Exactly! Sennheiser still supporting customers after so many decades is just amazing. Glad to hear you also enjoyed how they sound 🎶 I have them always on my desktop, ready for a good session.
I bought the parts to build a set of HD 414s to replace the pair stolen from me back in the 70s. I've got extra cushions and use disposable covers over them. I always thought they were the best studio cans because you could hear people who were off-mike, so you didn't have to take them on and off all the time.
I find it kind of hilarious that all these high end wireless headphones will be useless after a few years due to battery/chip failure which will probably be very expensive to repair while Sennheiser's from the 1990s still work flawlessly to this day.
I found the original hd 141 he 420 at local thrift shop last year . Great for acoustic music and live recordings. you forgot to mention another legendary model the HD 25 The first headphone that was considered the most stolen headphone in airplanes
Good story. Sennheiser cut down their products range these years, open-back goes to Hi-Fi oriented, close-back goes to on-the-go. Only Koss is still making light weight open-back headphones. HD414 is made of flexible and durable plastic, same as HD25.
It's amazing that Sennheiser still sells replacement parts for their first headphones, now that good customer support
Please make more videos if you can! Your style is very enjoyable and the information you share much entertaining!
I still own my HD414 headphones, bought in 1980. I changed the sponges two times. They still respond perfectly. I will keep them forever.

Haha that's true. The HD 25 deserves a whole new video. Cheers!

What happened to the takeover?
The acquisition was made in 2021. We have to wait and see whether they'll be successful or not.
Soy el único q habla español aquí?
No ✌🏻
The 414sl replacement were awful. Too warm, closed in sound and very insensitive. Worst phones I ever owned.
