I'm a HUGE fan of Family Guy and dreamt of being a staff writer for them since high school! I'm hoping they see this video and want nothing more than to offer me a job (after issuing a cease and desist, ha).
I wrote, drew all character and location art, animated, voiced all the characters (except Meg), and composed all of the music (fusing Family Guy and Harry Potter). I created everything from scratch.
There WILL be an EPISODE 2 for Diagon Alley, but Quirky Kid will first publish an Episode 1 of a couple more on-going stories FIRST. So, PLEASE be patient, and please SUBSCRIBE so you can be notified when the next one comes out.

Episode 1 is as much as Fox will allow me to make. I had a plan for the whole first film, and already had the script for episode 2, but I have no power in the situation.

I hoped they'd hire you, the show has been weak for years. Did you have to ask permission to make the first one? Did you write a script for episode 2? If so, it would be great if it you leaked it anonymously.

You joke but for a 4 minute solo animation, the quality of this is far from bad.
If the actual voice actors replaced the voices I think this could pass off as a real episode.

this is actually pretty brilliantly written and conceptualized, and fits right in with the humor style of Family Guy. Though, I have to concur with many of the other comments on here - if you continue to move forward with this, see if you can reach out to find voice actors who sound more like the actual characters. That's the only weak point here.
im guessing you didint have much of a budget but i just want to say a 21 minute episode of family guy is about 2 million dollars to make you did a skit that looks just like it with little or no budget that's sad wow GG family guy is practically obsolete by a single fan good job Patrick

I think the time frame has a lot to do with the budget, plus paying the voice actors etc...
Jake Howden that could be true if all the episodes weren't getting worked on at the same time in between seasons like how they storyboard and draw half of season 8 while in the finale of season 7 but that begs the question ***** How long did it it take you for this video
It took me a little over 2 months, but any further episode would take me half the time (because all my base assets are now drawn and ready).

Aside from the obnoxiously slow pace of the show and obviously the Voices you preety much nailed a typical Family Guy episode from the weird close ups to the raunchy humor. I'm just sad your not getting paid 2 million dollars for this.

+Ali yeah, um, no. not even close. no one that does the "im gonna do a bunch of impressions" is no where even close to sounding like who they are trying to emulate. who ever did this did a better job doing the voices and they weren't close at all.
Not only was the animation quality incredible but the way you nailed the character writing and the humor... SPOT ON!
This needs to be the next Family Guy Trilogy! I wonder if Seth McFarlane would need J.K. Rowling's approval to make it happen or because it'll be a parody it would be protected as fair use of material.

+BartJ583 simple really, just being able to draw it correctly. I use Anime Studio Pro myself, and it actually gives you an option to trace images as well, but this is a bit to detailed to be traced so he's just probably a great artist.

I want to work for Family Guy. This is my resume to them. It's legal to write a spec script and submit it to them, but the industry is weird, and I've never been able to get them my scripts. So, I animated it, put it out for you to watch, and hope they watch it too :)

Wow, you really capture the spirit and humor of the show. That's really hard to do (been studying screenwriting for years here, and was always intimidated by being a staff writer on another show) But you seem to have it down completely. It is impressive just how well made this animation was. Honestly, it was much more entertaining to watch than the more recent Family Guy episodes. I just wish Meg had a bigger part in this, Hermione was my favourite character in Harry Potter.

This is EERILY Accurate
I'd say the only thing that looks off is the the tweening where the characters rotate their heads or torsos in place. It looks a little too smooth, and I think in the actual show they'd achieve those movements by actual frame by frame instead of interpolation with keyframes.
Damn your animation is good. Near perfect. I'm gonna guess you actually worked with the team on family guy considering how well your writing fits with the show.

I won't deny that this guy is really, REALLY good. But the thing about Family Guy is that it's the "adult" equivalent of 3 year olds telling jokes about weiners and laughing at farts. And they actually do exactly that on the show itself.

This is really good, it's clear to see you put a lot of effort into this. Of course the voices aren't like the ones on the show but I didn't mind your voices, at the end of the day it must be very hard to sound like Seth MacFarlane's impressions.
