Amazing, isn't it? ❤️ They still hold the record of the highest televote percentage in the history of Eurovision. And yet they didn't win... 😩 And that is why Grande Amore is considered one of the biggest robberies (if not THE biggest) of Eurovision to date.
@@ericligi9091 Yeah 😔 and for motives that weren't exclusively music-related... So this means this new record will forever belong to Ukraine until the rest of our days because - let's be honest - we all know 93% of televotes is virtually impossible to beat. Unless a similar situation occurs again in the coming years - hopefully not - that will have people voting for reasons other than those music-related.

This song got the most points ever from the Televote (the public) at the time. However, it didn't come first because the Jury apparently didn't like it as much. I don't know why the jury didn't like it?! It was vocally a masterpiece which is something they normally judge a live performance of a song on! In theory, THIS should have won, but it didn't...
The juries listen to it on a different night and apparantly on the night they listened to it one of the guys was badly off key at the start - don't know which of them it was - but I remember reading some of the Eurovision bloggers saying that it could cost them points.
Should add that it's one of my favourite songs and I would have been thrilled if they had won.

They won all the televoters, but it was such a difficult year, with so many good songs. Italy 🇮🇹 although definately deserved to win 🎶 and I still dont comprehend how the Juries didnt give them Max points. Il Volo is now touring the world. They started in 2009 and are great tenors all 3 and very funny too ( if you understand 🇮🇹 that is. Im danish 🇩🇰 but speak several languages, amongst them 🇮🇹 and so I get to enjoy all their great artists and songs. I love Il Volo ❤️

I have to correct you on that 1 this is theatre in Austria not in Germany Austria was the previous winner of 2014 so basically Austria was the host and Italy those 3 singers in one group
I like your reactions. By the way they where the winners of the televote in 2015. They are IL VOLO and they sing with Barbara Streisand for example.
Italy has always been a country with wonderful melodic voices
Ornella Vanoni, Mina Gigliola Cinquetti, Mia Martini, but also of different excellent musical styles, perhaps many products that cannot be exported because they are not sung in English. Now that Maneskin are making a success, let's not forget Vasco Rossi's great productions and "rock" voices and Gianna Nannini, who I would like to see how I react - thank you❤️

Although i loved Mans Zemelows 'Heros' in honesty this should have won. They said thank you in German because the contest that year was held in Austria whose main language is German

No, these guys are alive, and healthy. You mixed them up with IL Divo, a group of older singers, one member, Carlos, passed away. Il Volo singers are younger, now in their 20s only, and have started singing together 13 years ago. They are now more matured, the voices more magical, love them 🥰
