Before my dad passed away in 2005 he wanted to go and play some slots I took him to Mountaineer and they had penny slots he had a bucket full of pennies and all he did was sit there and play he was never so happy❤😊
Many years ago, I used to play coin slots with my grandmother and mom. Our money lasted longer because it took longer to pay for the next spin. After we finished with our buckets, our hands would be so dirty from the coins. This brings back a lot of memories, thanks for sharing JJ.
I love this! When I first started playing slots in the 80s it was all coins. One time I had to meet my parents for dinner and brought my bucket of quarters to dinner 😂. Another time I had to meet my husband. Won a couple hundred. Needed an attendant to help me carry 4 buckets of quarters to the cashier. Fun times. 🤑
I heard El Cortez has coin slot machines so i plan to visit, hopefully in late June. And Circus Circus is now on my list to play their coin slot machines. I love the nostalgia and miss the old days. I wonder which has better odds coin operated or the regular voucher operated slots we're used to? I'm so wxcited to test that theory!! Thanks for the awesome content. Take care! 🤠😊
@@theresaguzman9741hi there, so did you go to Circus Circus to play the coin machines? Any luck? I'll be going this weekend. Can't wait to try the machines there! 😉
@theresal.525 I did go to Circus-Circus. I won 3 jackpots playing Dragon link penny slots. I hadn't been there in 30+ years. Oh my, it's changed a lot. Very nice casino & cool layout. Sadly, I did not get a chance to look for the coin slots room. But, I will next time. Since, I'll be in Vegas on the 1st week of July. By the way, best of luck on your trip to LV 👍
I am aging myself, but I remember the days of coin operated and walking around with buckets of coins to cash in. Have fun everyone should experience the coin machines at some point. This was fun to watch! Brought back some good memories of playing coin machines and Slots of Fun!🪙🪙🪙🪙
Just found your channel a couple hrs ago. This video just brought back all the memories. I moved to Vegas 2 months after turning 21. It was only coin machines then. Every casino, they all had their own unique buckets. I would go to the cashier and get 10 rolls of nickels or 10 of quarters and get my change bucket and walk around. I mostly played video poker. All the old ladies wore white gloves to play to keep their hands from turning black 😂. I hadnt lived their a month yet, my ex got home from work and I had $400 in quarters stacked all on our coffee table. He said where have you been? I was home without a car. I walked next door to 7-11 and they had machines there and I won 409 bucks in quarters. I brought it home. He said why didn't you just cash it out? I had no clue you could cash out like that somewhere that wasnt a casino 😂 he had a good laugh at me. The grocery store even had machines. Lived there 3 yrs. He worked construction and helped build Las Vegas motor speedway, Belagio, and several others. We did a side job and built a block fence for Sigfried and Roy when they got new baby white tigers. I worked for Hospice. And we played lots of hold em and 7 card stud at the Horseshoe and Treasure Island. And I did private care for Bertie Gaughan wife of Jackie Gaughan. They owned the El Cortez and lived on the 15th floor. Also owned Union Plaza and the Western. Back then, the Western was the only casino in town with penny slots. This was 94 thru 97. Thanks for the memories, you have a new Subscriber
That was a great story! Thanks for sharing! Welcome to the Jackpot Judo family. You’re gonna love this channel. JJ is an awesome guy not to mention a lucky guy. He knows how to pick those machines.
Mama would come home with a bucket of quarters and silver dollars - we could just grab coins for the ice cream truck when it drove through the neighborhood. To be a kid again. Such a simple childhood. I’ll definitely be hitting Circus Circus when I go to Vegas in September for my birthday - and I’m a grown woman now!!! 🥳 🎂🎉
I love that you did this old school clip. The first machines I played on years ago were the coin machines. The struggle was real…everyone carrying around buckets 😂. I’ll be in Vegas in a couple of weeks and I’ll be going to Circus Circus just for nostalgia!!! Of course I’ll bring the latex gloves (learned that a long time ago). 😉
Great video! Great production on this one. And the light level made those machines pop. Looks like you had a great time. Thanks for sharing. I like those machines. I visit a casino on the Boulder strip that has a coin dispensing machine like that, but my wife and I didn't know it did that until she won a huge line hit and the noise of all the coins was startling. What a pleasant surprise.
I just came here to say…. THANK YOUUUU! I’ve been watching your videos for a while now and this weekend I was in Vegas. I have never won a hand pay out, ever! Today I won $1,800 by following your tips, tricks and methods. God bless you!🙏🏼🥳🙌🏼
When we first started gambling, Everything was coin. Not pennies though. And I'm not that old, so I'm not sure why our casino did not have penny slots-But they did have nickel, dime, quarter, and dollar machines. I was going to say watch watch how black your fingers get-coins are filthy. Playing quarters and dollars, We would often have big wins & there never seemed to be extra buckets. So for the dollars especially I remember grabbing empty waste baskets & filling those waste baskets and carrying those to the cashier, they were heavy! It's a novelty now- coin slots--But I'm glad because the worst part of the whole thing is just how often the machines ran out of coin, and you had to sit there and wait Because so many machines were running out of coins all the time. It was a real pain.
Ohhh....I remember when the casinos first came to Lake Charles. The buckets of quarters.....and the black hands afterwards. I could tell you were having fun, but I'm glad it's all paper money or tickets now! Thanks for the content!
This awesome! I’m glad you found a coin machine. I’m taking my mom there for Mother’s Day weekend, she’s 93, still enjoys her slot machines and poker machines!
Showed this to my parents. They both got a kick out of it. They were like hey, I miss those slots lol. Congrats on the wins & thank you for another great video, JJ.
Great fun vid of coin machines ! 😃 Reminded me of the time I was leaving a Casino off Freemont St . Threw my last .25 in the BIG machine on my way out the door . As I walked thru the doors I heard the ding ding ding . I turned around & the coins were flying out of the machine . I can't tell U how much I won as my sister cme running over & taking bucket after bucket of coins . I stayed & played a few hours there & then cashed in the leftt over buckets = just under a $1,000.00. Can U imagine if I had max bet on that ? 😳
Ginger sitting back home watching you run around with your pot of gold like a real leprechaun 😂 imagine the ginger in his leprechaun suit with a big bucket of coins lol
I was in the coin operated amusements business for over 30 yrs and hearing & seeing those tokens clanking in the trough brought back a lot of memories! Hope it was fun for you!
I played in New Zealand. Hit a jackpot that filled 5 of their buckets on my first day. Lady next to me was nice enough to get the buckets when it started raining coins. We were laughing hard as they were falling out by the time she got back. Also helped me carry them to cash out. Forgot what I cash out at the airport. it was in the late 90's. A great trip.
My mom loved going to Vegas and coming back home to Minnesota with all her heavy buckets of quarters. Those were her quarters for cigarettes for many months after that. Fun to see and hear these being played again!
This was fabulous! I will have to take my husband here for some coin dropping fun. I didn't know about this area of Circus Circus until this video. Thanks for the new idea.❤❤❤
Thanks for playing the coin operated machines! It brings back great memories of playing at The Sands and winning my first big $1000 “jackpot.” Those coins surely made our money last a little longer! 😂
I remember those coin machines. I lived in NYC in the 90s and my older roommate would go to Atlantic City every weekend. She would be on the bus back home with a soapy hot towel wiping your hands from touching the coins for hours.😮
So cool I said to the wife the other day I wonder if anyone in Vegas has the old school slots with coins still!??!! We are planning our trip back there in Feb. for her B Day like we did for mine in Oct!! Vegas i'm totally hooked!!
Before my dad passed away in 2005 he wanted to go and play some slots I took him to Mountaineer and they had penny slots he had a bucket full of pennies and all he did was sit there and play he was never so happy❤😊

