Does anyone else remember the skateboard lizard part being impossible? I almost forgot about it until watching this and remembering that part filling my little body with pure unadulterated rage
i could never get past the chasing part on Molten Crater, i spent hours trying to do the turbo and press the button to breathe fire at the same time whilst trying to get close enough
Every single world invokes such nostalgia that I completely forgot about. And shout out to the music in this game. Next level. So many good memories that make me long for my childhood again
Once you complete the game 120%, the game sucks, the thieves disappears and you will never get the chance to chase them again, and also the skateboarding racings disappears, replaying the game is super boring
Worst game between the trilogy, even worse than enter the dragonfly, i really hate the fact that the thieves disappears when i catch them and never get the chance to chase them again when i replay the levels!!! Also the skateboarding racings disappears when i win!!! Replaying the game is like playing in a desert, i feel everything is empty, unlike spyro 1, at least the thieves doesn't disappear!!! I love chasing the thieves, why do they disappear when i catch them? i hate spyro 3 because of these reasons
I never got to play 2 but i completed 1 and 3. Im just amazed how percistent I've been. Without knowing any english or anybody helping at all completing these games was surely difficult.
I loved this game to death as a kid. I played it in 2000 on our original PS1 when we lived in the Bronx NYC and I was in Kindergarten. I remember daydreaming about this game in class. Then we moved upstate NY, and I brought this game on long car rides down to the city with me in my little purse in the 2000’s. When we got the PS2, I still played this in the 2000’s on our PS2 because of the PS2 Backwards compatibility. My older Brother would buy Tony Hawk Skateboard Games for PS2. Those would often break. The main one he always kept rebuying was Tony Hawk Underground. When that couldn’t be played, he played Spyro 3, the Skateboard levels. I kind of miss hanging out with him. Watching him play these games all day. He got married and is about to have his first child now. So a lot is not the same anymore.
things may be different now, but as long as you're both alive and in good relationship, there's still chance to reminisce with him🙂 maybe when his child's a little older you can play Spyro with them too 😊
im gonna cry man i used to play it with my old bro it was good days i swear i can feel that nostalgic days when he had to start again cause we didnt have that thing to save it hahahahha what a days we used to lived in
Stop visiting this and visit your grandma! She's probably BORED TO DEATH at the nursing home so GOOO play BINGO with her and make her SMILE you little selfish @zz
I've played all three PS1 games, and this is the one I can still come back to and enjoy. The major improvements made to the control, level design, progression structure, main-to-side content ratio, and length justification is unreal.
Watched your trilogy playthrough until the very end man. I have to say I never got to know as a kid how the evil witch finally met her end after she survived the final battle. Actually going through the final credits and reading the old Insomniac team thanking us for playing they’re trilogy of 4 sleepless years in development, seeing the very final message of the codex thanking us for playing, saying they’ll miss us at 7:39:52. It feels like the child inside me got to peer through and finally see what came of it all, knowing that “We’ll miss you” really meant something. The closing to an era that stays with all of us. Thanks for showing your gameplay with all of us ❤
So nostalgic 😩 My favorite game out of the trilogy & I appreciate you completing the game in order & talking to all the characters.. it’s the epilogue for me.. we’ll miss you 🥺 ugh
Thank you for posting this, it was my favourite game on PS1. I played the reignited version recently but nothing compares to the original Spyro games. Just watching this video im able to bring back happy memoriee from over 20 years ago, i can't believe it's been so long
Just the intro song itself makes me so happy. I havent felt this way since i was a kid. Been watching this whole video probably 5 times a year since it came out and it brings me so many types of memories and it really makes me happy. I am 18 years old right now i wish i could go back to my childhood. Playing this on the ps1 and just drafting away from all problems and my abusive family and just feal i bit of pure joy again. Growing up wasnt as fun as I first thought its now ive relised this era was the best of my life and I would do anything to get back here again. The only thing i have left are pictures and memories and my only childhood friend. ill forever love and remember this one game ❤️ Thank you for reading and please have a Nice Day

