrayal even though he's telepathic. Morty sacrificed a life to save many more. It would've been hypocritical to let Fart go. Many people would've just stayed ride or die with Fart because they wouldn't want to admit everything they'd just gone through was for nothing. As messed up as it was, this was one of the more admirable moments for Morty IMO.
Morty is still an awful person though. I mean, he disfigured Ethan just for breaking up with Summer. He's also so obsessed with Jessica that he basically stripped her of her free will in hopes of getting to have sex with her.
@@vetarlittorf1807 I give him a pretty big pass since he's a child and has probably the worst role model in fiction or real life. I doubt there's a single person who would turn out as a good person with Rick as their role model. There's a reason inflicting trauma on a child is seen as one of the most vile crimes in society. The harm isn't temporary and can often warp their future. Morty is already becoming a nihilist after they leave Cronenberg Earth. Rick is Dr. Frankenstein and Morty is his monster.
@@Mant1s_Toboggan_MD Actually, Rick had no impact on Morty's upbringing. It's implied in the first episode that he only recently gotten involved in Morty's life. So Morty has no excuse for making an innocent girl his sex slave and disfiguring a boy for breaking up with Summer.
@@vetarlittorf1807 Not really. He'd already made Morty miss an entire year of school by the first episode. A year is a long time to spend with a role model for anyone, especially a kid, and especially with someone who values life as little as Rick. And again, he's a child. It's Rick's responsibility as the adult to say NO to Morty and explain why giving someone a love potion is a bad thing. Kids are allowed to make mistakes and want things they shouldn't. It's up to the adults to help them not repeat mistakes and understand why the thing they want isn't good. That's what being a responsible role model means. I wouldn't expect a child to understand the ramifications of giving someone a love potion regarding bodily autonomy, consent, and boundaries. These things have to be taught.
I never actually noticed how Morty surprises Fart. Before Morty asks him to sing he said he still sensed Morty believed life had to be protected through sacrifice, he just didn't look any deeper to see what kind of sacrifice Morty was planning.
Not hypocritical, traumatic. Morty wanted to save Fart when he thought that Fart was a victim displaced from his home. Once he learned that Fart intended to return with others of his kind to wipe out all life in that section of the universe, things changed. Fart became a danger in Morty's mind, instead of a victim. A danger that he couldn't allow to leave and then return. Everything that happened that day, all of the lives lost because Morty wanted to save Fart, were all lives lost without meaning except to teach Morty to not jump into situations half-assedly and without understanding. Keep this in mind, this wasn't Morty being a hypocrite, this was Morty making a mistake, and having the deal with some of the consequences of that mistake. Make sure to pay attention to Morty's demeanor from here on, and whenever something like this happens again, because actions have consequences, and Morty will grow from this. This is important to keep in mind for Rick, too.
Here's an interesting thought exercise: What if someone were to make a unique "daycare" just for you? What would you want it to be like? What would you need to keep yourself safe and entertained for at least 8 hours? Would you want a costumed character version of your significant other, there to give hugs and take selfies with?
Don my man morty didnt enjoy doing the thing he did at the end either. he saw that if he didnt then all of life as we(humans) know it would be wiped away. that's the thing with lessons sometimes you learn them and get nothing in return but the wisdom to do better next time.
The Rick and Morty we watched with fart in this episode wasn’t the same ones that dropped off Jerry, if I remember correctly. They were from a alternate universe, our Rick and Morty are C137.
Do you really think it would've made more sense for Morty to let all carbon-based life in the universe get murdered than to stop one Fart? You compared it to some hypocritical people you know, but I think I prefer those hypocritical people then, lol. You gotta be somewhat utilitarian sometimes, categorical imperatives never work in physical reality!

Yoooo not the gas thing calling Morty out for having a footfetish
10:55 » her eyes slowly following him coming back sad as hell 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 // always gets me 🤣🤣🤣
I wouldn't call morty a hypocrite. Those others killed because they wanted to but he killed because he had to. He very clearly didn't want to kill
The jessicas feet part was fart reading mortys thoughts he was thinking about her feet so many people miss that lol

Goodbye moonmen is a pretty good song 😂 it’s even on Spotify 😂😂
When they say "My farts are deadly" and they mean it.
5:40 Well Morty didn't really want him dead - it was an accident that the car went straight into him. It was more naive than hypocritical.

if morty didn’t kill it, it would’ve came back and clap earth💀
Eh just one of the Earth's. Unless it's capable of interdimensional travel.
They were not gearhead's nuts. They were his bolts. 😜
its his gearsticles, clearly fake rick and morty fan
it is a good show to smoke to bro :) especially the first time you see it. cheers for the reactions to r&m
The one where all ricks program each other and go to kill each other is way more mind fu*cking than this
Please turn the volume of Rick and Morty up a bit
My bad
All good :), enjoying your reactions a lot
7:28 » now you already listened to this ep's music, check for Flight of The Conchords, they have really funny songs 😂😂😅
Moon man is an odd song but dope either way
you should turn up the volume of rick and morty cuz it's hard to hear sometimes
When I did Shrooms I watched this exact episode
Morty is a black pot talking sh#t to the kettles in this episode
I was gonna say, the Jerry’s could of left whenever they wanted but chose to stay in that daycare place for a reason.
like rick said, Jerrys dont tend to last long off of earth. This place is probably safer than their own home.
Weed don't do that to you or I'm guessing there would be a lot less takers 😂
is it bad that Beth and Jerry remind me of my parents?..