Glad you got to do that for your papa ❤

Old school!! Love that sound of coins dropin!!
Me too!
Welcome to my World in the 90's, I was playing those before they came out with vouchers
Need to bring more of those coin slots back. Would definitely break my fast spin habit. 😅
Yup I used to always play the dollar coin slots, lol, so much fun with all my buckets, you rock Eric😊😊
El Cortez has a small bank of coin slots as well. LOVED it.
That's the only kind of slots they had when I started playing slots many years ago, hahaha
This is definitely a reminder of what fun we had back in the day. Luv the sound of the coins.😂
When i went to Vegas in 1971 we played all machines by hand, then we went and saw Elvis at a dinner show
“What am I gonna do with all these quarters?!”
Laundry? 🤷🏼♂️😆
When I started gambling in the 80’s all coin slots. Love to hear them drop. It’s great that they offer this for the experience. Enjoy!
Boy does this bring back memories when all machines were coin operated !
Love the 500 dollar win!! Congratulations 🎉🎈
The noise will be very welcomed, I'm going to love this videos many many replays!
Awesome!!

Ahhhh, those were the good Ole days. Absolutely lovin' the 500 coins 😅 Thanks for sharing another great video.
🤣 glad you enjoyed!!
Rookie, a real gambler can hold a roll of coins in one hand and feed the credits.
Lmao Greg
😂😂😂 Greg ain't wrong
Yep. Specially the $10 roll of quarters. We would stop at the bank before we went to the casino and buy our coin there.
