    ___
    Recitativo
    Pianti, sospiri e dimandar mercede
    lusinghe son di femina incostante,
    che per vantarsi amante
    d'un'incorrotta fede
    da per pegno d'affetto.
Ma che poi nel suo petto
vi regni un tal amor, ah non è vero,
se i pianti ed i sospiri,
e la chiesta mercé ch'amante brama,
    sì cangian di repente
in risi, in vezzi ed in lasciar chi l'ama.
    Aria
    Lusinga è del nocchier
    quel venticel legger
che placido lo invita a solcar l'onde.
    Ma fuor del porto appena
    i fiati suoi scatena
e il scampo alla sua vita allor nasconde.
    Recitativo
    O ingannato nocchiero
troppo incauto a dar fede a mobil aura,
ti lasciati condur fuori del porto,
e appena visto il mar, restati assorto.
    Ma è più deluso amante,
    che nel mare d'amore
    d'aura fallace d'amorosa spene
    allettato il suo core,
mentre spiega il desio del proprio affetto,
    ecco improvviso, oh Dio,
    di sdegno e d'odio insieme
un turbine lo assale empio e malvagio
che predice al suo cor un rio naufragio.
    Aria
    Cor ingrato dispietato
    sol racchiude inganni e offese,
    sol nudrisce infedeltà.
Ma poi vuole giusto il cielo
che se prova il stral d'amore
    non ritrovi che rigore,
    che disprezzi e crudeltà.

    Translation (by Hugh Graham):
    Recitativo
Tears, sighs and pleas for mercy
are the wiles of an inconstant woman,
which, to boast that she is a lover
    of steadfast faith,
she gives as a token of her affection.
But that then in her breast
there reigns such a love, ah, that's not true,
    when the tears and sighs
and the begging for mercy that one in love desires
    suddenly change
into laughter, simpering and abandonment of the lover.
    Aria
    Beguiling to the boatman
    is that light breeze
that calmly invites him to plough the waves.
But hardly out of the harbour
    it unleashes its full power
and hides from him the way to escape and survival.
    Recitativo
    O deceived boatman,
too ready to put your faith in the inconstant breeze,
you allowed yourself to be led out of harbour,
and no sooner had you glimpsed the sea, than you were engulfed.
But even more deluded is the lover
    who, his heart lured on
    into the sea of love
by the false breeze of love's hopefulness,
just as he is pouring out his desire,
suddenly - oh God! - behold,
a wicked, savage whirlwind of contempt
    and hatred strikes him,
boding a dire shipwreck for his heart.
    Aria
    An ungrateful, pitiless heart
harbours nothing but tricks and injuries,
    and nurtures only inconstancy.
But then a just heaven ensures
that when such a heart feels the pangs of love
    it experiences only severity,
    scorn and cruelty.

the sheet music isn't in the same key, is it?
I may be wrong, but the audio is higher than the sheet music, isn't it? correct me if I'm wrong.