When I was a little kid, I was lay on the couch and eat snacks and watch my brother play Spyro on our play station. It was the best memories of my life. Watching this actually got me high on nostalgia
relatable, tho it wasn't 100% perfect either. We just don't remember all the details. Nostalgia is a sweet liar. Joy might not feel exactly the same as one ages, but we can still have it, without looking to the past, and it can be as nice as back then, even if different 😄
I love how despite everything he's done since the end of Spyro 2, Spyro still displays concern for Moneybags as the other characters beat the shit out of him (Most notably Sheila and Bentley).
this was the first game i ever played. I hopped on my dad's old ps2 and take turns playing the skateboard level with my older sister. It's been years since I've seen this, thank you for the upload.
I was 6 when this came out, got it for Christmas right after it came out as my first videogame :) I spent so many hours just wandering the levels after beating the game, just awe struck by how cool everything looked and how amazing the music was. To this day I still hum these kick-ass beats when I cook.
Aah yes another Spyro classic! 😌🎮 I would play this and Ripto’s Rage early in the mornings at weekends when I was little before my parents got up. They would get mad since I wouldn’t eat breakfast unless I finished the first boss fight. I remember that still. Good days 👏🏼
its crazy how much this makes me feel just going back and re-watching, the way that this game made me feel, the feeling of exploring all these levels and some of the game being too complex for my young brain at the time. how beautiful. games nowadays don't have this sincerity towards story and level development. online gaming largely ruined this feeling.
I used to be ADDICTED to this game, When I first got it I didn't have a PS1 memory card so I left my PS1 on so I didn't have to save 😂, The a few days later my mama turned it off and I literally cried so she bought me my forst PS1 memory card!
The style and the looks of any levels was something else! Any levels is a world itself with atmosphere, color pelettes, enemies…..my favorite was: Desert ruins (with also the underwater level with the Manta ray) The Bamboo Terrace Frozen Altars Firework Factory Seashell shore
Did anyone else’s game used to freeze sometimes when traveling through a portal? 😄 Spyro would get stuck flying in the air and I’d have to turn off the PlayStation.
This game had some familiar voices: Spyro and Sgt. Byrd were voiced by Tom Kenny, the guy behind SpongeBob and The Mayor in The Powerpuff Girls. Hunter was voiced by Gregg Berger, who did the voices for Odie in Garfield, Grimlock in Transformers and The Gromble in Aaahh!! Real Monsters. Moneybags and Bentley were voiced by Neil Ross, the man who did Bonecrusher and several others in Transformers. Bianca was voiced by Pamela Hayden, who is a Simpsons regular that voices Milhouse and Jimbo. Zoe was voiced by Carolyn Lawrence, who is known for playing Sandy Cheeks in SpongeBob SquarePants.
This was the one Spyro game in the trilogy that I never got to play much of. The last time I visited my dad at his house when I was twelve I had gotten far enough to where I had almost beaten the first boss when my sister went downstairs for a glass of water and our grandmother got pissed to find out that we were visiting so our dad had to take us back to the orphanage. And I only got to visit him a few more times before I got estranged from him for several years in an abusive foster home but then I got to live with him again when I was 21 and I got to play this game again but I still didn’t get to play it much before his PlayStation broke down... or maybe it was his TV that stopped working...
@@beargrylls6135Oh I am but my twin sister sadly is under conservatorship and not allowed to contact me. after a long time to find this, i'm so proud and so happy. i played this game but only on some stages that i remember, the first was the shark robot boss and escorting the glasses insect character. it's the best game nostalgia for me, finally can watch this till the end 😍

I love this game so much. It was something my grandfather would like to watch me and my aunt play whenever there was an argument with other family members
I'm addicted to this game! The progression system is addictive, with a constant sense of reward and accomplishment. The gameplay is fast-paced and action-packed, with intense battles and epic boss fights. The visuals are stunning, and the soundtrack is epic. I'm blown away by the level of customization in this game. From character creation to weapon upgrades, there are endless possibilities to personalize your playstyle. The combat is fluid and satisfying, with a wide range of skills and abilities to master. The game offers a deep and rewarding experience. Highly recommended!
I never learned how to hover, so never got into that cave 😭 But in retrospect, I think this game is why I love roaming games to this day, just exploring and getting lost.
Playing the Spyro trilogy remake with my kids currently. This was my favorite Spyro. I played this 20 years ago with my cousins and grandma for years. I’ll always cherish those memories
Had a weird dream the other night that I unlocked a fifth new playable character in the game. Her name was Esther and she was totally hidden (ie not mentioned in the game, packing or manual) until after you'd beaten the Sorceress' Lair. She was a bipedal jackal with a big rod she could use to hit enemies. She didn't have her own level like the other four and was only available in Cloudy Spires, Icy Peak and Lost Fleet. In Cloud Spires she had to shelter one of the Weather Imps from a tornado. In Icy Peak she had to destroy a Rhynoc ice fortress, and in Lost Fleet she had to kickbox with a big wolf! Music was the same as Bentley's Outpost.
This was one of my most favorite games as a kid. I owned this one and the first one, never had riptos rage and didn't know about it till I got the reignited trilogy. I kinda wished with the reignited trilogy there was an option to play the game with the old graphics and voice acting, I think it would have been fun to see.
I hate spyro 3 because the thieves disappears when i catch them, you will never get the chance to chase them again when you replay the levels, and also the skateboarding racings disappears when you win
the desert world is a huge reference to tomb raider specifically the 4th one and then haunted tomb including the area with Agent 9 is a huge reference to gauntlet dark legacy's Desert realm
For me it was over 19 years ago :D Funny how I still remember some parts so clearly. The boxing, robbing all the gems back from moneybag, skating, and the part with that flying little dude stuck with me clearer than I though. This brought back so many memories lol.
What I'd do to go back in time, 10 years old and playing this for the first time again. The feeling was indescribable, not a care in the world and no stress, only stress i had to worry about was finding all the eggs!
Oh man, the Sasquatch Six and the hover-boards. You made it look easy, but the janky controls with jump/flip inputs can make it a pain if you mis-time a single bit and have a spill - well played!
i remember i never truly finished this game. i had collected all the gems i could find. there was this one level where i simply couldn’t get to these gems that were on the building on the roof or something i remember crying because i was never able to find out a way to get to them.
I never got the eggs from a tank level (if i remember correctly) so I never got to play the last stage. We lost the memory card so after that I kinda just gave up and never played it again.
I dont know if its the same level youre talkin about but just today I struggled to find the last gem on Crystal Islands but after plenty of flight power abuse finally found it on top of one of the dark yellow structures.

