      Tbh I've become so fascinated with this 68 El Camino so much that I think it might be in for a bit of rivalry with the 69 Charger "General Lee" for who is more badass.

    1968 was a recession year. Their are not to many 68 models around. Watching that El Camino going over a cliff would have ruined my day.

    Unlike the oversized, ugly monster trucks of today, El Caminos were good looking, could still haul a half ton of goods, rode nicer than any thing built now, and with the right engine, hauled rump. If Chevy came up with an updated version, they could sell a zillion of these.

    • @NorthStarBlue1
      @NorthStarBlue1 Год назад +3

      GM were planning to import some similar vehicles from their Australian brand Holden in the mid 2000's and badge them as Pontiacs, but the relatively flat sales of the rebadged GTO (actually a Holden Commodore) and Pontiac's decline in general scrapped those plans. Which is a shame, as the light truck market had been abandoned in favor of luxury-barge SUVs around that time and they would have definitely found a market for them here.
