I remember the day John Lennon was shot. In the UK the news broke early morning because of time zones. It was the one morning my baby brother woke for a 6am feed, usually he slept through. I walked past my parents bedroom and saw mum sat up in bed crying. She had, at first, thought it was a mistake or a publicity stunt. When she realised it wasn’t, she was so upset. John Lennon wasn’t the saint some people portray him to be, but he didn’t deserve to die in that manner. I agree with Ringo’s statement about the perpetrator now becoming infamous, that is unfortunately the consequence of what he did. I do believe that MDC is much safer in prison for the rest of his life than released into society. Even after almost 45 years, he still has many enemies in the outside world, because of what he did and also what he has said in interviews at the time of the killing and afterwards. I can’t forget the date that George Harrison died either. It was my daughter’s due date. She arrived 2 weeks earlier. I used to sing Here Comes The Sun to her as she was dozing off for her afternoon nap. The Beatles have always been a big part of her life, for her 18th wedding went to Liverpool for the weekend, and her first alcoholic drink was in The Cavern Club.
I was watching Monday Night Football when Howard Cosell announced it during his play by play commentary in the last few seconds on the game clock. Six years before he died he did a halftime interview on Monday Night Football with Howard. My oldest maternal cousin's granddaughter's first name is Lennon and my mom's maternal grandmother's maiden name was Glennon.🤣
I like Beatles so I watch. I live for Beatles, I breathe for Beatles. I wish I could just work at that Beatles museum in Liverpool and yap about them all day because I can’t seem to find a real job
Thank you for this , it just means so much, to me John to me forever, John’s life, amazing life I always wish this never happened, The Beatles, John My Favorite Forever, I Miss Him, I listen to his music and remember, Remember his life , the man he was, the love he had, that tragic day, Forever John is with me, with us, Imagine if John were here now, Love John
Personally, I like 'The Beatles'(The White Album) the best out of all of the Beatles' albums. The amount of oddities in the stereo versus mono versions, the different genres, the avant-garde Revolution 9 and then there are all the Esher demos and other songs and takes which have been released later. The cover has a certain eeriness that draws me to it. The cover doesn't have the colourfulness of Sgt Pepper's and doesn't have the serendipity of Abbey Roaď, but the pure white background baring only their name has a sort of "we are so famous that we don't need a cover" and "we are so meaningless that we don't need a cover".
WATCHMOJO:"This video is your one-stop-shop for EVERYTHING you've ever wanted to know about the Fab Four." - ME with a functioning brain: "No it isn't."
Now we know why they need to make a 4 parts movie about the Beatles..even watch mojo need to do a 40min long video to just explain 50% of interesting things about the Beatles .
It was Mia Farrow's sister Prudence (as in "Dear Prudence") that he was accused of trying it on with. Although there is serious doubt if this allegation was true.
Everything I’ve ever read about the alleged incident says that it was Mia that he hit on, not Prudence. Prudence was probably too busy meditating in her bungalow and refusing to come out, hence “won’t you come out to play”
That was a bullshit story invented by Alex Mardos (the so-called "Magic Alex") , who was just a hanger-on and a scrounger, who'd been leeching off John Lennon, and became jealous of the Maharishi's influence over John, so decided to start a smear campaign about the yogi being a sex-pest. John was stupid enough to believe it. Ironically, I became disillusioned with John as result of this story. He was a great talent, but a very poor judge of people. After Magic Alex left the scene, it was just one con-artist after another, as far as John was concerned. ( I mention no names, of course ! )
Paul's inspiration for Blackbird was Billie Holiday's biography. She was persecuted not only for the color of her skin but as a drug addict and alcoholic by Harry Anslinger, founding director of the Bureau of Narcotics, the predecessor to the modern US Drug Enforcement Agency. He ordered his agents to handcuff her to her hospital bed while she was terminally ill in the end stages of cirrhosis.
What Beatles list would you like to see?

A 40 minute Beatles video? I know how I'm going to be spending the next while.

The “hidden” bit at the end of the sgt pepper album can also be heard on cd
Every Beatles fan knows all this. This video should be directed to new Beatles fans.

The 'Lucy' is Lucy O'Donnell . Another girl in the drawing was Irish. Can't think of her name right now.
Love the spoofs on my favorite band!
WATCHMOJO:"This video is your one-stop-shop for EVERYTHING you've ever wanted to know about the Fab Four." - ME with a functioning brain: "No it isn't."
I would have to say; The Best of the Beatles.
Funniest line in the series
That's a big Guitar John.
"In Australia, they call him Dingo".
"I'm so Tired, I'm Only Sleeping were written by John when he was tired and sleepy"
15:10 George Harrison did a cameo on All You Need is cash as a news reporter in front of Banana Corps office with Ron Wood.
22:53 The "height" of the band's success, lol.
Those farrows, everybody’s after them
Let it be
Great band; great music.
Ya missed everyone’s reactions to George’s passing..
You're doing a piece on musicians, but using non beatles' songs as background! As the English would say, WANKERS!!
99.99% of fans already know this stuff
As a Beatles fan, I'm not going to (continue to) watch this due to all the inaccuracies.
Who the hell wrote the script!? A monkey!!?
12:21 It's not ROO-tels.....It's RUTT-els.

shaddup
Just a half-assed rehash of well-known back stories voiced over chaotic & random video clips.

I don't get it. What's the point of me watching this?
Paul wasn't the wordsmith, sorry. But boy he could knock out a tune.
For someone who wasn’t a wordsmith he certainly knocked out some fine lyrics to go with those tunes.
Wrong, Sorry!!
5 min in and so many errors
Any top 10 is subjective,a Beatles top 10 hmmmn. Nah sorry.
This is really lame, well covered stuff guy.
This is basic Beatles. Nothing new here.
What a load of crap 😂