I was good at the skateboard challenges but the racing ones I sucked at for a long time I finally learned that the turbo comes from doing tricks lol.

Still the best Spyro game to date. I've replayed it twenty times, and I've still yet to grow sick of it.
My personal favorite as well.

its just like i feel that i played it yesterday but it was 2011 OR 2012 my last time played this childhood game how can i sleep today 😪
Playing the Spyro trilogy remake with my kids currently. This was my favorite Spyro. I played this 20 years ago with my cousins and grandma for years. I’ll always cherish those memories
This was my childhood favorite of all time 100%
Nostalgia level: Over 9000 dawg. 😰
1:38:10 I love that Gabrielle has a real French accent and not just someone imitating the French accent
some of the baby dragons in this game is super adorable!!
This game may been released a year before I was born but this game was part of my childhood
Music was the same as Bentley's Outpost.
dang that would've been cool!
Oh god 😢 miss that days
Thx bro, i enjoying this game. You bring back my childhood
nostalgic:(
Absolute :U
This was one of my most favorite games as a kid. I owned this one and the first one, never had riptos rage and didn't know about it till I got the reignited trilogy. I kinda wished with the reignited trilogy there was an option to play the game with the old graphics and voice acting, I think it would have been fun to see.
It is the best Spyro game but still don’t understand why didn’t isomomiac have Spyro and the sorceress interact
@@Cousinbiddy1 yeah I don't know either, it would have been pretty cool to see the two of them meet in various parts of the story
@@atomicghost775 no I’m talking about them interacting at the end before the fight not various parts
@@Cousinbiddy1 ahhh okay, I got you
I hate spyro 3 because the thieves disappears when i catch them, you will never get the chance to chase them again when you replay the levels, and also the skateboarding racings disappears when you win
Great to watch someone with the same perfectionist playing style as me, very enjoyable to watch and good for the OCD! haha
7:28:07
Those ending Credits still slap.
😭💔
the desert world is a huge reference to tomb raider specifically the 4th one and then haunted tomb including the area with Agent 9 is a huge reference to gauntlet dark legacy's Desert realm
thank you for making this
Just came for the memories and oh the music….! 😊 🐉
awesome now I can have all the nostalgia without the glitches
what was your favourite world? i thought crystal islands was the prettiest, but i had the most fun playing the charmed ridge levels
1:42:10 where did that goose honk come from?!
35:30 I REMEMBER THIS PART SO WELL, IT WAS LIKE 10 YEARS AGO 😭
For me it was over 19 years ago :D Funny how I still remember some parts so clearly. The boxing, robbing all the gems back from moneybag, skating, and the part with that flying little dude stuck with me clearer than I though. This brought back so many memories lol.
my entire childhood :')
Horror movie creaky door sound is 80% of my memory of this game
I’ve noticed a lot of these old games are very fun and but subliminal. I love this game so much
What do you mean by "subliminal"
Can you explain what do you mean by subliminal?
I always loved the graphics in the og spyro trilogy. So strange and surreal, almost dreamlike.
Very confident with your charge there bro!
What I'd do to go back in time, 10 years old and playing this for the first time again. The feeling was indescribable, not a care in the world and no stress, only stress i had to worry about was finding all the eggs!
Bentleys outpost music was hands down the best 🤧🔥
Oh man, the Sasquatch Six and the hover-boards. You made it look easy, but the janky controls with jump/flip inputs can make it a pain if you mis-time a single bit and have a spill - well played!
Great game miss my childhood 😩
My childhood :')
Spyro and crash bandicoot the top two games 😭🥹 nostalgia like a mf
What a memorable game still remember the like yesterday 😅
Icy peak has the best soundtrack imo. Been stuck in my mind since I was 5 years old.
i remember i never truly finished this game. i had collected all the gems i could find. there was this one level where i simply couldn’t get to these gems that were on the building on the roof or something i remember crying because i was never able to find out a way to get to them.
I never got the eggs from a tank level (if i remember correctly) so I never got to play the last stage. We lost the memory card so after that I kinda just gave up and never played it again.
oof.. same
I dont know if its the same level youre talkin about but just today I struggled to find the last gem on Crystal Islands but after plenty of flight power abuse finally found it on top of one of the dark yellow structures.
U need to buy the game and finish it yoloromo101
